This is just one of the many amazing architectural structures of SI Satchanalai. From a distance, the statues at the base appear to be lions. Upon entering the temple grounds you can see they are actually elephants whose trunks have disappeared over time. The statues are in various states of ruin which makes for an interesting view of the actual construction techniques used to create them. Be sure to climb the steps up to the second level for a spectacular view of the surrounding temples.

Wonderful to be here. Not many people which make our trip looked like private. It was a beautiful weather day for bicycle to enjoy this world heritage. The surrounding are very clean and the architecture of this 700 years old temple was worth for this trip

Architecturally this stupa is very grand with huge bell shaped dome on a cascading square shaped pedestal hosting several buddha's on the four directions.Below the pedestal at the base are the ruins of elephant guardians which is perfect for photography. The ruins of prayer hall and the green grass inside the temple makes it must visit place inside the historic park.

Well reserved historical park. You need to rent a bike or a tram (if you do not want to bike). I rented a tram which cost me 300 Baht. The driver is a tour guide. He gave a lot of info about this place. Such a lovely trip!

Lovely quiet temple and historic grounds. Don't travel hundreds of miles just for this but the sisatchanalai historic and heritage parks are also very nearby plus the Sukhothai heritage aand also historical park not too far away.

Historical site with many temples. Definitely worth a visit from sukhothai. This is about an hour away and would be a good half day trip. Avoid this place in summer as it gets very very hot.
