Pros - Quiet. Beautiful vistas. Excellent campground hosts. Dispersed rv sites are great. Clean restrooms with hot showers. The campground is kept very clearn. Nice shelters for picnic tables. Sandhill cranes are passing through this time of the year. Walking down from Three Sisters one can see hundreds of Canada geese and Sandhlls. Trail that extends from here south for many miles for good walking, running, biking. Cons?

Absolutely beautiful, quiet, epic scenery. Perfect for tent or RV camping. Excellent private picnic tables and shelter per site, electric and water (30amp), clean camp toilets and large, clean restrooms and showers. Safe, plenty of hiking or horseback riding trails around the lake and butte. Fairly large sites with plenty of foliage and privacy room between each. Short drive to T or C. A well maintained and beautiful state park for New Mexico. Loved the stay here and will likely return. Very reasonably priced nightly rates for private campsites with partial hookups, large covered picnic table, and fire/grill pit per site. Highly recommend, if traveling through NM, or wanting a great spot to camp with day trips into Truth or Consequences, or into Hatch and Hatch Village nearby (45min or less drive time from the state park to Hatch, 15min to Elephant Butte, 20min to T or C). Just the drive through the park itself has spectacular views overlooking the lake, with snow-capped mountains on your horizons.

Overall, it was a great weekend gateaway! The campground is very spacious, clean, well maintained, peaceful, close to the water, available hook-ups for electric and water, and free dump station. Campfire and charcoal cooking allowed. The nearest gas station and convenience store are about 15 minutes away. Kiosk and bench outside the rv site were impeccable!

The campsites ste great. Great views of the lake. I stayed in Rock canyon which was great because have an overland truck. The showers are cold. πŸ₯Ά And the showers in rock canyon had sulfur in the water. Boy did they stink.

This campground sits high on a bluff overlooking Elephant Butte Lake. There is a boat ramp near the campground. It is a bleak landscape of scrub, but very much alive with quale, rabbits, lizards, and birds. Each site has a picnic table and shade shelter over it. Dogs are allowed (on a leash at all times) There is a dump station for RV wastewater at the entrance to the campground.

I love this campground. The facilities are immaculate and the sites are not crammed up on top of each other. Also, its some way from the weekend warriors that make a lot of noise and trash up the lake! Summertime their could be a lot of flies, but other than that it’s a 10 of 10 campground. Water and power are great, excellent cell reception and dump station on site!

Didn't stay, it's a popular spot. There are Primitive spots a little beyond here and I prefer that option. Better wildlife and sunset viewing. Great little shower house here, an RV dump, a day use spot with shelter and table for picnics. I'll be back so keep it sweet!

We've been camping here a number of times, and it's one of our favorites. Only drawback is lack of shade in hot weather. Well maintained walking trail provides good exercise for us and the dogs.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Very nice place. We're from Pennsylvania. Be mindful this is rattlesnake country. I'm very cautious but my son and wife not so much. We're heading to the stream back to check things out. I'm twenty feet from them and I calmly say there's a rattlesnake just as their stepping over it lol they though...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ My wife and I are staying in the area for several months. The monthly rate at Cedar Cove is good. The park is clean and well kept with spacious sites. There are a few price points available with options for basic sites, or sites with covered patios, or even storage sheds. Our motor home is 36', a...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ After checking the camp ground out about a month ago, I reserved a spot for two nights! Firstly- this place is so freaking beautiful!! The camp hosts are wonderful people and keep the camp ground well maintained and clean ( despite some β€œKaren” campers that left trash and all kinds of stuff in there...
