An amazing place. We arrived in parry sound late at night on a cross-country road trip with two young children. The owners waited for us and gave us a beautiful cabin to stay in for the night. Two of the friendliest and most helpful people I’ve ever come across in the hospitality industry. A beautiful property, clean and cozy cabin, and great hosts. We will be stopping there again on our way back and will be trying the restaurant. Thank you for the great stay!

My husband and I chose the Log Cabin to celebrate a special birthday. Stayed 4 nights 5 days. Owners, Prem and Nav are on site and always ready to help with any needs. Beautiful surroundings, clean and well kept, bug free cabin with comfortable King bed, fireplace jacuzzi tub and sweet porch. Food in the stunning restaurant is totally fabulous and a marvellous menu to chose from - with the same chef who was there before winter changed hands. Servers all so pleasant and efficient too. Day trips to Parry Sound or beaches nearby create much to do and experience! Highly recommend this place of wonder and respite!

I popped in for dinner with my boyfriend. The filet mignon was the BEST I've ever had! The steak was cooked to perfection and the sauce was outstanding! I added on the blue cheese crumble and was so glad I did. My partner had the shrimp and scallop risotto, he had to resist licking the plate. Excellent and very friendly service! The restaurant is beautiful, the view is stunning. We will be returning customers. 110% recommend!!

I have been cottaging up here for decades and only just had my first meal last week at Log Cabin. Definitely exceeded my expectations. The prime rib and coconut cream pie were absolutely fabulous! Great dining room.

This review is for the restaurant only. We've been dining here for over 35 years and have always enjoyed ourselves but yesterday we went for our 45th wedding anniversary and were greatly disappointed. The experience started off fine - we were seated, ordered and received drinks and were shown the list of specials by the maitre 'd all in a timely matter. My husband and I both ordered the daily special soup and we were latter told that they were out of it although it was only 6:30 on a Saturday night in a half-full restaurant. Oh well, we switched to garlic bread with cheese. Then we waited. We had to ask the waitress for more water 3 times, the appetizer dishes and cocktail glasses were never removed from the table, she never asked if we would like anything else to drink and to top it all off when I received my order of surf & turf I asked where the drawn butter was (as was clearly mentioned on the menu, we double checked) we got a look as if she had no idea what we were talking about. Then she brought a butter warmer with a tablespoon of solid garlic butter (it was obvious that it's the same butter they use on the garlic bread). I had to stir it with a spoon to get it to melt. My husband had the lamb, which was good, and my steak was fine but it took and hour and a half to bring out the entrees after we ordered them! We quickly asked for the bill because we'd been there over 2 hours and complained about the poor service to the maitre 'd and all we got was "sorry". The management has changed in the past year and this is the first time we've been here since then but we'll be finding another fine dining restaurant in the future.

Great dining experience. Complements to the chef. Excellent service and food was top notch. Rooms are clean, somewhat rustic, but well maintained. Would stay here again.

Overall, pretty good. We attended with a large group. The service was amazing, very professional and fast! A few people in the group had issues with their meals. For me, the veggies were undercooked and the steak was over cooked. Still ate it without complaints it just wasn’t how I ordered. Since I have only been once can’t say if this is the usual or the chef had an off night.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and celebrated our 20th anniversary. Every time we stay we eat at the log cabin as well. The menu presented at Thanksgiving was exceptional. We had the pleasure of sampling an appetizer, main course and desert. Each portion was delicious and fresh. Our server was very polite and professional. I would so recommend the log cabin for Thanksgiving. A proper family environment that makes you feel welcome and at home. The people that run the inn are so pleasant and accommodating. A big mention to the cleanliness. Our rooms were clean and tidy. The restaurant was impressive. The restrooms were spotless. Please visit here. This was our third visit and will certainly return. All I can say is wow……..We have been here now 5 times in the last few weeks and I have nothing but good things to say about it. The new ownership has made a big difference in the food taste and quality. They really know what they’re doing and the chef is extremely talented. I’ve had the steak filet was cooked perfectly and you could cut it with a butter knife. The rack of lamb also tender and delicious. The seafood risotto was executed perfectly and the flavours were amazing. Our guests had the vegetarian curry dish and raved about it. The appetizers are really nice and they have a twist to their Cesar salad that you must try. The new owners are there and make sure that your dining experience is perfect and the service from the staff is great. We used to go to Crossroads restaurant in Rosso but The Log Cabin Inn’s food and atmosphere is far better and less expensive.

This place is beautiful! The service and food were amazing. We all had the prime rib which was cooked perfectly. Considering this is what we felt like a fine dining place (linen tablecloths and linens, etc) the prices were good. We also stayed in one of the cabins which were so cute and well maintained! Definitely recommend staying and dining here. The owners are very nice and hospitable.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Parry Sound. The food never disappoints. The prices are reasonable. Their kitchen stays open later than any other place I know in the Sound. It has a distinct Twin Peaks vibe, and I love it so much.

Attended a birthday dinner for my sister. Hours of operation are very short, so the restaurant filled quickly at 4pm. Was loud with another party there. We had 4 of us. Despite being busy, food arrived quickly and was exceptional. The presentation was very appealing. The twist on the escargot app was fun. Didn't expect not to have a traditional version. The topping and garnish and pastry were nice. My orzo was no over cooked, and the seafood was delicious. We found the prosciutto to overpower the porkchop my sister ate. The salty nature took away from the natural porkchop flavor when wrapped in it. When added to the ceasar salad, it was a good touch. The roast beef was juicy the sides were very tasty. Plenty in each portion. Overall, a good experience.

