The staff was very friendly. Hotel was nearly empty of guests. Breakfast was better than most hotels. Bed was comfortable.. now the rest of the story. Hotel is very dated. Our room was not cleaned nor fresh towels during our stay. I wanted the king suite as I always request, but this time the king suite was certainly not worth the cost I was charged. Nothing special certainly not the cleanest room. We moved over to another hotel for the remainder of our trip.

Stayed here 3 nights while husband was in work meetings. Pros: Very close to restaurants, stores, gas stations. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Price was average. There was a nice long desk in the room, which I loved. There was a nice variety of channels on the TV. Breakfast was just OK. Cons: Needs updating desperately. The king bed had queen linens and comforter. The fitted sheet was replaced for a queen flat sheet that shifted. The bed was SO uncomfortable my back is hurting terribly. That being said, I'm glad we were not forced to sleep on the sofa sleeper. It was worse.

My stay was great. Staff was AMAZING especially Porsha and the kitchen lady that worked everyday of my stay as well as all the other staff. I’ll go back again just because of the customer service I experienced. The room was nice and clean I had a king suite. My only issue was the hot tub. I love to relax in a hot tub and it wasn’t working. The pool was warmer then the hot tub.

My Church Family came from Florida this past weekend 14-16 and I must say that after Riding on a Charter Bus for over 17 hours, this Hampton Inn lived up to my Expectations Completely. Check In was Absolutely Smooth even though they had to deal with a bus load of people at 10 at night. The Rooms were Clean and Neat with All of the Amenities that I needed. The bed slept so good. The Rooms were Spacious with plenty of room to move around in. Breakfast was Awesome every day with plenty of items to choose from. The hotel was completely accessible to many stores and restaurants. Some in walking distance. If I ever come back to Shreveport, I hope that I get a opportunity to stay at this Hampton Inn again. Staff was Wonderful too. 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Once a year on the way to visit family, we stay the night in Shreveport as it's the halfway point. And every year I struggle to find a decent place to stay. This Hampton Inn was a good choice. Everyone there was so friendly. I had read in other reviews that it was in the process of being renovated, so I called to make sure the room we would receive was a new one. The guy who answered was very helpful and courteous. He was even able to offer me a better price than what I would have paid if booked online. And all the renovations are completed, so there were no disturbing construction areas or noises. The hotel was in a great area. It looked like there were enough restaurants and activities close by for anyone staying longer than a night. It seemed safe and the parking lot was well lit. Everything looked really clean and well kept. My only minor complaint was when we got off of the elevator on the 2nd floor, it seemed a little warm. Our room was very clean but had a bit of a musty smell and felt a little humid. For comparison, we're from New Orleans, so I definitely understand the feeling of humidity. At home on a normal day, the ac stays around 74 degrees and 72 degrees to sleep. I had to put the ac in our hotel room on 67 degrees to get the temperature feeling more comfortable, but the humid feeling remained. It was one night, so not anything to warrant a room switch and the beds were clean and comfortable. They had a good selection for complementary breakfast. Eggs, sausage patties, grits, waffles, bagels, muffins, cereal, fruit, yogurt. A very friendly attendant kept everything clean and stocked. The gym was clean and, although small, had a decent selection of machines. And we didn't try it out, but the indoor pool looked nice and clean as well. All things considered, I would stay here again.

The location is great for visiting LSUS. This was our second weekend staying and both times had the same sweet lady at the front desk at Checkin, Tatiana. She was very personable, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The room was very large, breakfast was good with many options, and the entire staff was very friendly.

The Hilton flag has traditionally represented quality , value, and service . I don’t know what has happened . Because we had to book quickly due to death in family, we did not have time to shop for rates. We were surprised at the $200 a night rate , so we assumed this was going to be a top shelf Hilton property. Approaching the Hampton Inn South in Shreveport, our first clue that we were mistaken was that a third of the sign was not lit. The lobby was basically a construction site with the front desk surrounded by bare , patched Sheetrock. I commented that the rate was exorbitant for the condition. The desk clerk was apologetic . The elevator smelled of wet dog and the stainless steel doors were dirty. The let down continued as we went into room and searched for lighting. The comparison that came to mind was interrogation room with harsh task lights illuminating small spots leaving most of the room dark. The wall thermostat didn’t work . Front desk instructed us to use wall unit . Using our phone flashlights we found the panel which was so filthy we used a pen to press dial. The hard surfaces had been smeared but not cleaned and there was encrusted food on desk. Pillows smelled of greasy hair. After two nights, I requested fresh towels and was told we would have to bring all used towels to front desk. This is a poorly managed and substandard hotel whose staff members try valiantly to compensate for the physical conditions. They have good sense of hospitality but it is unfortunately not enough to make this a hotel we would patronize in the future. Time for Hilton to reclaim its reputation.

