Another brilliant Orthodox monastery, in the center of the city. A real oasis, with a big temple of unique beauty. A perfect place for praying...

The new church of martyrs and confessors is a "must go" in Moscow. Has one advantage over Christ the Savior, you can take pics. Beautiful place and no far from the metro station. Woman please don't forget this is a religious place, don't use miniskirts or shorts and you must cover your head.

The Sretensky Monastery in Moscow is an awe-inspiring place that showcases the rich history and spiritual heritage of Russia. Stepping inside feels like entering a different world, transporting visitors to a serene and peaceful oasis amidst the bustling city. The architectural beauty of the monastery is enough to leave anyone in awe. The white stone walls, golden domes, and intricate details of the buildings are truly a sight to behold. The complex itself is well-maintained, and the lush gardens surrounding it add to the overall charm. As one explores the monastery, it is difficult not to be enchanted by the many treasures it holds. The icons and murals displayed throughout the premises are breathtakingly beautiful, with vibrant colors and intricate details portraying scenes from the Bible and the lives of saints. The artistry on display is nothing short of incredible. One of the highlights of visiting the Sretensky Monastery is attending a service at its magnificent cathedral. The harmonious sounds of the choir and the powerful prayers create an atmosphere of pure devotion. The experience of being part of a religious ceremony in such a historic and important location is truly memorable. Beyond its religious significance, the monastery also offers a range of cultural and educational activities. It boasts a bookstore where one can find a wide selection of books on history, spirituality, and theology. Additionally, the monastery hosts concerts and lectures, which serve as excellent opportunities to learn more about Russian culture and traditions. The Sretensky Monastery is not only a place of worship but also serves as a community hub, offering help to those in need. The monastery operates a social center that provides support to the homeless and offers various educational programs. This commitment to social welfare further enhances the monastery's reputation as a place of compassion and charity. Visiting the Sretensky Monastery in Moscow is an enriching experience. A most recommended religious place.

A place that inspires silence and introspection even, indeed, when one is an atheist ... The serenity and the energy that this monastery hides from the tumult Muscovite clear are really worth seeing

The best and the most beautifully place in the downtown. Monastery and the New Cathedral are the perl of the district. And the Garden inside the Monastery is just great. Astonishing. The one minus is the lack of parking spot (its Moscow Downtown dears). You can register for the Excursion where the highly experienced tourist guide will tell you all the story and religious heritage if the place. Besides you can visit book store, Jewelry store and get some traditional Russian food in the Cafe, located there.
