My siblings and I were on the bus, talking about where to go to have Indian food. Serendipitously sitting next to us was a friendly Indian man who suggested that we eat at the Apollo. He raved about it. He even walked us to the restaurant. At first sight, it seemed too shiny. We were looking for some hole in the wall restaurant but we somehow trusted his opinion so we sat down at the table and started ordering. We had the fish cutlets, chicken curry, Mysore mutton, fish curry, and several other dishes. They were all fabulous. Probably the best tasting Indian food I've had in Singapore in a long while. Food was somewhat pricey but the quality of deliciousness justified it The stand-out were the fish cutlets. They came out crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Unlike other restaurants that have them ready made. These came freshly made. For that matter all of the dishes came out freshly prepared. The service was friendly and attentive but not annoyingly so. Just as my new friend. I would recommend this place.

It's been some time since last visited Banana Leaf Apollo. There has been renovations at this outlet entrance with a beautiful cafe concept setup serving drinks and dessert. Inside the restaurant, no changes. Had the Chicken Briyani set, noticed there is a slight change in taste in the Briyani, maybe due to change in recipe. But overall food tastes good. There was a promotion for Beer bucket of 5 ranging from $15-18.

Delicious Indian and South Indian food served on a banana leaf (they are faithful to the name of the restaurant!). Excellent attentive service and included complimentary pappadams. Well worth a look.

Great South Indian restaurant. Food was served on a banana leaf as per south Indian tradition. Food was great, loved most of the dishes especially their chicken 65. Hariyali chicken was nice and spicy. Mutton was not marinated that well and thus the off taste. Chicken Masala was nice and flavourful. Fish tikka was ok but I'm not really a big fan of seafood. Loved the cabbage curry(the white curry on the banana leaf). However really slow service, took them more than 5 minutes to get me water. Prices are comparable to other Indian restaurants and is worth the quantity of food you get and the great taste. Ambience was ok but nothing too good as the restaurant looks rather old.

This place was recommended by our Indian colleagues. First of all make sure you go to the right “Banana Leaf” as there are several restaurants in Singapore with such name. Maybe we just found a wrong one:) The food was tasty, but nothing special. Even my Indian colleagues cook better. The most terrible thing was their service or lack of it. Waited for a menu and for a check for 15 minutes.

The food is exceptionally good in this rare Indian place that perfects quality, service and pricing. Dahi papdi chat that crackles and ooze with flavour. Mock mutton masala adventurously mixed in with whole spices. Afghani kebabs lusciously marinated and grilled to perfection. And the pièce de résistance, Chilli Cheese Paneer, an outstanding creation from the febrile mind of Chef Kumaresan, something you won't get anywhere else in SG. Homemade melt-in-your-mouth paneer smeared in a cashew and cheese paste and flecked with sliced chili rings that deliver just the right amount of kick. When topped off by the decadently not-so-sweet badam halwa, Apolo Food Village shakes up the mid-priced Indian restaurant market in SG and reminds me of some of the best restaurants in India - relaxed ambience, attentive but not unctuous service, and plentiful seats spread out over a large area - and astounding variety offering the best of Indian and Indian fusion cuisine. Kudos to Chef K for delivering on the classic multi-cuisine concept with aplomb.

We had a lovely dinner with good food & ambience. Chef's Kumaresan recommendation was good as well as spontaneous service ! They even have a separate menu for Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarians. sharing photos on Vegetarian. Chef was nice to explain all the dishes and it was a healthy wholesome , traditional and made from millet.! love the dessert- rasagulla cake!

Apolo’s Food Village, located close to Tekka Centre, Little India - from the house of The Banana Leaf Apolo is a culinary extravaganza destined to be a landmark for food connoisseurs. The restaurant opened its doors to the public on the 6th of March, 2023. The launch of Apolo’s Food Village is exciting news for the food-loving community in Singapore. The restaurant’s unique blend of Pan-Asian cuisine and immersive dining experience will attract locals and tourists. It features over 600 plus exquisite dishes created with the freshest ingredients, expertly crafted by skilled chefs. From delicious snacks and decadent desserts to prepare cocktails, fresh seafood, and delicious mains, the restaurant serves up all this and more in a luxurious dining experience that will keep locals, foodies, and travellers returning for more. The restaurant has ample, unassuming space with 12,000 sq. ft. and several themed corners to enjoy your lip-smacking meal. The open-kitchen concept adds to the excitement of the dining experience, as diners can watch skilled chefs prepare their meals with precision and expertise. The themed corners of the restaurant offer a glimpse into the culture and art of different regions, making it a unique and memorable dining experience. The attention to detail in the restaurant’s design is evident, from the earthy VIBGYOR tones to the incorporation of historical elements in the heritage arcade. It creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a perfect place for special occasions or a treat for oneself. One of the most noteworthy aspects of Apolo’s Food Village is the use of traditional cooking methods and locally sourced ingredients. It not only adds to the authenticity of the dishes but also highlights the importance of preserving culinary traditions. The Indian food served in handmade mud pots and plates sourced from the Kaveri Delta region is a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to quality and authenticity. The LOFTY PEAKS bar adds to the dining experience, offering a wide selection of classic and exotic spirits, craft cocktails, and beverages. It is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a drink with friends and family after a delicious meal. It is worth visiting and dining, considering the overall cost of the dishes. Parking at Little India is extremely difficult and it is best to travel by the nearest MRT station. Address: 48 Serangoon Road, 01-32, Little India Arcade, Singapore 217959

The Dahi Puri is so good. 6 balls $8. It is a myriad of favour, sour, sweet, salty, and the texture too, liquid, crispy. I love it so much that i ordered a second serving. The masala tea is full of spices and not spicy. But slightly expensive for a small cup.

