Tried a new place for lunch this week. I had Fried Chicken and Mac & Cheese. First off, place was clean getting served through cafeteria style line was pretty quick. The fried chicken was crusted I though fairly well and looked like it would be tasty. However, I found that it had a pretty plain taste with no real noticeable seasoning, so flavor would be just average. I am a big Mac & Cheese fan and the product served appeared to have a cheddar crust to it. Upon taste the product was really bland and had no flavor. I did not care for that and actually did not finish the small serving size bowl. So for me I really didn't care for the product I had. Someone else in my party also had chicken and they felt the same that it basically was a flavorless piece of chicken and was average. Another tried the spaghetti and they said they felt it was pretty good for them. I am undecided if I will try again because for the money which I also thought was a little high I expect a better tasting product.

Food was really good. Baked chicken was moist. Mac n cheese was ok. Greens were good. Cornbread a bit dry, still tasted good. Sweet potatoes needed some nutmeg. I didn't care for the peach cobbler. I'll def go back. Soul food.

Looking for traditional form home cooking? This is your place! Always clean with fast cafeteria style service. Not always the friendliest but they’re generally very busy. Fried Chicken, freshly fried fish, meat loaf always available. Sides tend to stay the same- green beans, mashed potatos, greens, cabbage, Mac and cheeses, corn bread our roll but hey when it works why change it?! Great desserts too! Safe bet you’ll be pleased! Go and enjoy!

Wonderful soul food and great variety. The meals are cafeteria style so you can pick what suits you. Fried chicken was excellent. Good skin and tender, juicy meat. Not a lot of seasoning, but it didn't need it. The macaroni and cheese is phenomenal: creamy, flavorful, perfectly cooked. Worth the visit just for that!!

The atmosphere is great and service is I'm sure the best it can be for the size of the establishment. Their food is good, but could be better. I feel like the same thing that it takes to get you, takes to keep you. My reasoning for frequency their restaurant was their greens were really good and fresh...I hate canned greens...fix that and your food will be 5 stars in my book.l

Awesome! I thoroughly enjoyed Franco's. With so many options I was stuck everything is fresh and the service is amazing. The staff was quite hospitable. The restaurant is spacious and is a historic gem with over 50yrs of delicious dining.

No frills here. Franco's is a cafeteria/diner, come as you are, kind of place. Living in the South most of my life, I have developed an affinity for "soul/southern" cooking and this place hit the spot. Pay attention to the menu as it changes daily. Food was great and everyone was friendly, staff and fellow diners.

The food was so good that we did not have to use any salt and pepper on it. The service was great too! It was interesting seeing the resident chicken as well.

Those women on that restaurant are so nice. They great you. They say goodbye. No attitudes. No bad behavior. Just so polite. They wait patiently while you're placing your order. They have an enormous menu. Meals are always hot and fresh. I can't say enough great things about that restaurant and its employees. I live in Frankfort and drive all the way there for a delicious meal. Really, it's the customer service that keeps me coming back. Well worth the gas money and mileage on my car. Thank you all for being so kind.

Oh my GAWD is all that I can say. Everything was amazing!!!! I'm from Ohio and we have nothing that can compare to this. The chicken is moist and the breading is so crunchy. The sweet potatoes are the best I have ever had.

If you want Home Cooked, Great Tasting food, dished and served with a smile by a Terrific staff, then you need to get to Franco's! Eat in or carry it out. Southern Style done Right! You will not be disappointed! Simply Delicious!

So glad I stumbled upon this place, and glad it was before church across the street was fully let out, because then the line grew! Food is served cafeteria style; everybody was real friendly. Everything I tasted was good (except the collard greens were tooooo salty); portions and prices were fair. Looks like they do a real healthy takeout business also, but I enjoyed the atmosphere of dining in and talking to other customers.

The food was delicious!! However, some of the servers were not friendly, matter of fact they were kinda of rude. It was on a Sunday and it was very, very busy but still when you are dealing with the public you should offer better customer service!!