Yes, this location is being renovated. However, they seem to be managing well. Our room was comfortable & quiet. The free breakfast was perfect & they are using their meeting room for dining. The food & coffee were fresh & the food area & makeshift dining room were clean & well kept. Only con was the parking. Limited because of construction materials & vehicles/equipment. But to be expected.

We have stayed here on multiple occasions. The rooms are nice and clean. They also have a nice breakfast with eggs and meat. It is right next the Christus Highland Hospital and Tinseltown Movie Theatre. They are many food options nearby.

Remodel in progress, looks to be nearing the end. I stayed in room 416 after it was remodeled, and it was perfect. Clean and very comfortable. Price is kind of high right now, but would definitely stay again. I will be back.

I made an reservation through go Hilton booked with my employee rate at 1:25pm checked in a bit early through the Hilton app , got assigned a room and had a digital key made . at 9:59pm as i was arriving i get a new conformation email with a nee booking . I called the hotel they said the room they assigned was dirty . and they now didn't have enough rooms for me to get another . I call the other hotel and they said they transferred all my information to them and made a new booking for me because there were over booked . they didn’t car to contact me regarding if it was a good location or if i even wanted to go ahead and book another room at a different hotel . this is very frustrating and unacceptable. and as a Employe of Hilton this is sad . Why assign me a dirty room then tell me y'all are over booked . i booked and checked in and got assigned a room at 1something why wait till 10 ! i am highly upset and will not book here again . as a diamond member/ emplumado you would think at the least you’ll get communication .

I stayed here while a family member was in the hospital. The location allowed for easy and quick access to the hospital, which was a priority because of my family member's needs. Although there were a few issues with the room, the staff was highly responsive, even switching me to another room when they weren't able to take care of an issue same day. I was especially grateful for Martha, who worked the breakfast service and always greeted me with a smile and warm welcome!

Stayed here while working out of town. Very nice. Hotel rooms are very large and spacious. Everything seemed very clean. Hotel has a very sleek modern look. Minimalistic decor which I like. Also has a free hot breakfast which is becoming a rarity in the hotel industry. These days. Staff was very friendly. I wish the TV's in the rooms were a bit larger for me. Seemed a little bit small what I was sitting on the couch. However, everything was great with our stay. No complaints. Hotel is also conveniently located to several things in town such as restaurants and etc

The hotel was very clean and inviting. The employee was so nice and well mannered. I didn't have any issues when checking in. The room was clean, neat, and spacious. Even had 2 bottles of water. The bed was comfortable, and I had 4 pillows! The parking lot was big, not very busy. Everything was great. The location was in the perfect spot, close to several restaurants as well as shopping options.

Our youngest son was getting married Dec 2022 so I began to call/compare in late October several of the suggested local Hotels that were provided on a list for us + other relatives to stay at. Thai was 1st Hotel on the list so I began w them. I looked online @ $ which I was ok w $ and was writing down all RMS needed etc, we needed several RMS all was fine until I needed to try to BK (2) Lgr RMS - Website kept messing up, then was telling me they had no Lgr RMS- so I ended up calling to try to get info I needed & explain we were coming in for special event- Wedding & see abt special rates if possible etc, the 1st REP a young man, JAYDEN BOOZER was very pleasant & nice but certain things he couldn’t answer for me & requested I call the next night speak to Mgr & I thanked him & said OK. Prior to calling next night, I cked online $ again, they’d gone down a few $— still when I tried Lgr RMS Website was acting up still not working- so I called Hotel again to get a REP by the name I only know as “ZO” - I again, tried explaining why we were coming- Wedding, tried asking abt special rates etc & explain Website wasn’t working properly when she began cutting me off, was rude, quoted diff $ than online when I tried asking what was going on abt $ she became even more rude, cutting me off still, would only repeat herself saying do you want me to BK RMS or NOT? Over & Over! I kept calm, asked for Mgr to which she gave me same excuse Mgr was supposed to be in a “Training Class” so I left my name & # asked I be called back immediately! I asked what Mgr’s name was, was told Amanda Johnson. I NEVER HEARD FROM MGR bc either “ZO” really didn’t take msg to pass to her or Mgr could care less as to how some of her employees speak & treat potential out of town guests looking for a suitable place to stay! UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE OR LACK THERE OF AT THIS HOTEL! Only employee that had any manners, personable or even knowledgeable was the young man, JAYDEN BOOZER! The REST, INCLUDING MGR NEEDS MORE TRAINING OBVIOUSLY AND FOR REP. “ZO” simply just needs to be fired in my opinion. She has no business dealing with the general public. I don’t plan to have any further business in Shreveport, LA anytime soon but I certainly wouldn’t suggest this hotel.

