Great coffee! I love the heavenly taste of my creamy cappuccino. My food was great too. I ordered Eggsplosion and loved it! Attentive staff, at the entrance. Pack on Saturday,I arrived at 9:30am and have to wait around 15minutes to be seated Overall I had a good time here. Just wish they have more available seats. Will come for more!

Firstly, I noticed this cafe for quite awhile but never had a chance to go because always full house. And finally , i got the chance to try this new cafe. Secondly, i love the ambiance and the decorations of this cafe ( should refer to google for more pics) it has nice vibes and simple decor. Thirdly, the staff very friendly and helpful as i ask for the food, unfortunately the time i came here the kitchen already close and i just had desserts and coffee. For me overall this place quite nice to hangout and have a sip of coffee.

Had a late evening meet up here. We had their pancakes which were hot and fluffy, great for a light snack. Staff were attentive and polite. Cozy modern ambiance. Accidentally spilled a drink before we could have it and they immediately helped clean up the table. Best part was they replaced the drink! Really appreciated that gesture. Big thanks 😬 Would not hesitate to visit again to try other food items in their menu or to just chill. Recommended!

My friend who is a coffee enthusiast and lives in cyber says that this place makes the best latte, and I must say it’s better than most places. Not bitter, not too sour, doesn’t taste like coffee flavoured milk. The pancakes were also exceptional, not as good as Monroe at KLoe hotel, but for that price, and real butter and maple syrup, it’s seriously legit. Trust me, I’m really picky with my pancakes. The eclairs were ok ok. The sandwich was also really good, perfectly toasted and just the right amount of filling. So nothing spills out. Can eat on first date without embarrassing yourself.

Good food, ok portions. Had long black as part of the breakfast set so haven't tried other drinks. The coffee was good enough for me but only wished it came in a bigger mug rather than a shallow cup. A bit limited in seating so not really suitable for large groups (4 max).

After visiting, we can truly really understand why it's popular: courteous and helpful staff, great food options (either sweet or savoury), great coffee (including imported blue mountain and Ethiopian beans), and comfy seats. Great for friends and family, there's also "bar counter" option for solo customers or when seats ran out (it's very packed, people would queue to wait for their turns to get seated--it's that good!).

I was here based on a recommendation by my partner, a Grab rider who picked up food from this shop. He said it's a long queue during the afternoon, seems very popular. So, I decided to go here during the evening. I ordered an all-day breakfast course and spinach spaghetti. It was perfectly seasoned. I like the salad, tastes like 'kerabu'. But for the sauté mushroom, I don't like it. Not because it's bad. Just my preference, I like it if it cooks longer. For the spaghetti, awesome. I even ordered a takeaway because it's not enough. I love the ambience, and the staff are great too. For sure, I'm going to repeat it. UPDATE: Second visit, still ordered same thing because it's good but this time I added Egg Bomb. Good starter before the main course. Love the sauce not sure what kind of sauce is that. I also ordered their Ice Caramel Latte and I love it. Not too sweet and still can taste the coffee as if you added an extra shot to it.

A cozy environment to enjoy your meal. Good service and food served in 10 minutes. Will come again to try out the egg Benedict and Nasi Lemak as it is unavailable. Food price is more or less the same that other cafe.

The Staff is Super Friendly and efficient. I wanted to take a la carte since I didn’t want the long black that they offered in the set. The staff helped me make it a set by adding in my preferred drink at a discounted. Love the ambiance, we stayed for almost 3 hours just talking. Coffee is super good. Definitely adding this to my preferred brunch spot. If you are vegetarian who takes eggs, you have plenty of options here

The place is new and it has one interesting menu with single origin coffee offerings. I tried the Kayumas coffee and it was smooth with just a tad acidity. The place is has a nice setting which is pleasing. It lost a star as it doesn't have any free flow water as most coffee place in Malaysia now has. If only we are not so kedekut with our filtered no need to boil water

Very milky coffee, bad service and average food. Best to go elsewhere. Updated comment based on reply from owner below: You did not recreate the coffee several times. You only did it once. We politely asked to recreate the iced latte with half the milk so that the coffee doesn’t get diluted and we can appreciate the coffee but what the barista did was he recreated the iced latte with the EXACT same milk amount and when we said it taste the same, the waiter just said this is our recipe, we can’t do anything about it. And she said if you want an extra shot you can go to the cashier and pay for it. That sounds ridiculous because we gave a solution and the barista did not do anything to accommodate. No point having a La Marzocco coffee machine and diluting the coffee with so much milk.

I was Al Alcea Cafe for a late night coffee with my son. As I enter the cafe, I found it to be spacious, comfortable and inviting. The tables and chairs of different types are scattered and green plants are everywhere, making the place looks like a garden. Unfortunately, the greens are artificial. There is a main table too, best for a group meal. As we ordered our coffee, the staff was helpful and accomodative. It was already late, and that was the last order for the day. My cappuccino at RM11.00, was nice and creamy while my son had the specialty coffee called Ethiopia (Aricha) which costs RM20.00. I feel that was quiet expensive for a black coffee. As we rush to finish our coffee, the staff told us that Alcea opens at 9am to 7pm daily, except for Fridays where it closes at 10.30pm. Lucky for us, that was a Friday night.

