    Was great when Dr Hollier and Dr Williams were there. I was a receptionist at Rowan Road donkeys years ago so know how it all works. Unfortunately, there are two extremely rude and bored older receptionists who are always unfriendly and unhelpful. Complaining to the practice manager about them (twice) was pointless, as nothing changed. Fully understand all the complaints on here. At Rowan Road, we had to attend courses regularly to make sure we knew how to treat people. Tamworth House needs to force this on their own uninterested staff! I changed surgeries because the staff are so awful and nothing is ever done about them.

    Some of the receptionists are rude and I don’t think they should even be working. Most of these reviews are targeted at the receptionists and makes the whole GP look bad. Whereas the doctors are very nice and they help with your enquiry and problem. The receptionists need better training and need to know how to speak to patients over call. I’m only giving 4 ratings because I had a good experience with the doctors and how much they have helped me and my family.

    How are the reception staff able to get away with such appalling service? Seriously, you would think they reviewed comments and take appropriate action. Training is needed on how to speak to patients and general human interaction (maybe even a smile). We are human beings, not a conveyor belt of robots to get through as quickly as possible. Such a vast difference between the actual GPs and those at the reception desk.

    More than a year after the pandemic and despite only having to deal with people over the phone - reception staff still struggle with their customer services skills. I just called for an appointment and the girl couldn't have sounded more deflated if she tried. Hmmm a receptionist being made to answer a phone call? Well I never. Customer service training would go a long way here. The south west London CCG really need to be called in. Meanwhile the pharmacy next door take on face to face appointments with a smile on their face as they help struggling patients from Tamworth House Medical Centre. The pharmacy deserve a medal.

    It's my chosen surgery and I'm totally happy with the service, the receptionist are friendly and helpful, you can have your blood tested and the nurse is very good, usually I get massive bruised, not with this nurse, she is very good, gentle and helpful

    Desk staff are rude and abrupt and can't seem to help much. And as for the waiting time it's an absolute joke. I will be changing doctors soon. I regret joining this surgery

    The doctors are real nice but there been times im waiting over an hour in waiting room not really acceptable, however like the rest of the reviews the receptionist really have no manners and very rude when speaking to you. There a new one with a foreign accent absolutely rude. I think the manager of the practice needs to really look into there workers if multiple people are saying the same thing rather then say write a letter

    I wish I could just give them 0. What rude receptionist they have at this surgery! Its been 2 weeks since I’m trying to book an appointment and I have been calling since 8:00am the only response I have gotten is oh we are fully booked for today! And they have been so so Rude that one of them just hung up without even trying to listen to what’s wrong. Absolutely rubbish!

    Unfortunately I can't give them a ZERO. Had a burning in my chest and I put it down to heartburn. After 4 days I went to the chemist and got a load of Gaviscon. Not working I went back and the chemist told me to go next door (the surgery) and get an urgent emergency appointment. When you go to this medical centre, you are greeted with a rude receptionist that isn't bothered and makes you wait 5 minutes. Half listening, wanting to know what is problem is? She than tells you to phone tomorrow at 8am. So I left. I stopped again in the chemist and he advised to phone 111 or go to A&E. When I got home my wife was infuriated and call the surgery and got the (only) same receptionist. She told my wife "I just spoke to your husband, can I speak to him. No hello, " didn't i tell you to phone tomorrow at 8am". She eventually, begrudgingly gave me an appointment for the following day at 10.30. Meanwhile my son was on his to 111. He passed me the phone and I spoke with a nurse. Within 90 seconds she told me this serious, a doctor will call me shortly. The doctor did call and it took him less then a minute he the seriousness of my situation and advise me to go to A&E urgent. They rush me though and diagnosis that I had suffered a "substantial heart attack". This could have been avoided if the receptionist could have been bothered. There want to know everything and they are not the doctor. There is no duty of care. The doctors, if you get an appointment are great. Note to the Doctors. These receptionist are the face of your medical centre. Why do we have to explain the reason why we need to see a doctor, are they nurses. Why do we have to give them our medical history? Is it not confidential? I will be moving from this surgery as soon as I'm better. It's unfortunate as I have been with them over 30 years. The doctors did phone me the following day (after I was admitted to hospital), he sounded worried at the way treated by one of his receptionist and was very apologetic. He said to call him if I need anything. Since this event I have tried many times to talk to a doctor with no avail. Sorry for the long review but I feel any new patients need to know. Regard Raj