Just have a celebration at Banana Leaf Apolo, Race Course outlet. This outlet has a function room which can cater up to 100 people at the 2nd level. There is a well decorated small stage for performance or ceremony. The serving of food is good in buffet style. This restuarant also has menu that service walk-in customers at level 1. Living up to their name, food are served on fresh banana leaves.

Very nice meal here. Food tasted great and the price wasn't too bad. Garlic naan - amazing. Paneer makhani was excellent. Friend got chicken korma which is too bland for me but she enjoyed it a lot. Very nice serving staff.

Apolo’s Food Village is located in Little India Arcade. Price: $4.63 (Plain Thosai) Plain Thosai: 5/5 The thosai was crispy, savoury and had a good sour flavour. Sambar: 5/5 The sambar was flavourful, savoury, moreish, hearty and sweet. Chutney: 5/5 The orange chutney was flavourful, tangy and spicy. The white chutney was savoury and coconuty. The green chutney was savoury and minty. Total score: 15/15 Add-ons: Dahi Puri ($9.50) is a chaat snack and contains yoghurt. Dahi Puri is literally a flavourful explosion in your mouth. Sweet, sour and tangy flavours all encased in the mini puri shells. The Masala Tea ($4.17) had a stronger cardamom taste than usual, is very fragrant and warms you up from the inside. Was a little difficult to get the attention of the service team as it was a big restaurant and I was tucked in a corner as the restaurant was quite full. But I receive excellent service when I do get the attention of the service team. Overall a very pleasant experience at Apolo’s Food Village and will definitely come back for the Dahi Puri as well as try other items on the menu!

Tastes good especially vegetarian cuisine both north and South Indians. Dosai varieties are must try. Chutneys and sambar tastes good compared some other restaurants in that area. Prices are really reasonable. Place is crowded during evening but service is good.

This restaurant is one of the iconic Indian restaurants in Singapore (Little India), we visited this place for brunch. From that day, we went everyday to Apollo Village Restaurant as we were very happy with their food and extraordinary service. We felt at home with the atmosphere and the staff, including Vino, Danabalan, Raman, and the other cooks. Everyone was very friendly. The food and service were both 10/10. I will recommend everyone who visits Singapore (Little India) to try the food at this restaurant. Best of all, the prices were very reasonable and affordable. It was amazing value for money and had an authentic taste. Everything was delicious and well-seasoned. We will definitely come back next time we visit Singapore again. -from Switzerland

This restaurant serves yummy traditional food and the service is great! We ordered thosais, dum Briyani and pakoras, they were all delicious. To end it off, we also tried their filtered coffee. Will bring my friends and introduce them in the future.

The food was divine. For someone who never really frequent Indian cuisines, the manager of the place recommended me dishes that would suit my spice tolerance - well, I'm a beginner. The Butter Chicken and Naan (I know, basic) but it was excellent. The thick creamy butter sauce as you dip your naan is *chef's kiss*. The meat was soft and tender as well. For the drinks, their lassi and smoothies are amazing, sweet enough to quench your thirst but flavourful enough to complement what you are eating. The dessert, a Gulab Jamun, simple looking but packs a punch. Truly amazing experience. The staff are plenty and attentive (this was during Dinner rush hour) and the place has an ambient authentic atmosphere. Definitely would come again! Cost: $35 for food, $54 with the drinks (inclusive of GST and S.C.)

Nagendra was servicing our table, his service just fantastic! Because we were not familar with the food names, he paitiently guided us through and recommended the type of food we were describing about and also recommending what we should try. Once the food arrived! it was just sumptuous! All was swept clean as it was tasty. Apart from that Nagendra also dropped by our table checking in on us if the food was OK. Speaking of service as Quality. Tumbs up Nagendra!

Excellent food and very hospitable service from Nagendra and everyone who provided service - really wonderful staff. Vino was very helpful and guided me through the food menu and the etiquette of eating. The head chef was very engaging (he spent time in Philly). Must definitely try!!

Chef Kumaresan has truly transformed this place into something quite magical and like nothing I've tried before. In what can only be described as a marche for Indian food, only better because you can order right from your table, this place has something for everyone from south and north Indian to chaats and fusion Chinese with innovative takes throughout. Be warned it'll take a while to go through the menus - and there's two of them to accommodate the varied offerings. Potted cheese chilli paneer Tikka is simply marvelous. The palak paneer and garlic naan were wonderful. And I thoroughly enjoyed the kothu prata as well. Drinks were good too, from their mocktails to the traditional masala chai and Bru coffee. Moderately priced but still find it to be good value for what you're getting including the presentation. It gets busy but not crowded to the point of needing to wait for a table. I've already returned to the restaurant in less than a week, can't wait to try more of the food on offer.

