👍👍 Had an great day here. Would definitely recommend. Staff were absolutely amazing, so helpful and friendly, and the museum itself was really big. We got guided around all the aircraft outside and inside and then got to experience live morse code which was really interesting.. we then got a lifejacket... People often mention museum, great, simulator, experience,

Had an great day here. Would definitely recommend. Staff were absolutely amazing, so helpful and friendly, and the museum itself was really big. We got guided around all the aircraft outside and inside and then got to experience live morse code which was really interesting.. we then got a lifejacket demonstration before we left where we got to put them on, learned about them and then inflate them. Overall, a wonderful experience..

Jane runs a great facility here catering for all areas of aviation interest. I've brought Beaver Scouts here and they have a great time here. Jane puts on a great program for them. They enjoy their time on the flight simulators, learning about the mechanics of flight, seeing and interacting with the indoor and outdoor exhibits..They especially love the inflatable life jacket demonstration. The show piece of this wonderful museum should be the Blackburn Buccaneer (XX897) but unfortunately one is only able to walk about it at ground level with no opportunity to view the cockpit.

Great spot. The 737 sim is amazing and very reasonably priced. A real cockpit converted to a sim. Very realistic.

Couldn’t even get to the museum itself, but the whole experience of trying to visit the place( the one in Shannon town) is a disaster !!! To start with, the info on the web is so confusing regarding the locations, tickets/ prices (no info at all) opening times etc. Websites are a joke, one of the links takes you to a website of a different aviation museum located in UK(!?). I rang them last Saturday (the museum was supposed to be open), a lady said “ not today, come tomorrow” ,the next day (on Sunday)we went there with 2 kids, and… (surprise !) the museum was closed!?!( just like it said on the web)… The whole organisation is an absolute mess, the information on the internet is a joke as if it hasn’t been changed for decades…very unpleasant experience that could have ruined our weekend, luckily we found where to go instead…

This is a great place. Or at least it has one great older gentleman working here. We went there on a Friday afternoon when it was very quiet. I and my wife and not yet 3 year old son were shown around by this nice old man who shared stories and let my son sit in the planes and he could not have been nicer. There might be better equipment in other museums but we got such a nice tour filled with loads of stories from his days as an RAF pilot. Great place for kids. Informal and informative.

Well worth a visit, we had a guided tour of some amazing aircrafts with an in depth tour. The guys are so knowledgable & passionate. Can't recommend any more 😁

This is an excellent museum and so unique in Ireland. To see the Buccaneer in all it's glory and cockpit sections of other RAF fighters and other aircraft is a sight to behold. The layout of the museum is very well thought out and great to see the new hanger been utilised. The staff are very helpful and informative. Travelling there with 2 young kids, they really enjoyed seeing the aircraft and all the displays throughout the museum. A must for aviation enthusiasts and highly recommend to families of all ages to see the only museum of its kind open to the public in the country.

Please dont get me wrong, a wonderful place , although staff was amazing, but signs could be better, no signs out side of the planes I didn't know what there was, advertising a cafe but all it was was a coffee maker, good for kids day out, but if you coming a long way then I would reconsider as there is not much to do for an adult ,pictures and models all over the place but again no signs to say what they was,,, plenty for kids, I just went for the sim experience which was satisfactory, this was a covid safe environment and well done to the staff for making it that way plenty of parking, all in all thank you for a good day

Price for tour and simulator not explained properly at reception. The elderly gentleman who guided us into the museum section was well informed and showed he had interest. However the museum is in bad need of renovation. The displays outside in poor condition. Once finished we headed in to reception for the simulator. No one on counter so we just went into the simulators which were free. A lady called over asked us to leave then said its an extra 20pp for the simulator. She was very rude and unprofessional. I tried to explain that when we arrived there was a group at the counter so the prices were covered. The young man at the counter said 8 for the museum and simulator. Mentioned no extras for the simulator. She became aggressive at which point we left. She did offer a refund but wouldnt accept that we were given the wrong information and very poor customer service. If your looking for a good historic aviation try the foynes museum instead.

A fantastic site and truly memorable experience ! The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend visiting the aircraft museum and booking a session in the Boeing 737-800 flight simulator. This is a great asset for the Shannon region !

€150 for 1 hr simulator. For that price I felt this was terrible on so many levels!!!! The instructor was a lovely guy who clearly knew his stuff but, and it is a big BUT, he was way too technical while instructing a person like me who has no experience! Constantly using terms and 3 letter acronyms for things I hadn't a clue of so every time I had to stop him to ask. This wasted a lot of time. A simple training video of what the terms meant prior to entering would have helped. On top of that, a lady interrupted the middle of our session to show a visitor the setup... completely unprofessional! The price included a tour of the museum which can only be described as tiny, run down and in BAD need of some care. For 1/5 of that price you can visit the Titanic Museum in Belfast so that pretty much sums it up really... overpriced for what is invloved. Definitely recommend to ppl to NOT visit!!!

😐 Took my twin boys (aged 9) that have autism there and there's a lovely lady in reception and the flight simulator instructor guy was very nice but everything was fine until a younger guy came along on a power trip for the last 20 mins and was constantly on our backs telling the boys be careful with...
