If you're seeking the dark, strong aromas and flavors of a rich roast, Nylon Coffee might not be your top choice. The coffee here leans on the acidic side, and their offerings are predominantly medium roasts. It didn't give me that robust kick I often crave. However, their commitment to customer service cannot be overlooked. The team genuinely tries to accommodate individual preferences, which I truly appreciate. I'd certainly consider coming back when I'm in the mood for something on the lighter side. Kudos to the Nylon Coffee team for their commendable service!

Dropped by Nylon coffee just a few weeks back and will definitely come back once the store opens after their end year break! To people who are contemplating on a chill neighbourhood coffee place near Outram Park area, y'all should drop by Nylon! When I first entered the place after scanning the TraceTogether QR code, I was warmly greeted by the staff! They were pretty friendly which makes the overall experience good too. If you were to order after dropping by the store, they would likely pass you your drink, and there are spaces indoors and outdoors to enjoy your coffee! Even though the indoor dining space is not exactly big or small, there is sufficient room for you to stand/ sit, while looking at the coffee roasting process that is happening further in the store. It was honestly pretty interesting to watch the way how one of the staff controlled the roasting process as technology was incorporated. Not to mention, the table for customers who opt to stand has hooks so that customers can hang their bags and not leave it on the ground. Before I left the store, one of the staff briefly introduced me to the coffee roasting process which gave me a decent understanding on the freshly roasted beans affect the taste of the coffee. Overall, Nylon Coffee Roasters is definitely a place to come if you would like to enjoy a good cup of coffee/ purchase coffee beans for your own consumption! It is located just a short walk from opposite the Pinnacle@Duxton!

They have very interesting flavours. The boss shared they use special fermented methods to bring out the flavours from the coffee beans. Very casual settings. You just find a bench to sit after you ordered your coffee. The staff will bring the coffee to you. Their special flavoured coffee do change. Do come by to check out their special roast.

An exemplary of poor service , was ask to pay in cards rather than cash to abide with good practices of COVID-19. Since the coffee was only available to walk- away, the brewer ask a senseless question ;do my coffee need a lid ? Never mind about that, requested for a straw and the server just tell me out of straw. She was also expecting me can carry it without a plastic, and stroll back to my office as she can see I am carrying other stuffs. So I walked back within 10 min to avoid the meltdown of the ice which might create the bad taste of the coffee. If they are offering only take away options than they should be providing all the necessities to make in line that's create the best experience for customers. This coffee that cost $5.50 for such tiny size and a demonstration of its laissez-faire attitude, is a reflection of dissatisfaction yet without the slightest stress of its distastefulness service.

Stopover coffee place. Absolutely a great cup of coffee. Freshly roasted with really thick milk. Probably one of the best white coffee I ever tasted. Delighted to have the staffs saying goodbye and asking how’s their coffee while leaving the cozy place too! A coffee place not to be missed if you re nearby 😀

Tucked in one of the Everton HDB blocks, Nylon Coffee Roasters is a place for serious coffee lovers. Great coffee, reasonable prices. Run by a bunch of passionate friendly folks who take time to chat, educate about their coffee and check for feedback after. Never felt rushed despite the hustle and bustle. It is no surprise why it is crowded and highly rated. Standing room mostly and 2 cozy corners inside and some bench outside. Lots of takeaway orders so the crowd is perpetually there. Would definitely come back and linger over a good cuppa.

Nylon Coffee Roasters is always bustling with happy customers as they serve great Coffee! The Coffee here is excellent and prepared with love. It's an interesting and unique set up with a standing tall table in the middle of the cafe and benches along the side of the glass. For non aircon option, there are some tables and chairs outside the cafe as well. The Coffee beans are very fragrant and pure. I also see regular customer bringing their own cup or tumbler to put the Coffee. Staff are very friendly and approachable. #ILoveNylonCoffeeRoasters

Returning to this cafe after so many years. Everything is still the same - great coffee🤩, friendly service😊, cosy ambiance😌. Of cos the place is now more "zhng" already but still retain the same vibe. Price is kept reasonable too.

Lovely coffee roaster with self roasted coffee in a cozy setting. Not much seating as its meant for those who needed to get a quality coffee fix. I stayed quite far from this place but will definitely drop by everytime I am near this area!

Would always come here in the morning to enjoy an oat white and the coffee here is smooth and good, not too acidic - a fine balance between the grounds and milk. Though it can get a bit crowded and noisy inside - I usually sit outside and enjoy the morning air whilst reading a book and I think the overall vibe and ambiance is pretty good - natural light and it’s tucked away in the corner under the HDB. The staff there are nice too, checking up with you on how the coffee tastes, and they can give you advice on what beans to buy as well; I bought one of their beans for filter coffee and it was really fragrant . Definitely a place that I would go back to when I have the time.