Have come here thrice so far - food variety , service & ambience was excellent . For the 2nd visit - for a special birthday occasion - Team Apollo Food Village was able to cater to our last min request for a birthday cake by crafting a carving with birthday fruit - very impressive . Special mention goes to Chef Kumaresan , staff Danabal and all in the Team Apollo Food Village from the ones who took our orders, to those who served us food and drinks and helped to clean up the table for us to cut the cake . Highly recommended !!

A Culinary Delight: Great Service and a Masterful Executive Chef! I recently had the pleasure of lunch with my siblings, and I must say, it was an experience that surpassed all expectations. From the moment I stepped foot through the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and a level of service that truly sets this establishment apart. The icing on the cake was the incredible executive chef (i think his name is kumaresan), who not only crafted extraordinary dishes but also took the time to personally explain the culinary magic behind each creation. The staff at exuded professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care throughout the entire lunch. From the hostess who graciously welcomed us to the knowledgeable waitstaff who guided us through the menu, every interaction felt personalized and engaging. The seamless coordination between the staff members created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, allowing us to focus solely on the exquisite meal ahead. Now, let's talk about the food , the mutton kudal, crab soup, fish sura puttu was exceptional. The biryani was flavourful but just felt the mutton should have been softer. The chicken and fish curry that we requested for the biryani could have been better but overall the dishes were thoughtfully crafted, showcasing a harmonious blend of ingredients that surprised and delighted me with each mouthful. The attention to detail extended beyond the culinary delights. The ambiance of the restaurant was sophisticated, yet inviting, with a tasteful decor / paintings that complemented the overall dining experience. Treat yourself to a culinary journey that will leave you in awe and eagerly planning your next visit. I will strongly recommend this place

The food is super yummy authentic taste Indian, they also have complete menu North and South Indian dishes. I guess this the best Indian restaurant in Singapore. I guess next time should try other menu also because all we ordered that day all delicious. The traditional India ice cream Kulfi also taste good, mine is pistachio. Place are standard casual dining restaurant, nothing special more like caffetaria arrangement. Price still ok with the good quality food. They have few branch, maybe other branch ambiance better if want you to seek decor.

This venue is always be the first I visit once I arrive in this city-state from Jakarta. It delivers authentic service, wonderful experience, and tantalizing cum mouthwatering menus. It has amazing value for money. Apollo is the most valid proof that a simple banana leaf has gravity, lures you to spend moment here, to enjoy its delicious servings.

Taste wise, average compare to some other Indian restaurants in the neighborhood or in Singapore. Some dishes are good, some are not that special. It’s like they were not enough flavor or spices. Even the iced tea tarik was very light.

Very Poor service . They are more interested in hard selling their food items . Had to ask several times for water. had to ask again twice even after food arrived . Cups were dirty. Food is very average and does not reflect the price of restaurant . Saw chef using his bare hands preparing the food and handling food items without gloves etc.

We went to Apolo's Food Village after completing our long fasting. We ordered 1 meal, mutton , chicken & veg. We also ordered 2 juices. The bill was $93. I think they want to make back the renovation money ASAP. This will be our 1st & last visit to Apolo food Village.

Had dinner. The food was excellent . But was wondering why papadams was not given as complimentary despite we had rice n dishes. Excellent service and I wish to compliment Aasif who recommended few dishes that had unique taste and flavour.

The food is very nice, although a bit spicy for my taste. The decoration of the restaurant is also nice, and what I find quite satisfied is that the staffs are very nice and enthusiastic. The only small suggestion is that the menu will be easier to choose if there are pictures. Should try Indian foods here if come to Little India ^^

We had the pani puri, chicken handi, mutton biryani and kothu prata chicken. Everything we had was superb, delighting us with a burst of flavour in every bite. The service was also excellent and the food came shortly after we ordered. We’ll definitely come back again to try other dishes! 💯

Everything here is good. I tried mutton dum briyani. Absolutely the best I've tried ever. The rice was soft to perfection. I think they double steamed it so that its mutton is tender. Loved it. Go try.

We had a good dining experience at the restaurant. We tried idly, idiyappam, pav bhajji, and dosa, and every single one of them exceeded our expectations. We also had the pleasure of trying the refreshing mango lassi and orange juice, which were both exceptional, although the lassi was a bit heavier (but that's what makes it so authentic!). Despite the restaurant being busy, the staff were extremely efficient and friendly, taking our order promptly and serving our food within just 10 minutes of our arrival. We didn’t make any reservation. There was no reservation made earlier, we walked into the restaurant without a reservation. The restaurant offered a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes to choose from, allowing us to sample a diverse range of flavors and cuisine during our meal. It was a fantastic way to experience and savor different types of Indian cuisine in one sitting.
