Nice view and it is for free! Head towards the office entrance of the AER building close to Sendai train station and look for the elevator which takes you to the 31st floor. There you practically have a view in 3 directions though there are "only" two roofed terraces. The third direction can only be seen through the window at the elevator exits. Windows cover the whole area which means you do get reflections in your photos unless you bring something black to cover the lens. Still you get some nice output and it takes not much of your time to drop in up there. Enjoy the views!

The 9th floor has a nice view of Sendai Station.

A pleasant place for city sightseeing!! Recommended! Go to the 31th floor in AER building, there’s many escalator you can choose but make sure the escalator can go to the top. (There’s some escalator which go to the 30th floor maximum)

Absolutely free to access the observatory which offers excellent elevated views of Sendai. The directions of user ‘Exithamster’ below were spot on, only quirk being to push the button which says ‘31F’ rather than the button above (see photo). Starbucks was also nicer here than usual, handy little breakfast spot.

They have great popular shops like Family Mart, Mac Donald's, A book library, Clothes stores, A top view of Sendai City, a study room, and so on..the place is safe and a quiet place..

Very nice views from the 31st floor. Can see the Shinkansen too! At the time of writing it was free to go up.

Amongst the shopping centres in the area, this one is the tired one. It's a shopping centre that you go to for specific shops, not to browse, as the selection is pretty slim when Parco is just next door. In saying that, the bookshop is rather large and has a decent range of options. The office building attached to it means that it can be quite busy at lunch, and rush hour.

Visit the lookout terrace. Day and night.

After passing a glass door on the side, you could access the elevator that takes you to the 31st floor of the building for free between 10:00am and 8:00pm to get good views of Sendai.

Shopping mall with a awesome scenic view of the city

The shops are not too interesting, but the view of the city is fantastic. Take the lift up to the top floor and you can view the city in two sides.
