We had an amazing time here! Came for our honeymoon! The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, the restaurant and the wine list were fantastic, and the room was amazing! Great location and worth every dollar. We will return here every chance we get!

A charming retreat on the outskirts of Siena (but still close enough for easy access to the centre). I’d highly recommend this place; from the outset we were received by friendly and outgoing staff who just want to help. An eclectic mix of individuals working there, who added to the charm. Enjoyable evenings were spent having dinner at their fine-dining restaurant overlooking the courtyard of the former monastery. With plenty of choice and good quality food. The grounds and pool were amazing (lots of places to relax - both indoor and outdoor) and a shout out to Michelle and Andrea who provided a great itinerary for us to explore the Tuscan hills, and all the staff who were always ready with recommendations for places to eat. The hotel is a relaxing, spacious and beautifully presented place - much of the rustic charm of the former 14th century monastery has been retained, yet provides every modern comfort.

Great stay near Siena! The staff is very kind and helpful and the rooms are huge, warm, and welcoming. Breakfast buffet is delicious and the dinner is hearty. Would highly recommend!

WOW WOW WOW 🤩 where to begin! This place is utterly breathtaking- a dialogue between history, design, luxury and style. The pool and gardens are simply stunning whilst the attention to detail in lighting and scent is exquisite. Candlelit staircases and tasteful jazz echoing through the courtyard. The cocktails were unique and the menu is experimental with great vegetarian options. Staff were so friendly and the whole place is so close the central Siena for all its culture and sightseeing. Bravo 👏

The best experience! The accomodation was so lovely and relaxing and the staff were amazing. Great location close to Siena, so there is lots to do. Our car wouldn’t start after we checked out, and the staff were so amazing at helping us sort it out by spending considerable amount of time on hold to the car hire office, roadside assist etc, and in the end they personally sourced a battery for us which saved the day. Would 100% recommend to anyone thinking of visiting Tuscany and can’t wait to to back!

Lovely hotel outside of Siena in a converted monastery. Old world charm. It's better in summer, but cozy in winter. We loved it and would stay again and again. The restaurant was disappointing. Had the tasting menu. Would nit go back.

Impeccable is the word I would use to describe our stay here. Every detail has been considered and every need met. Our room was beautiful as were the grounds and common areas. it was so lovely to sit by the old magnolia tree, listen to the bells chime at 7pm, inviting us in for an exceptional dinner. Highly recommend this place to anyone considering a stay in Siena. It’s about a 30 minute walk into the city or a short cab ride. I hope one day to return to this hotel - it exceeded all our expectations.

This beautifully restored convent is a very hip and comfortable hotel. The bed was comfortable, the room was lovely. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast daily was delicious with fresh baked goods, local preserves and great coffee. Dinner was delicious and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!

WOW!!! We loved the place! Beautiful and convenient location, great architecture and style . It is a great historical building worth it to visit and stay! All staff was extremely helpful and kind! We made the booking by phone and Alessia from reception was very professional and prompt to help us confirm the nicest room immediately. Congratulations to the manager for running this great property. We loved breakfast and breakfast area, too. We definitely want to come back on our next trip !

We planned to stay only one night but ended up staying two. It is a fantastic estate with wonderful staff and great breakfast. Our little baby boy felt greatly welcome and wants to return next year.

this place is a must if you’re in the area! from the incredible architecture, attention to detail around every corner with the decor, to the impeccable service — hands down my favorite place we stayed during a two week jaunt around italy. the food & drinks were top notch too. if you’re looking for a place off the beaten path overflowing with charm, this is the place for you!

