Ms Valentina was such a lovely host who quickly turned out unpleasant welcome to a heart warming one. My partner and I just went to buy wines while wanting to drink a glass. She took such immense care of us and explained us the details of their bottles. I am quite happy with their no sulphites label and got a couple back home. We did not do the tour but seemed like couple of guys enjoyed it. The prices are very nominal for bottles of wine and they even let us take time to walk around the vineyards and their church. Family owned vineyard of good standards.

Definitely recommend visiting! Very nice people work there! The tour is not long, because it is a relatively small vinery, but it is also what makes it more special! Especially if you come not on a peak of tourist season, you can even end up being given a private tour and enjoy tasting alone! Also one of the best red vines we’ve tasted in Tuscany (and we’ve tasted a lot) for very reasonable prices. Worth the money! The only thing is: it’s complicated to get there by public transport, the taxi might be too expensive, but it’s a short drive by car.

Really good, not just wine tasting, but they showed us around the vines, the distilling process and the ageing casks. Then the food and wine was absolutely fantastic. Really recommend picking this one over the shorter experiences.

All round fantastic experience of the wine tour and wine tasting. Starts at 11am, and lasts about 2.5/3 hours, includes a detailed explanation of the winery's history and the wine making process. During the tasting, we experienced four wines, and we ended up buying a case of the reds and some of the white too, to be shipped to our house! Nice refreshing dessert wine too. Their olive oil was delicious as well. The light lunch of charcuteries is exceptional – simple, delicious, local products. We'd absolutely recommend this experience. PS - with global warming, July has become scorching hot in Italy, so you may wan to carry suncreen, hat or even an umbrella for the tour. Thank you Alberto and Valentina for hosting us! We had a lovely time at your winery.

Such a lovely little winery up the road from Siena. We chose this one instead of one of the larger ones because the family owned vineyards have always been our favorite. We booked a tour and tasting, which began at 11. Alberto, one of the sons, greeted us on the road as you pull up to the winery which I thought was a really nice touch. Alberto walked us down to the chapel, which has an amazing history to it which I won’t spoil. He answered all our questions about grapes and olives, and explained and showed us how the soil differed where we were compared to just up the road, and why the wines were different because of this. He showed us the steps on how they make the wine, from the first machine to the bottler. Then the tasting. 8 wines, pick 4, so it was perfect for two because we tried them all. Also, the food they serve with the tastings is AMAZING. Bruschetta, meats, cheeses. All of it was so local and so fresh, and having that while Alberto tells you about the wines and you are overlooking the vineyard was surreal. It was the perfect afternoon, and 40 euro a person which is such a steal. They also flat rate ship wine all over the world. I would recommended to anyone that this winery is the perfect, small, local place to visit, and a must do in my list.

Had a wonderful wine tasting experience at San Giorgio a Lapi! The wines (and food) were very flavoursome and tasty, the view magnificent, and Benedict was a very welcoming and informative host. We were also not pressured at all to buy anything and had a relaxing time. We'll be back! 100% recommend visiting this winery!

Our tour and wine tasting San Giorgio a Lapi was above and beyond what we expected! Alberto gave us such a thoughtful tour of the property explaining the history, how the grapes grow, the making/bottling of the wine and of course the tasting of their wonderful wine! We booked it all somewhat last minute and it was definitely a highlight of our trip!

Incredible experience at San Giorgio a Lapi! The wine tasting was fantastic overlooking a picturesque seen of Tuscany with an 11th century chapel behind olive trees and rows of vines. The wine was delicious, we particularly liked the Chianti Reserve and the house Ermeti, which is partially made with grapes brought to the region by the owner’s grandfather. Perfect!!!

I had a really great time at this winery! Ive not just enjoyed the informative tour, I was able to fully feel the atmosphere of toscana. The guide contributed to this unforgettable experience with his kind, catching way of guiding. Adding to that the wine definitely tasted so much better than the wine I’ve tried before. I strongly recommend going there!!!! Many thanks

Visited in Sept 2021. Took a bus from Siena, walked about a mile to the winery and they allowed me to wait till the tour began. Valentina was most accommodating during the wait. Alberto was our guide and an excellent host as outlined in the other reviews. Wine and chow after were excellent! Walked a mile back to the main road, downhill this time (not so steep, I was 68 then) to catch the bus back to Siena. Even ran into Alberto and friend during my dinner that evening. It's a small world 🌍 and this family winery makes it worth living in! - Paul

This is a great family fun vineyard who is both modern while keeping the traditional values of wine making. Our tasting was excellent by a passionate sommelier named Alberto who runs the vineyard with his family. Location is superb, a great place to watch the sun go down in beautiful Siena. Highly recommend doing the third red course tasting to understand the wines of the region as well as their brand new experimental wine without sulphites. Thanks again Alberto, we had a wonderful afternoon in your family sanctuary :)

Amazing. Perfect tour, great guide and lovely wines. We bought a bottle to bring home. The tapas was nice as well. We absolutely loved it! I would say it’s price worthy for sure - you get the tour, wines and tapas include in the price. Thank you to our great guide Maja!

The best winey experience ever. We fly all over the world and we always aim to go for wine tasting. This winery has an amazing wine but most important is the amazing staff. Waw waw waw I cannot recommend it enough We arrived without booking but they were super helpful and understanding and gave us a table that was available then. Maya is nothing but amazing. Whatever I write here is nothing until you come and experience their service and wines.

We had the most delightful experience at the San Giorgio A Lapi winery! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a stunning vineyard backdrop. Maya is amazing!! She took us on a fascinating journey through the winemaking process, sharing insights and stories that deepened our appreciation for the craft. The tasting session was a true highlight. Each sip was perfectly paired with delicious food. The winery’s selection of wines was exquisite, showcasing its commitment to excellence. Thank you Maya and team for an unforgettable day!