The gentle spectacle waiter, the decent girl waitress, the polite cashier man & the skilful barista have been playing crucial roles in maintaining this cafe reputation & services. Foods & various coffee choice are excellent especially egg benedict & scone fresh cream and its spread. The scone itself can be improved. I deducted 1 STAR 🌟 bcoz they no longer serve waffle after post pandemic. 😢

A nice independent cafe in Tamarind Square. It was just recently opened so I thought I'd try and see if there's any difference with the various other cafes. Barrista told us they rotate their beans every week and have their beans locally roasted. I can't remember what beans we had but I was pleasantly surprised at the taste of the latte we ordered. It was really good, a subtle taste of sweetness even without sugar. I tasted new depths of coffee not usually found in bigger coffee chains. Really worth a try if you're around the area.

We have been here several times and that means we love the food they serve + their good customer service. Ideal for breakfast & brunch- their egg menu is extensive- egg bombs & explosions, fluffy pancakes, delicious nasi lemak! You can order a la carte or choose your choice of brekkie with a long black. (iced or hot) Their big breakfast is generous (see pic below), then drink it down with a cup of foamy cappuccino which is topped with beautifully drawn coffee art. All these enhances the ambience of this hidden gem!

What a delightful cafe. Came on a weekday afternoon and the place was fairly busy. Coffee (and the coffee art) was good. The waffle with maple syrup was terrific. It really is one of the best in Malaysia. If you are in Tamarind Square, do check it out.

Nice ambiance, friendly staff but really disappointing food. Ordered the Fruit Basket Waffle & Buttermilk scones. Both items are cold even after I asked them to warm up the scones it’s still not warm enough. The waffle looked very nice but aside from the temperature , it has disappointing taste. Its just mehhhh… non crispy nor waffely … bland … only the ice cream is the hero… but if i want ice cream might as well go to baskin robin. For RM 28 for the waffle …i felt cheated by this shop.

We were there for our Brunch the food was delicious ,waffle was just awesome and we took big breakast set that was also tasty ,enough for 2pax additionally if you are not a beef eater then they will replace that with turkey which was really good for us. But you have to pay the bill first then only you can enjoy food n if feel you have to add on something then again u have to go through the billing process these thing is lil but painful otherwise we enjoyed our meal a lot, will visit again.

RM21 for scrambled egg on toasts and ice long black. Ok lah. Was quite hungry. Wanted to have the big breakfast but wasn’t sure was worth the RM41. Will come back next time when pocket tebal sedikit. Nice ambience. No wifi which is ok lah, i guess they want people to talk to each other. But my Unifi line is quite bad here so i need the wifi to do work 😂

Accidentally went into this cafe after Saujana Hijau trip, Alcea surprised me with super good breakfast! We have ordered a big breakfast and egg sandwich, coffee and tea. The scramble egg is a blast! The combination of big breakfast is great! The egg sandwich taste real good! It open up my eye to the egg sandwich world! Coffee is great, if you happen to sit in front of the barista, you will get to see how they make coffee. The SOP and hospitality are at the top notch, very attentive and you feel safe there! The experience here do surpass any other cafe available in KL city! Good job and thumbs up to the team! 👍🏻👍🏻

The coffee was fragrant and delicious. Can cater to customer's preference like no-sugar or separate sugar. The food was well made, tasty and cooked nicely. Quite pricey. But we went there for anniversary breakfast so it's fine

You know a place is good if they get their eggs benedict right. And they did. Also tried their Big Breakfast which had quality mushrooms and potatoes. I would say their prices are above average but worth the value for the occasional visit. The long black was good but the hot chocolate tasted too much like the Cadbury powdered choc (probably is). Small cosy cafe.

Was here for lunch, table setting and ambience were fine. For the price paid, the foods doesn’t really meet expectation. The dory and squid were too salty, pasta was very plain and served cold.

Nice ambience, i like their lighting and concept overall. Sitting is actually limited at one time probably 30+- people.. I had classic waffle combo (17) basic waffle with butter and any 3 choices of syrup, mapple/choc/ not sure maybe strawberry... I chose maple and it is awesome with the waffle. Waffle might not be hot but, it is the kind waffle that is nicely thin crisp on the outside and syrup absorbable for the inside on room temperature... Not soggy at all even after 5 minutes syrup being poured on. I love it. Combo came with few choices of drink, I chose iced long black. Coffee is nice, not ceroiiii..lol..

Good breakfast place. Found them on Google. 😄 Quite a good selection of food and drinks. Tried their eggs benedict. It is almost as shown in the picture. The piccolo latte was just nice. The menu is sent to your table and order at the counter.

was here for coffees only. so the only menu they had at 1pm was only coffees and pastries. so that fits. iced americano was okay. really love the vibe inside. cashier was not that friendly. the door girl was super friendly. i guess it’s the ying and yang that holds this cafe together. might be back for cakes cause they look delicious. love the sofas inside comfy and cosy.

Visited Alcea cafe recently as per recommended by my friend at work. He told me that they serve good coffee and food. I was however very unhappy with the service during my visit. The mains served turned out cold and the staff at hand did not attend to my request on hand. I hope the management can do something to improve the service and make this experience more pleasurable.

Amazing food. Fluffy pancakes with real maple syrup (thank you for that) and decent egg Benedict (the hollandaise sauce could be improved) but the taste was overall great. The coffees were real stand out for me. Definitely will come back soon.

One of the few cafes in Tamarind Square opened for breakfast. The cafe is nice and cosy, spacious and welcoming. Food served here is delicious and they offer a wide selection of coffees to choose from.
