The views from this accommodation are stunning - an infinity pool that looks out over lush tropical jungle and mountains. The rooms themselves are big, clean, rather basic but great value. The staff are all very friendly, and the food is delicious! Breakfast was included in our stay and had a good varied menu. The location is perfect if you want to walk to the well-known waterfalls in the area, and it’s a good central point to see other tourist sights in this area. We really enjoyed our stay here, wish it could have been longer!

Great place and quiet with an amazing view. The WiFi connection isn't strong enough for all the guests. The cottage is really close from the entrance of the Waterfalls. Beers can be buy directly at the cottage (good point for Lombok)

The view from the pool is amazing! I love the food from the restaurant especially the spring rolls. In the room, I had the best hot shower since I left home. Very strong water pressure and hot water temperature as your wish. There are everything I need in my room, though don’t include the closet but shelves are good enough for my clothes. I enjoy my three days here and thanks to wonderful staffs for helping me when I need it. I highly recommend this homestay to you.

The BEST home stay I’ve been to in Indonesia! Lovely family, breathtaking view from the great pool, spacious rooms, good beds, good and hot shower, great value, and great laundry service. They also organised a driver for us to get to Kuta at a fair rate.

Lovely place to stay! People are really nice, food is really good and cheap and the view from the hotel is amazing! With the swimming pool in front of the mountains you can’t complain much. The rooms are big and comfortable and everything was clean. Totally recommend it

The hostel is good but don't book the Rinjani hike with them! They basically try to get you up the mountain as fast as possible, with no preparation and no regard of your safety. See below for more information. The hostel arranged someone from the family to do the hike with us, his name was Dika. The evening before he "prepared" us for the hike. It was a two day hike up to the summit. We would hike up to a base camp with tents, and we would then at 2:00AM wake up to do the last part in the dark to the summit. So here are the reasons why you shouldn't book a hike here, and be really careful at other places: 1. I asked to rent hiking shoes from them (which I know they can arrange if they want) as I only had tennis shoes and crocs with me this trip. Dika said: "Don't worry your shoes are ok". I trusted him as he is a "guide". The hike is actually really an intense hike with a lot of loose rocks, rain coming down the paths, climbing over things. Everyone, including Dika, knows you need shoes for the Rinjani hike. He had them on himself too. I ended up slipping and sliding up the mountain with my crocs on for about 6 hours as the tennis shoes were giving me blisters. 2. He only had one poncho for me which probably cost 10 cents on Alibaba. It tore of after 5 minutes. He had nothing else prepared for us. I had to do 3 hours more hiking in the rain up the mountain while it was getting as low as 3 degrees up there. 3. When we started the track up the summit in the night, I wasn't feeling good. I had shortness of breath and I was sliding all over the place in the dark. So after 20 minutes of the last hike, I decided that I wasn't going to be able to finish the 3 hour hike to the summit, so I wanted to go back. I was with a friend, and I wanted for him to able to continue. Dika decided to let me go back on my own down the mountain and not call anyone at the camp side to help me find my way. I ended up getting lost twice, calling for people on the mountain to help me find my way. It was really dangerous and I felt unsafe. Anyone who knows the hiking code wouldn't let someone go down a mountain in the dark, trying to find its way back, who has never been there. It is ridiculous! 4. The final day on hour way back Dika just walked 100 meters in front of us, rushing us down not guiding us in any way. He doesn't do any guiding. Don't book a hike here, and especially not with Dika. He is unfit to be a guide, and please choose for your own safety!

The overnight stay at Pondok Guru Bakti Cottage was very pleasant. We felt at home in this family accommodation. The food and the environment are very authentic. Especially the garden is incredibly loving and designed with beautiful plants. The treatment of us guests was very friendly and absolutely not pushy like in other accommodations in Lombok. The host "Mr. D” recommended us a fantastic tour with the best guide (Raden Macho) we have ever had! We made the „panorama walk“. The guide speaks perfectly english and tells you a lot of interestings topics about lombok and the nature. Here is the number of the tourguide, if you want to do a guided tour: +6287865914481 The price is also cheaper compared to the service than elsewhere in lombok. It is totally worth the money. We are glad that we were your guests and definitely recommend this accommodation.

We stayed two night at this hotel, the people working/living there are very friendly and we had a nice chat with them. The view is beautiful, it’s a bit hidden from the main road so no traffic noise (but there are some roosters in the garden). The room is clean and big, with AC, it’s not the cutest you could find (weird association of color and bathroom so big), but it’s perfect to stay a few nights and explore around or even relax with a book.

Beautiful view on the Rinjani from the room & the garden, nice homestay well maintained, spacious room, nice team and GREAT food at the restaurant (both for breakfast & dinner). Only improvement: wifi was not good in the rooms, but good at the restaurant. Terima kasih!

Owner was very helpfull telling where to rent camping equipment. Kept our luggage safe during the time we were in the mountains and arranged ride to airport for the cheapest price we could find in the whole village.

Very friendly family which really makes you feel at home. We stayed 2 nights, one before our Rinjani trekking and one after. You get a welcoming tea or coffee upon arrival. Rooms are very big and there are even some toiletries provided in the room. Beautiful view of mount Rinjani and the waterfall, grey monkeys in the surroundings trees. Indonesian food in the restaurant is delicious and at a good price. Wifi connection is slow sometimes, but ok in the restaurant. We had a nice talk with the owner, mr. D and he told us that wifi in Senaru in general is not good and very expensive to even have a little bit of wifi. Mr. D was very helpfull in sorting us out for things to do in the area. In the whole of Senaru you can see that the earthquake caused a lot of dammage, mr. D and his team are still building up (rooms are perfect though) and planning to improve the hotel every day. Thanks for having us and special thanks to mr. D in arranging a deck of cards for us :)
