Just happened to be out exploring and we stumbled upon this spot. Very nice

Very beautiful garden located on a hill with lot of Ajisai(hydrangea). Located very close to the Perry road. You can walk to Izukyu Shimoda station from here. There is some monument for Japan US friendship also here but didn’t see a crowd there.

Nice park to walk through during the summer with many view points but would probably be best in the spring when the hydrangeas are in full bloom. There are several bathrooms in this park which comes with free wifi.

This is a nice little park providing views of Shimoda and the surrounding sea. The park can be gradient at times, but has well maintained pathways.

You can enjoy hygrangea flower during the whole June.

Park and sleep with harbour view. Clean toilet. 5min to Perry road. Nice to sleep!

Amazing! This place just like a fairly tale scene!

This place has a eerie atmosphere. The last bus from Shimoda Eki departs at around 5PM, i missed this so had to walk all the way. It is around 2km away from the station. I didn't find even a single soul at this location, don't know why. The park is very quiet, has a few statues in it.

The hydrangea flowers are very beautiful during June. Lots of breathtaking views of you are willing to do a little hiking.

We visited on 2nd July and it was very hot. Parking is convenient. The park is not so big but full of flowers still. It is quiet & some roads are hard to walk. Overall experience was excellent!

Too much spiders on the road I couldn't reach it... :'( (not on sides, in the middle)
