I just wanted a quick burger, but on whim I ordered the fish tacos too. The burgers were good, but OMG, what a life-changing decision to order the tacos. They’re some of the tastiest fish tacos I’ve ever had; the special sauce was so deliciously garlicky and they were so large I needed a fork to eat them. I’ve driven past this place so many times and I’m glad I finally gave them a try. I’m driving back there today for another round. Not to be outdone by the tastiness of the food— the staff were all smiles and super friendly and on the ball. This is my new favourite place in the area.

Mr. Fish is a must visit if you’re in the Shelburne area. My husband and I came for lunch and split an order of the Newfi Poutin and the fish tacos. The poutine was good, but the tacos were excellent. We should’ve just gotten two orders of tacos. The staff were super friendly and the reason we ordered the tacos. We even got a complementary dessert when the server discovered we were visiting on our honeymoon. I would definitely love to return if we’re in the area again.

Batter on the fish was undercooked; "seafood platter" was 2 pieces of fish, 6 scallops, and a huge amount of . . . mussels? Clams? They were unidentifiable. They put our cole slaw in the containers with hot food, so it was warm, which was gross. My daughter had lobster poutine- she said that was good, at least. $140 for 5 people. There is hardly any parking, no outdoor dining, and when we arrived we were asked if we'd made a reservation, something we had no way of knowing was required. We only got takeout because they were unable to accommodate us.

I was extremely disappointed with the food. My wife and I ordered a Lobster Roll to take out, to our big surprise, for nearly $20 we got a tiny hot dog bun with poor tasting, not so fresh lobster, to fill our large take out container was a double spoon of egg salad. I realize this restaurant has a lot of good reviews but for $20 you would expect much better. While travelling the province I had two other lobster rolls at other locations, including Subway Subs. Made me even more upset for the $20 I wasted at Mr Fish.

Fantastic food and service. It was very busy on the Sunday afternoon we were there. I had the lobster poutine and it was absolutely delicious... buttery lobster, flavourful lobster sauce, home cut fries... we both had food-gasms eating that. My partner's 50/50 scallops and class featured beautiful juicy class and the best scallops we have had. The room was noisy with families--but happy sounds! The wait staff were running, but they took time to explain the menu and make enthusiastic suggestions. A highlight of our trip! It was so good, we decided to stay in the area a little longer.

Great fish. Big order. Some of the best I've had.Good price. Fries need a bit of work but the 2 piece fish was huge and didn't need the fries anyway

Great place. Clams and fish tacos were great. Prices seem a little high but the portion sizes are well worth it. Fish was not overly battered and was very fresh. Pet friendly patio. The lady at the cash register was very friendly and I will definitely come again.

As a professional reviewer, I am genuinely impressed by this place's delectable seafood. It is evident that they have mastered the art of satisfying their customers, especially with their selection of soft drinks and coffee. Additionally, I adore the delightful touch of offering complimentary candy once you have finished your meal. This attention to detail truly sets them apart.

Great place for amazing clams and scallops . Kids menu is nice too.

All I can say is 10/10 absolutely amazing. Great sized orders, delicious fresh food, I recommend the fish tacos for sure!

Great dinner had at Mr. Fish. We were a table of 8, just ahead of a table of 9 so it was busy as heck in there. The wait staff did a great job, tag-teaming out the drinks and food. The food was also delish. Our waiter did an amazing job keeping it all together, she wasn’t salty at all, and turns out she was new to the profession! You go, girl, keep up the great work. Thanks so much for a great experience!

Nice little restaurant with an honest menu. Very friendly staff, Restaurant filled with neat details. Top notch tidy! The seafood chowder was prepared just in the morning with fresh catch. And it was a tasty, rich plate with a lot quality fish. Note, they sell DIY seafood chowder sets. Excellent fries. We had battered fish filets (help, they were large) and seafood platter (whatever the sea delivers) and it was a great experience. Fun goof: We ordered (six piece?) chicken with fries for my little daugther and expected something like chicken fingers. Turned out it was large pieces of chicken and the hole room was laughing when this big man serving appeared in front of a little girl. The have take out boxes as well ;-) You like fish and good food in general? You must visit this spot. We loved it and will come back next chance.

My favorite clams in Shelburne. Never had a bad meal here. 5/5.

Been here a couple of times now. Seems to be pretty busy throughout the day. Service was great! Food was mediocre. Only ever had the chicken and fish cakes. Both were very plain. My parents argue that the value is in the fish and chips here but doesn’t really stand out from the other fish and chip spots if you ask me. Large fillets though. Prices are reasonable.

Always love our food here and especially love the staff and hometown feel of the restaurant. Delicious seafood platter, lobster roll (cold or hot), seafood chowder... A slice of any of their homemade pies for dessert are just some of our "go-to's". Great place we love to bring family and friends! Thank you Sandra, Jim, and all the staff :)

Nicest folks. Best fish taco I have eaten. Best cold lobster roll, better than Gloucester, Mass. Fresh seafood, great prices. First experience with Poutine, also quite good.

Friendly, fast service. Food was delicious. Had the battered fish and lobster poutine. Hard cider from Dartmouth hit the spot! Picked up 10 more fillets to go!
