A
very
welcome
pitstop
on
your
way
across
Europe.
It's
just
a
minute
or
two
off
the
main
highway,
and
if
you
plan
a
trip
to
Bavaria,
this
is
a
nice
starting
point
for
your
daily
explorations:
Chiemsee
is
just
around
the
corner,
Berchtesgaden
is
not
far
away,
the
Neuschwanstein
and
other
castles
are
also
close.
Also,
Salzburg
is
very
near.
I
suggest
you
don't
bother
camping,
just
hire
the
wooden
hut
or
a
room
in
the
house.
Locals
sometimes
don't
get
it,
one
local
drunk
was
trying
to
provoke
by
yapping
something
about
foreigners,
but
I
politely
let
him
know
that
I'm
the
one
that
brings
money
to
his
country
as
a
tourist
and
he's
barking
up
the
wrong
tree.
So
he
politely
backed
off,
we
had
nice
beer
from
the
local
brewery
and
everything
ended
up
lovely.
Prices
are
surprisingly
low,
2-3
times
cheaper
than
Salzburg.
