We really enjoyed our lunch at Shaluc! We ordered the chicken "drums of heaven," samosas, shrimp with noodles, and chicken tikka masala. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and of high quality. The curry had a much richer and more authentic flavor profile than we've tasted at other Indian restaurants in Dakar. The owners came to our table and introduced themselves and made us feel right at home. Definitely recommend for delicious hand-crafted food!

We had the chicken tikka masala, butter naan and tandoori roti. All were very good but I wish the portions were a bit larger. I would definitely come back here again and order more chicken tikka masala. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was very nice. The restaurant is very simple and decorated nicely. It was quiet when we went for dinner around 9:45 and we were the only ones there. Service was very good. The young girls are kind. Pretty easy to find next to a large night club.

The best indian food restaurant in Dakar. The food is amazing and the environment is super cozy. Lucy and Shahluc are adorable, very hospitable, very attentive with a great client orientation. They also recomend wonderful dishes which will make you leave the restaurante wanting more of the dish.

Paradise for Vegetarian and Vegan food lovers. Situated on the sea shore with great views. Ambience is good. Bit expensive compared to other similar Indian restaurants in Dakar. The owners are so friendly and took care during our stay. A mustvtry if you visit Senegal. Restaurant is currently under renovation.

Excellent indian food, the closest to the authentic in Dakar. We also liked that they have "dosed" the spicies to a mainstream level. Breads are superb, tandory chicken excellent, and the service was very good and friendly. Loved it and I am sure I will visit you more times.

We had the Dal Makhani, Butter Chicken, and Fish Coconut Curry and they were all delicious! Everyone was super friendly and attentive. The kulfi was a perfect bit of sweet at the end of the meal!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at SHALUC restaurant that I must say exceeded all of my expectations. The food quality was simply excellent - from the appetizers to the main course, everything was cooked to perfection and tasted absolutely amazing. But what really stood out to me were the cocktails. They were expertly crafted and tasted absolutely divine. The mixologist clearly knew their craft and put together some truly memorable drinks that perfectly complemented the food. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience. The Indian food quality was exceptional and the cocktails were simply outstanding. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu.

The best Indian food in Dakar. It's clear that they care about using delicious spices in every dish. The service is great and staff welcoming. The portions are sizable and better yet, no need to mortgage your home to cover the bill.

Food smells good, looks good, and tastes great! There are some mosquitos at night on the terrace by the water, however bug spray is available on demand. More decoration work is needed in the oceanfront outdoor terrace.

The atmosphere is very relaxed by the ocean. The food was extremely authentic, delicious, and flavourful. The portion sizes were perfect. I left the restaurant feeling deeply satisfied. The owners are absolutely lovely and so are the staff. Will definitely be going back here soon.

Shaluc is a wonderful place to visit and eat well. We were tired, hungry, and losing hope of finding a delicious restaurant with vegan options in Dakar. But then, all hope was restored when we discovered Shaluc. This restaurant offers a fantastic variety of mouth-watering options, and we had our vegan cravings fulfilled. We were welcomed with warm informative conversation about south Asian cuisine and great customer service. We will definitely come again. 10/10 experience.

I had a lovely dinner at Shaluc. I was very impressed by the balanced and dynamic flavors of each dish. I ordered: Vegetable samosas: delicious! Standard fare. Chicken tandoori: Incredibly moist, tender chicken. I was very impressed. I’ve had a lot of dry chicken-this was a pleasant surprise. Flavors were lovely and textures balanced as well. Butter chicken: Absolutely lovely. I had never tasted a butter chicken sauce with cashew and raisins and this added a lovely sweetness and creaminess to the dish. Overall, I very much enjoyed my meal. I will be back to try their Indian-Chinese fusion dishes.

The most authentic indian cuisine you can get in Senegal , Dakar . Must try Samosas , dal makhni , drums of heaven , chicken tikka , seekh kebab . Mouthwatering food and fantastic ambience. Cheers to the owners Saurabh & Lucilla for bringing the taste of India to senegal

Was looking for a quick and affordable lunch. Got extremely disappointed. Ordered a dal and a naan, paid 7000 XOF (!), and waited 20 mins for them to make one naan. Result can be seen in the pictures. I’m still hungry while typing this and can’t understand how this meal could be sold as a main dish. Taste was good, but the value for money is simply abysmal. [Response to the owner] The food was delicious indeed, so I added a star to my review. The remainder of what I said holds true and is in no way changed by your objections: I ordered a dish from the "mains" section of the menu, waited 20 minutes for 5 lazy employees to make a single Naan (the Dal was ready in a breeze, which can be expected of something pre-made like this), and finally realized I was given a laughable portion that is far from the 300g promised by the owner (see image taken before starting to eat). If your business runs financially tight, I'd recommend to manage your workforce more efficiently and to buy a better scale. Customer satisfaction depends more on the food than the parking options.

This is definitely the best Indian food we've had in Dakar, by far. The service was excellent, too. Highly recommend it!