After traveling 4 hours. I had to clean the entire bathroom and refrigerator. The bathroom has hair ALL over it. The refrigerator was disgusting. It was outdated. The let out bed looked as if it was picked up from by a dumpster. After all that, they offered a refund. I’m a member and prepaid so the disqualified the refund. I received points. We don’t travel often at ALL. Oh top it all off this happens on Christmas weekend.

The property itself is well kept but the rooms need some work, The lobby was decent. In the room-light fixtures were falling off the wall, closet door was broken, chipped furniture, and furniture with stains. All the Hilton properties I’ve stayed in recently provided sanitizer wipes in the room-this one had none. The remote had a sticky substance on it. Everything was dusty & the air didn’t blow cold. I wanted to be happy with this hotel since it’s in a good location but I don’t think I’ll go back unless there is some work done.

Not clean and super minimal gym amenities. It's unfortunate that I may have to stay here again in the future. Luckily there is another hotel near undergoing renovations that I may option for in the future.

Higher price by $50 compaired to other Hampton due to location. Good rooms and great service. Not sure if the $50 extra is justified but a very nice hotel.

This hotel needs major updates. Terrible. I did not stay here for my whole stay. There was no way I was going to take a shower in that filthy shower. I will say the gentleman that worked behind the counter was very friendly. Only reason for a 2 star was the employee. The rest is horrible.

The lobby was clean and friendly staff when I checked in but when I came back from an event, there were two dead roaches laying in the first floor hallway. When I got up to my room, it smelled like cologne and musty. There was a sticky substance on the cabinet handle to open the refrigerator. Carpet needed deep cleaning. The tv in my room did not work! Awful 😞! The front desk staff told me to unplug it and plug it back in..they offered to come try it too. I felt that was something that should’ve been checked prior to a guest checking in. Behind the tv, where the outlets were, was filthy and dusty. I only stayed the one night and found another hotel for the remainder of my stay.

The stars are for the friendliness of the morning and evening staff. Every time we passed through the lobby, they spoke and made the ambiance of the hotel much friendlier. DO NOT CHECK IN AFTER 11pm. We made it to the hotel a little before 2am and we were in for a rude awakening. The room we were given was not cleaned. My partner went down to the desk to see if any other rooms were available but because they were not, we had to suffer through the night. The attached photos represents the "cleanliness" of the room. To make matters worse, it was an ADA room, so imagine people with disabilities who would've had to check into a room that seemed to be straightened and not cleaned. I've stayed in dated hotels before but that does not mean the cleanliness should be a lackluster because the hotel rooms are outdated.

Extremely poor experience HI Shreveport! Initial room smelled of urine and visible debris on carpet. Reported to front desk and upgraded to another room. No odor in this room but again, carpet had visible debris in multiple areas. After opening the bathroom door, the top lid of the toilet was yellow stained with a design matching the bottom lid. Didn't know if it was urine or from some type of high-heat treatment in the room for pests or something discoloring the plastic coming off the surface of the water. Regardless, it was absolutely impossible for the cleaning crew or maintenance to not see and proactively correct. Pieces of furniture were torn, dirty and really in poor condition. White comforter had multiple stains and everyplace you looked such as corners in the bathroom or sliding track of closet had disgusting buildup which only added to the room feeling dirty and not sanitized. What's going on Hampton Inn??

We have periodically stayed in this Hampton since it opened. Initially, it was a great location - clean rooms, professional, helpful staff, god location. But our last two stays have been less than ideal. I chalked up the first suboptimal stay to the pandemic, but our most recent stay was really not up to par. When we got to the room, there was no toilet paper and and no cups in the bar. The duvet cover had a large area that was no longer stitched and would not stay in place. The bedside lamp had no finial to hold the shade in place. The ottoman was very worn and unsightly. In general, the room had been allowed to fall into disrepair. Though I have stayed here on my visits for years, I may decide to change my hotel in Shreveport.

Quick easy online check in with digital key so I did not have to speak to anyone at the hotel. The room was clean and nice. Will be staying at this location again

Hotel rooms were nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in. The breakfast was hot and fresh with additional continental breakfast items to select from as well. The staff was very friendly at check out as well.

  • 2/5 Zoe V. 2 years ago on Google
The hotel badly needed deep cleaning- there was grime everywhere and the floors had a sticky quality. The beds were very uncomfortable. They did not communicate at check in that the housekeeping policy was modified due to covid and staffing. That being said, I had two issues I brought to the front desk and the staff quickly offered solutions and were very pleasant/accommodating.