We stopped in for dinner in May. The food was bland. No flavour. I had the muscles and the sauce was close to the flavour of water. Then the prime rib. Once again very bland. Service was par. Very disappointed because last year we went for dinner and the food was amazing. New owners need new chef. My wife ordered the ragu pasta and said the beef was tough and chewy.

Restaurant only review: excellent food, excellent service. The server, Laura was very friendly and knowledgeable with helpful recommendations. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed. The ambiance was perfect. Was there for a bday dinner…which the staff made memorable. I would highly recommend. Prices on par with other dining of this type.

Service was painfully slow. Over 3 hours to get your dinner was way too long, even for fine dining.

We ate outdoors on a small grassy field. Great for us, but a challenge for the staff... who handled things gracefully with humor. Food was fantastic! If you're yearning for "fine dining" then Burtons Log Cabin Inn is the spot for the Parry Sound area. Well done!

We had a cabin rented for us for our wedding night and didn't have the best experience. The room was clean but very cold when we arrived. I had wanted to take a bath but the hot water was a dark yellow, even after running it for several minutes. Even washing my face with the like-warm water that came from the tap turned the white wash cloth yellow. We couldn't get any hot water to come from the taps. The fire place was very old looking and barely had a flame when it was turned on, did not have a good ambiance in the room. Very dark and dingy.

Restaurant only: Excellent service and food at very reasonable prices. Great ambiance for fine dining. Log finishes and beautiful paintings. The prime rib has very generous servings and the dessert was delicious!

Brutal. Our prime rib was shoe leather despite ordering it medium rare. We were told it was the end of the service window (we had a 7:30pm reservation) and if we wanted something other than what we were being served we’d need to come before 6pm. Seriously??! We spent $250 and they didn’t even offer us a complimentary coffee. Buyer beware.

The woman running the establishment will be very uncouth if addressing a complaint to her. Beware if you are living with a disability or have a medical condition and decide to come here as; 1.None of the cabins are fully accessible and no details/dimensions of the space will be provided to you upfront. The porches are *not wheelchair friendly* by AODA as there is about a 4 inch step into the doorway once you get up the steep ramp and it would have been professional to be notified before taking my disability money, as I inquired about the details before travelling there but wasn’t given accurate representation of level of access by the owner over the phone. 2.The outdoor property maintenance is also likely to interrupt your “quiet getaway” as I was forced to listen to an industrial lawn mower for the first two hours after my arrival. The previous website did not outline this and didn’t fit the description as I pointed out to the owner. 3. My mother complained to the Owner/Hostess Kathy about the persisting industrial noise after an hour of it outside our cabin and the woman was not accommodating. She did not postpone the unnecessary cutting of the grass (which was already cut and didn't need more cutting) even after it caused stress and physical damage to me. I had to further educate the Hostess of my ear condition since she initially did not take my mother’s words seriously when confronted. Nor did Kathy acknowledge the fact that I am in a wheelchair and can’t get in or out of her cabins safely to tell her face to face. 4.This discriminating hostess then would not give my money back in full after she said in writing that she would after what happened when I was staying there. Instead she scammed us and ruined what was supposed to be a quiet holiday, I also wasn’t expecting to be discriminated. 5.Kathy needs to be educated in the Human Rights Code and live up to her advertised standard as a service+temporary housing provider. Kathy is a dishonest business woman it seems who also didn’t want me in her restaurant. She said it was stressful for HER that I had to illustrate the stress and pain I was in, (that she herself caused) though, she chose not to tell her landscaper to stop disturbing me with his lawnmower. (A simple request). Generally those with disabilities or medical sensitivities are an inconvenience for her as she further implied within her email response back to me. With my first few hours of arrival and after driving over two hours to get there I had to nurse the severe pain in my ears and a migraine all night due to the loud noise exposure from arrival day. I had to spend one night there unfortunately as the local areas had no vacancies and I had no energy to drive home in the state of health I was in. She exercised zero compassion as a human, made me feel so unwelcome, ruined my holiday but took her cut despite the harassment and personal damages I incurred. She wouldn’t refund my money back over her debit machine when my mom went in to retrieve it and she said it was “too busy” to do that. (Kathy made sure she got what she wanted first: for me to want to leave the property). I’ve been waiting for my full refund since the summer 2021 and am considering suing Kathy for the discrimination alone. Her cabins need an upgrade structurally and insulation. Since they are conjoined, the whole floor shakes and you can hear the other guests through the wall and when they walk or slam their doors it vibrates the whole cabin. Forget sleeping in, forget telling Kathy to control unruly guests if they are there. (She isn’t responsible for a disturbed vacation). It’s too bad as it could be a nice place to stay if at least one cabin was inclusive, had professional service and if Kathy respected paying guests who are just hoping to unwind and have some quiet versus being bullied, blamed and then robbed for almost $200 a night.

Great place to eat. We have been going to the log cabin for about 20 years a couple of times each cottage season. Quality of the food has not change over the years. Priced at fine dining. Great service each visit.

Quaint comfy cozy cabins! We had a to die for braised lamb shank and prime rib romantic dinner in front of our own private fireplace. Topped off with a jacuzzi bath for two!! Just a perfect hidden gem!! We love going there!