We had the ribs, macaroni, greens, catfish, succotash, cornbread, lemon merengue pie, grape kool-aid and grape kool-aid with lemonade mix. We got there about 330p before the dinner wave came in. The food was DELICIOUS! The staff was accomodating.

Very beautiful atmosphere, staff was very sweet and patient but the food is just horrible. Honestly, very bland and dry. I gave it 2 tries during two different days and times and the food tasted the same.

I won’t speak much on this one. I love Franco’s. I really loved the other place his brother had Jays. Here at Franco’s the service was amazing. Those ladies were very very nice and accommodating. The man was very nice to.

The food is good but it could be really good and safe to eat if it wasn't so salty! The salt is killing us ( high blood pressure, diabetes and kidney failure, to name a few killers). Seasoning is important, but too much salt is not necessary. The food is good but it's too salty.

Amazing food... the stewed tomatoes are just like granny used to make. A good stick to your ribs soul food restaurant. A must stop every time I'm in town.

Food is always lukewarm. Its beginning not to have any flavor, as well. I order 4 fried wings and these had to be pigeon wings! These were the SMALLEST wings I've ever seen in my life!!! Please di better. I want to support.

They have the best candied yams and peach cobbler I've ever tasted in my life! Not a big fan of the ribs with sauerkraut. My chicken breast was a little dry this time.

Well I wanted to eat here so bad...online says they take call in orders but no delivery, but when I called the lady was so rude said we don't do call in orders you have to cone in CLICK...she then just hung up...I work so hard for my moneyand to eat out is a rare treat for me and my kids I also try my best to support local owned businesses but I SIMPLY REFUSE TO SPEND MY MONEY WHERE EMPLOYEES ARE RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL..if you dislike your job find another, but just imagine how many people have been ran off by the service they recieved..the food can be the best ever but with bad customer service I will simply pass and find the next local owened soul food restaurant that will appreciate my business...

A beautiful place with wonderful people. A staple of our community and a beacon for the black community in particular. My dad is sick with cancer and he only asked for Francos today. It was so heart warming to see the smile on his face when he dug into his meal. Smothered porkchops, yams and cabbage. It's the type of food he used to cook himself way back when. Francos made today a good day! Sundays is a long wait, but worth it!

Food was delicious! Had the Fried Chicken Wings this time with Mac and cheese and Collard Greens. Ate it so fast didn't get to take a picture... great atmosphere

Although im a fan of supporting local businesses this 1 in particular has been around for years.. So maybe this review reflects an overall opinion opposed to the last visit I've had.. Food is seasoned and at a decent temperature, however the portions for the price you pay is unbelievable. Suit Yourself . Me personally my 30$ spent here for 2 plates was below average.

Food was overpriced and the portions were small very disappointing. The Salisbury steak tasted as if it came from a box TV dinner.

This is the best food in the area!!! If you want home cooking this is the closest thing you will find!!!!

I haven't eaten here in a long time food was good, But limited selection may be due to the time we came in.

They tricked me!!!! I just knew I was going to have one of the best soul food meals ever. From the people I talked to and the line that was outside, my hopes were so high. This was truly one of the most terrible experiences my tastebuds have had the misfortune to survive through. People continue to pile in like addicts in the Carter from New Jack City. I can’t understand why. The gravy completely ruined the pork chops. It tasted burnt. The broccoli and cheese had little to no flavor but had plenty of water. The mac and cheese was probably the highlight but Indie’s Mac and cheese is better. The soft drinks were extra soft because there was plenty of sweet and no carbonation. I also tried a piece of strawberry cake, that too was a mistake! Tasted as if I ate the Saran Wrap by itself. The experience is one I wish I didn’t get. Now I’m going to eat some Easter eggs somewhere to get rid of the taste.

This was my first time ever eating there, because i just relocated and the food was excellent and they gave you a lot of food for the money. The place was very clean and the serve was fast. I loved it and would recommend it to anyone.