This hotel is beautiful. From the moment you walk in, it is clear a lot of effort has been paid to the attention to detail. It has a beautiful vintage meets rustic aesthetic (with carefully placed decorations & ornaments/mood lighting/plants/perfumed scents/jazz & classical music), the breakfast and dinner was perfect with a variety of choices and the courtyard and pool areas were beautifully presented and well-maintained. Extra credit must go to all staff members, they were all wonderful and went the extra mile to accommodate our family throughout the entirety of our stay. We had a newborn baby with us but felt everyone was very understanding and very welcoming. Despite being at relatively close proximity to Siena, there was no disruption from noise/air pollution. This place is magical and we highly look forward to returning again in the future. We have already started recommending a stay to our friends & family! (:

Anywhere where I can make a review I am doing it, this place is a dream and I am still kind of in awe of my experience at Certosa di Maggiano even after 2 weeks. Rooms 5* Atmosphere 5* Food 5* Staff 5* Interiors 5* Exteriors 5* Grounds 5* Its hard to pin point what I love the most but I think it was the small touches, like when the sun goes down, they light all the candles. There is always delicate incense burning, there is a jazz band playing smooth jazz at night. The staff move calmly which creates a soft and relaxing space to read a book and drink way too much wine. The interiors are literally breathtaking. Honestly, worth every penny, this is without a doubt the best and most beautiful place I have ever stayed. I love. Also big shout out to Michelle at the front desk/concierge for being just the most wonderful human! Also the amazing guy behind the bar, total hero. Oh and the free little bottle of olive oil made onsite from their olive groves was such a nice touch.

There is no doubt that this is the best stay my wife and I have ever had. Not only was the location a quick drive to Siena for small trips and dinners, but the hotel was magnificent for slow mornings of relaxation. To be honest, though there is much to say about the amenities and location, but this stay was made COMPLETELY by the incredible and familial staff. To my wife and I the staff became our friends that we were so excited to see every day and so sad to leave after our stay. We even go as far to say that we were “homesick” to leave Certosa to go to Florence. Thank you to all of our friends, we already miss you.

Pulling up it looks simple. A walk through a small courtyard to the front desk and you feel wrapped in a hug. This is a magical place full of amazing eats, drinks and much laughter. The staff is gentle, helpful and make you feel as if you are the only guests. The eclectic mix within each room feels like home. The bedrooms are comfortable, the towels fluffy and big. The knowledge of the area, of the local wine and everything Tuscany is perfection. We will return without question. Thank you to each of you for making our stay pure magic.

The staff here are incredible kind and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay in an amazing room. The onsite restaurant was delicious and bar was such a treat that we didn't need to go anywhere. The grounds give plenty of space to explore and the pool was a hit with our kids.

Beautiful view and feeling of being in the countryside yet with enough comfort amenities. Lovely garden for reading/ writing/ drinking.

A fantastic experience. From the property to the staff, I think it would hard for Certosa di Maggiano to improve. We came to Italy for our honeymoon and spent the first three days relaxing and enjoying the property. With the location so close to Siena, that made a wonderful day trip. My wife and I had excellent massages from Micaela as well. I would highly recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed!!

We were in Tuscany in April, and this may be the shining star of our trip. Such a charming place and the people running it (at all levels) just felt like hosts, warm, welcoming, and ever so accommodating. From the room, the common areas, the food, the location - we just couldn't ask for anything more. After driving around the country side of mesmerizing Tuscany, coming home to this place maintained the trance

Loved every moment of our stay! The grounds were amazingly beautiful... the staff was incredibly warm, catered to our every need and made us feel as though they were welcoming friends into their home. This was the best of all the hotel stays in Italy. We will return to Certosa di Maggiano on our next trip to Tuscany.

We did many wonderful things during our vacation in Italy, but our 2 night stay at Certosa di Maggiano was the best part. Words can't describe how lovely and tranquil the grounds are - it was the prettiest place we've ever been. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the food is spectacular, and the employees are so welcoming and accommodating (shout out to the front desk manager and Leon!) Everyone goes above and beyond to ensure you're taken care of. I wish we were there longer and hope to return in the future.

We loved everything about this hotel. It was beautiful, spotlessly clean, delicious breakfast and lunch at the restaurant and just the best service. The hotel itself and the grounds are breathtaking and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming/friendly/helpful - helping us find restaurants/places to cycle to/drying our soaked shoes! We could have stayed forever and want to go back immediately.
