Anyone who has said they don't accept children at this restaurant either have wild and out of control children or are suppliers of Trump esc Fake News. Our 9 month old was fussed over by the very friendly staff no end who played with her for half an hour while we ate and took great interest. The restaurant: lovely cosy establishment, or sit and eat just outside on the beautiful bridge over the river. The food: small but lovely menu. I would prefer my pizza a bit crisper bit it's nice none the less and probably the style they are going for, just personal preference. The crab pasta has a generous amount of pasta and even more generous amount of crab. The service: unfaultable. The chef was even coming out to ensure everyone was enjoying his food. Which they were.... A lovely experience for a very reasonable price.

OMG! This place was amazing! We had 2 adults and 1 5YR old for lunch and all plates were cleaned! You really can’t go wrong with any pizza, perfect espresso and amazing Granada! Also super sweet owners!

I went there for the first time. I ate pizza, pasta and a plate of meat. The food was very tasty. It tastes Italian. The chef and his wife were very nice. I am so happy to see them. Allow me to visit again next year. Thank you for the delicious food

The food is very good and not event expensive. Nice view on the street. The owners were one of the nicest people I’ve ever met! I’ll definitely go again next time I’m in Shimoda

This place was the highlight of our already amazing day in Shimoda! The salami pizza was the best I’ve had in Japan and the mozzarella in the Caprese was fresh and delicious. The crab pasta was a whole experience! And the strawberry gelato was the best possible finale. The owners were kind and friendly. Will 100% come back and highly recommend it!

Loved Page One! Visited a couple of times during our 3 week campervan trip in the fall of 2018. The first time we went in with not too many expectations as Japan is not Italy. We had pizza and pasta. The gorgonzola was smooth, rich and tasty. The pasta al dente. The wine not too fruity. Andrea Bocelli played. Our hosts were the kindest. It is a while ago but I’m sure the love in the place & the food is still authentic and if we visit Shimoda again we for sure visit again!

This restaurant is amazing! We had a crab pasta, very yummy The service is very kind and the lady who served us was very lovely Definitely I wanna come back to try different dishes.

Very good italian restaurant with nice owners. I recommend the 4 cheese pastas with home made pancetta, delicious.

Lovely little gem! Delicious food in a cozy space in a 150 years old building renovated by lovely owners. All of the dishes we tried were very very tasty, but the crab pasta is especially worth recommendations! Must visit in Shimoda!

Cute Italian Cafe on Perry Road. Presentation is beautiful, and the taste matches the looks. When we went, they had a special short spiral pasta with spicy minced beef that was amazing. Owners remembered my family from the last time we visited (1 year ago) - truly a special place!

Great place, the food was amazing!! I’ve lived in Italy and I can say this food was delicious and authentic. The ambience was romantic and cozy. Overall excellent quality, reasonable price and great service, they were the kindest. Is a hidden gem in Japan!!