    This is my old clinic. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE!!! The receptionists at this surgery - women in menopause are rude, have an attitiude or extremely patromising. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Wish I could rate this NO star. Looking for another surgery that is more friendly and professional. This particular Doctor was so rude. No care or understanding of how I felt.

    Extremely rude receptionists. It has been nearly one year and they only called me once when I registered with them last year. There is no communication at all from the surgery. My yearly blood test was due in May but there was no appointments available. Hospital asked them to do my sugar level test and ECG three months ago and this surgery never called me. And when I go to them or call them for appointment they never have appointments. It is a very very low class surgery with extremely rude receptionists. It's so low that I can't describe them in words.

    Hi, I've never felt really supported at this medical centre and really want to go back to my old GP. I believe they tend to be more a supportive to elderly patients but not when your younger and they cannot see what is visibly wrong with you. I merely asked for a GP letter for my employer so they had confirmation of the time I needed off from work, to recover from my operation. I had two major surgeries after I had a mastectomy on my right breast and an immediate reconstruction. My surgeon at the hospital told me, I would need the minimum of 8 weeks off from work and to be kind to myself. You see, I've always work from age of 17 years to now, and never taking much time off work. I also work through the whole of the pandemic supporting children and families, and having face to face contactm even before I received the PPE. But despite this, they decline from doing so, and stated they had no contact from me for months or from the hospital which is simply not true. So, during my recovery, I've learnt that I need further treatment for my health (cancer) concerns. This is difficult for me financially as without a gp letter I cannot receive any financial support from my employer. So now I am worrying regarding my health, treatment and money. Not a great place to be in at all. However, thanks to Macmillan Cancer support they have supported me through this, giving me advice and help, and theyvwill be in touch with this medical centre soon.

    I’m genuinely surprised at all the negative reviews. I’ve only had good experiences with this surgery. Their appointment system is a lot more streamlined and they’re very responsive to online messages. The GPs are professional and helpful.

    I have found the team this surgery to be excellent. The whole team has been really helpful and thorough in both initial care and in follow-up. The admin staff have been welcoming and efficient, and the doctors very attentive. The practice accommodation is well laid out and convenient, with parking and with a chemist next door. Highly recommended.

    Worst gp ever !!! I’ve been waiting 3 months for a appointment. They forgot to send them sent it to the wrong department & then after me calling like debt collectors they sent it through . I had to call the hospital manager and beg for help. Definitely looking for a new gp as this one is a joke

    I came in today to get the forms to register me and my family, there were no other people waiting and a lady working at the reception. I had to wait at the door to be served for almost 5 min then when my baby was starting to be nervous and only after that tried to get her attention she said that she wasn’t ignoring me. So after a couple of minutes she served me in a very rude way. The children form registration doesn’t have any time table copy at the front ( adults form does) and because it was on top of the adults ones I asked her about times and days she told me, getting the time table from the bottom of the forms..”if you read ……”. I was like sorry just didn’t saw that but tried to get more information as possible! I left the place in shock and wondering to myself why someone feel in right to be rude to others without having any reason! Horrible customer service ever!!

    I would just like to say that my daughter was seen by Doctor Bell for asthma and everything she has done for us has been a big help ! what a amazing Doctor she is she is a asset to the medical world I’m absolutely gutted she is leaving this surgery the nhs is full off amazing people and Doctor Bell is outstanding !!!     Despicable! These Reception Staff Are Diabolical. So rude don't know anything. Place isn't organised. Waiting long hours especially while having a under one child.     The receptionists at this surgery, like others have said are rude, have an attitude or extremely patronising. I’ve been going here for years and always dreaded who I would speak to when calling the surgery. As of recent I noticed they hired a new receptionist who seems lovely and is black! There was no diversity in their staff so this is good to see at least. There was one maturer receptionist who wore glasses on her nose tip who I despised because of her attitude. I hope she’s left.

