Awesome world heritage site to visit. Love this place so much. Note number 1, make sure u book your bus ticket online if you plan a one day trip or if you have Hokuriku Arch Pass you can redeem free bus to shirakawago, but find a less crowded station to start your trip 2. Take a walking tour map at the bus terminal 3. Don’t take poto while a heavy snow, the scenery are not seen 4. Prepare your hot pack during winter Please Note Shirakawago always worth to visit in every season, for the best view you can go in winter and stay a night to see the illumination 😀

I guess this is the best place to take beautiful photos of whole shiragawa village. There is one souvenir shop and a small food stall. You can walk from there to town center.
