I have eaten a lot of restaurants in my life in different countries. I ate in bad, good and very good restaurants. Moreover, I spend a lot of money each month to enjoy great meal at home in family or with best friends. Sure, I know a little bit Italia and its "Gastronomie" and what I can say is that the Bar Cafetteria 4 Cantoni was our worst experience in an italian restaurant. I ordered penne pomodoro with basil, but when the meal arrived I was unable to find the any basil... and the meal was how to say... worst than a "Pasta Box"... My wife and my son took the lasagne (bad quality and low quantity)... wo... I let you have a look on the picture of the Lasagne plate... it was very bad and it was very very salted. Concerning the pizza of my daughter, it looked like the pizza you pay 2 euros in a supermarket... What a bad experience in a such great country ! I'm very sorry to write this kind of things but I also wrote a lot of goods comments since I began as a local guide in Google and for instance last commments I wrote was for restaurants in Roma to say it was good and... very good. I gave 2 stars and even it is well paid, I don't want to be too tough and I want just to say : come on, Avanti, we are in Italia !!!

Overpriced with indifferent waiters. 9 Euro’s for an Aperol Spritz in a smaller size than normal.

A shame for Siena, We did order our drinks and food at the same time like in any other restaurant. After 3 minutes they came with our 2 lasagna’s heated in the microwave. We didn’t get our drinks and we still didn’t get forks or knifes. The lasagna’s were the worst I ate in my whole life. You better buy them at the supermarket and heat them yourself, it will taste better. After we consumed the food the drinks were not arrived so we askes the bill and we only payed the food but they where not happy at all we asked the bill. Their excuse was that the food and drinks work seperatly. I don’t know about you guys but i’ve never known a restaurant where the chef makes your drinks… NOT RECOMMENDED ALL!!!!

Accidentally ate here as I misread my location. Pretty sure the pizza was a frozen one they heated up. The salad was lacking freshness. Run past this place.

Food was horrible!!! Service was even worse. I asked for my cold food to be heated and the waitress told me that I had already finished my lasagna. Pictures enclosed of before and after! Literally the food seemed that it was frozen food. My daughter had the ravioli also was cold! Stay away from this place!! If I could give it a flat zero I would!!!!! I was charged for 2 extra waters that we did not order, the cashier insisted that I pay for them! I refused, with the language barrier. The cashier got upset, she called the waitress that had originally taken my order at some point she realized that I was right, but what a hassle they gave me.

Unfortunately, that place has got in our way. The atmosphere is like in a cheap eatery. Too much noise from the bar. About the food I don’t know what to say. We took some deserts and tiramisu. All of it we didn’t finish because we couldn’t eat it. It’s a trash. About coffee: we took coffee with cream. Mine was dropped by the waiter and that I was waiting the new one about 10 minutes (I guess it’s too long). And it was not really good too. Even the beans. Sorry, but for me that place is the worst in all Italy.

18 euros for a coffee, tea and biscuit. Should have checked before we sat down because it’s a popular review. Sadly walked into a big tourist trip. At least we rested our feet.

Horrible service - rude staff, and unclear whether we were ordering correctly. Waitress actually tutted at us at one point and ignored us the rest of the time. Food and coffee were ok, not worth the money though.

Beautiful restaurant, dreadful food Lasagne: sauce Pasta, sauce pasta etc. end a little bit of mince on top. Pre made and microwaved. Pizza: From the frozen department in the local supermarket Risotto with Porcini… not Porcini but ordinary mushrooms. Very bland and boring. Such a gorgeous place and what a shame they don’t have any pride in their food

This sweet something I ate was awful. Dry and oily with disgustingly sweet creamy filling. Two very small cookies - 3 Euro! It's been a long time since I ate something soooo bad. Not recommend at all!

We ended up having a coffee, a cannolo (myself) and a sandwich (my partner) in June 2023 as part of visiting Sienna, as we were staying upstairs in the Palazzo Borghesi. The coffee was rather average, and the food also. It wasn’t terrible, but average. We were expecting more from an Italian cafe. It is also filled with tourists more than I expected. Also, the bathroom for the ladies wasn’t working, had to use the men’s..

The staff straight up ignored us for a few minutes before we could order anything. The food we had did not taste good. I saw someone’s pizza on their table, and I could bet this was a frozen pizza from the supermarket. I don’t have a lot of positive to say about this place honestly. I suggest you somewhere else

I don’t know why they have bad points here, prices are okay, much better than many other places, they are kind, coffee and deserts were quite good.

For us it was a good place to get out of the rain, eat cookies with a good espresso.

Excellent Breakfast, super service, nice location. Hard to understand the nasty reviews. We liked the place a lot and will come back.

Unfriendly service. We paid 15€ for two cappucchini and 4 cannoli. That's way too much.

Great service and good coffee. The prices were very reasonable, and the choise broad.

Just stopped by this place to try Panforte di Siena and an espresso. It’s a fairly simple, yet delightful desert. The cashier/waitress was very helpful. However, it would be nice if the prices were labelled. It was kind of pricey. I paid €10 for an espresso and a slice of panforte.

Visited here on a day trip to Sienna and took great pleasure exploring their great range of tasty, home made, small artisan pastries. This place is very friendly and offers a welcome sit down break from exploring the town with a clean and air conditioned inside .
