Once
a
year
on
the
way
to
visit
family,
we
stay
the
night
in
Shreveport
as
it's
the
halfway
point.
And
every
year
I
struggle
to
find
a
decent
place
to
stay.
This
Hampton
Inn
was
a
good
choice.
Everyone
there
was
so
friendly.
I
had
read
in
other
reviews
that
it
was
in
the
process
of
being
renovated,
so
I
called
to
make
sure
the
room
we
would
receive
was
a
new
one.
The
guy
who
answered
was
very
helpful
and
courteous.
He
was
even
able
to
offer
me
a
better
price
than
what
I
would
have
paid
if
booked
online.
And
all
the
renovations
are
completed,
so
there
were
no
disturbing
construction
areas
or
noises.
The
hotel
was
in
a
great
area.
It
looked
like
there
were
enough
restaurants
and
activities
close
by
for
anyone
staying
longer
than
a
night.
It
seemed
safe
and
the
parking
lot
was
well
lit.
Everything
looked
really
clean
and
well
kept.
My
only
minor
complaint
was
when
we
got
off
of
the
elevator
on
the
2nd
floor,
it
seemed
a
little
warm.
Our
room
was
very
clean
but
had
a
bit
of
a
musty
smell
and
felt
a
little
humid.
For
comparison,
we're
from
New
Orleans,
so
I
definitely
understand
the
feeling
of
humidity.
At
home
on
a
normal
day,
the
ac
stays
around
74
degrees
and
72
degrees
to
sleep.
I
had
to
put
the
ac
in
our
hotel
room
on
67
degrees
to
get
the
temperature
feeling
more
comfortable,
but
the
humid
feeling
remained.
It
was
one
night,
so
not
anything
to
warrant
a
room
switch
and
the
beds
were
clean
and
comfortable.
They
had
a
good
selection
for
complementary
breakfast.
Eggs,
sausage
patties,
grits,
waffles,
bagels,
muffins,
cereal,
fruit,
yogurt.
A
very
friendly
attendant
kept
everything
clean
and
stocked.
The
gym
was
clean
and,
although
small,
had
a
decent
selection
of
machines.
And
we
didn't
try
it
out,
but
the
indoor
pool
looked
nice
and
clean
as
well.
All
things
considered,
I
would
stay
here
again.