    Absolutely appalling service from reception staff. I called today to try and book an appointment for next week as it is not an emergency. Even though their own prerecorded message says you can book appointments over the phone, I was told I can't do that and I need to use the app. When I said that the app only allows me to book telephone appointments and I need a face to face, the receptionist told me she can't help me and that I need to call at 8am for an emergency - basically taking an actual emergency's place for my issue. I asked since when is that policy in place. She said it has been in place for 3 years which is a lie as I have always been able to pre book appointments for non emergencies, to which she replied her colleagues have been breaking the rules. All of a sudden after this she said she can book me in for 7am in 2 weeks, and even though I told her I can't do that time due to other engagements she kept repeating this over and over again. When I told her to stop repeating the same thing for the 3rd time, she said she can't help me and ended the call. The attitude from a staff member who is supposed to be helping people was horrendous and there was no willingness to help, in fact she tried to put it on me as I wasn't able to attend the 7am appointment she was "kind enough" to offer

    I would give minus stars if they had the option I went in today and the level of service is so unprofessional and rude from the lady at the reception and I can't believe someone with that kind off attitude is working in the health service.

    Rowema the receptionist was very sweet and understanding booking my appointment through her was easy and lovely from her and haven’t had this experience ever as it was difficult with few times in the past but she has impressed me really liked the service

    I’m a little late to leave this review - my father had a stroke last year October and then diagnosed with full blown cancer early March which meant he needed end of life care. I have nothing but admiration for the GP in charge of his case Dr Sivram and also the staff in general were always helpful and sympathetic and responded swiftly especially at times when things felt impossible. Without their support and the district nurses - shout out to Alberta - and the care team - we would not have coped. People are so quick to criticise and yes things aren’t always perfect but they certainly outperformed for me. Thank you all so much❤️

    I Do not recommend this GP at all! My experience here was horrible, starting from the moment you step in the Gp; the receptionist are rude and can totally ignore you. And the doctor took my blood pressure 3 times!! Because “something is not working he thought and at the end he just said that I was okey” I went because I didn’t have any appetite for food, I was week, my sight sometimes was gone if I stand up very quickly, and I vomited anything I ate, All that for the doctor to tell me that I needed to drink more water and that he doesn’t see anything wrong?? So I just go home and until they don’t see me in a worse condition they won’t take me seriously I guess. Ridiculously bad service

    Very bad service ,i called them as i am in very bad pain , heart pain , they cannot even leave a message to doctor to see the client abit earlier. I have appointment later but i cannot bear my pain . They are not doing anything. Their staff is useles and talk like are boss. I will be reporting about them to standard team as they are not providing good services , people come with hope and i will change my medical centre

    Great service! When I contacted the practice for an appointment I had an appointment on the same day. The staff and Dr. La Porta were all very friendly and helpful. I especially loved how Dr. La Porta really took her time to explain my conditions with me as well as my treatment options. I highly recommend this practice. Thank you very much for all your hard work!

    I have been a patient at this surgery for over 20 years and have nothing but praise for the care and treatment myself and my family have received. I have always been able to get an appointment and the receptionists over the years have been most helpful. The doctors have been caring and professional. This year my husband was diagnosed with cancer and the doctor he saw was amazing. Recently I have seen Dr Jeong who was absolutely lovely. She listened so well and was very thorough. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.

    I’m really sad to see that Tamworth House Medical Centre has only a 2 star rating as I would give it a 5 star rating. In my 25 years of being a patient, I’ve received nothing but the greatest respect and kindness from all staff. I saw Dr Divaharan today and as always she was patient, kind and listened intently to me. The reception staff were lovely on my arrival. I could not recommend this practice more highly.