My new favourite go to place for a cup of coffee. We intended to get our coffee in a take-away cup because it was packed and we didn't have seats to enjoy it, but the people working there were so passionate about coffee that they urged we have it in their ceramic cup because they said that it would definitely taste better! I'm so glad we took the advice. Would definitely return for a good cup of coffee at a reasonable price with excellent service.

Not sure what the hype about this place is, coffee was at best average, not the most conducive or welcoming environment to sit down at either, and their staff are quite aloof. This is my second time giving them a try and I don’t think it’s a one-off experience now, not worth the trip — there are better coffee joints around for a more pleasant experience.

Popped by last weekend to try their coffee for the first time and I’m quite impressed! Phase 2 HA so everything was takeaway only but evidently still a popular choice for people as there was a queue for collection outside. Got the long black and it was a fragrant, well balanced cup. Was slightly acidic at the beginning but got smoother as I drank on (?) Am definitely not a coffee connoisseur but I did enjoy my cup! Would go back for sure.

Quite an amazing place for having fresh grounded coffee A little place nested in the hdb complex of Tanjong Pagar area. I have been coming to this place since many years Though they have less options but that’s what makes them make perfect coffee Managed by young team of chaps who brought a new kind of experience to the coffee roasters They roast and ground their own beans to make freshest coffee around the area

Iced white itself was good, right amount of milk used. tastes more single origin & acidic profile, not my usual preference but I really enjoyed theirs. Also very friendly and helpful service staff. It was very busy on a weekday noon. $6 for iced white. Have a variety of filter as well.

The cafe sells only coffee (no brunch, no dessert, nothing - just coffee). But, the coffee is excellent. I liked the Guatemala T'Zun Wit'Z. The coffee is not too strong, not too acidic, very well balanced. There are other Ethiopian and Guatemalan coffees which they offered and I had tried, but the T'Zun Wit'Z is the one I prefer more. If you want something refreshing, try the summer spritz. The drink is made with espresso, tonic water, and served iced.

This is my go to coffee place for the last few years, although sometimes it’s a little out of the way. Come here for the perfect 5oz white and the hand brews, with a rotating seasonal menu depending on the beans they have. Some of the most dedicated owners and staff I’ve ever met. If you’ve not been to Nylon, you’re missing out!

i think it is still good - there r better cups elsewhere indeed. But if it is so bad, dont go back ever. Bad biz will dwindle away on its own. Why vile hands write nasty things about local biz is beyond me. Has the pandemic not taught us to be greater beings? Shut the hype up if u have nothing else to say. ;p

Finally made a trip to Nylon. It was a busy time with many waiting outside for their brew. Bought a bag of beans and had it grounded. Best of all, had a fantastic chat with Dennis who share his coffee views and other food related sound bites. Will visit again once I run dry of grind 3rd Oct A return visit saw me pick up a Porlex grinder and a new bag of beans. Still crowded as ever. Good to see Dennis and crew hard at work.

We travelled one hour to get a cup of Nylon coffee in the morning, worth it!! Great drinking, learning and communicating experience with Nylon staff, thank you for sharing coffee knowledge with me and listening to our feedback. I guess there are many good coffees in terms of taste, but Nylon made a special approach to all the guests-- sincerity and care!! Looking forward to the next time when i finish my hermosa cafe de Colombia!! Gracias!!!

Definitely one of the top coffee joints in Singapore. Easily top 3 to be honest. The flavors here are complex but not overbearing. Unlike many other cafes with overly acidic notes and/or flat tones. They roast their own beans at the back of the shop, so you know they've put in the effort/skill to make us such deliciously good coffee. Highly highly recommended you drink your coffee in house. The warm cups make a difference vs paper take aways.

Definitely a favourite here in Singapore. If you want a good, robust, full-flavoured cup of coffee, you won’t be disappointed. I take my coffees black so I can savour the flavours. I had an El Salvador La Gloria and it was really glorious. The folks at Nylon are great with service and their space, though small, is comfortable. No food served.. just coffee. But it’s good coffee.

A lively cafe tuck in neighborhood. It’s well known for the roasted coffee beans because I, myself have bought their beans throughout the years online. This is my first time to visit their cafe. It was tough when standing in front of the counter because their baristas keep pressing us which coffee or beans are good. We both are introverts and would take some mins to decide and didn’t like the pressure, sometimes it’s best to let your customers decide by themselves unless we request for recommendations. We do appreciate the kindness and the assistance given. They can speak English and Mandarin. We understand that their baristas like to chat with their customers. Just imagine introverts meeting extroverts 🎢 Back to the coffee, coffee was great and price is standard. The cafe have limited seatings, standing table is provided. The cafe atmosphere is very energetic, the furnitures, colors, interiors are to my liking. Thank you Nylon!

My wife and I had a very nice lunch at Tras St then decided to walk over for some coffee. I've been here before when I came to check our the patisserie next door but that time we got coffee to go and drank it in the gazebo outside. When we entered, the coffee smell was entrancing so good start and high expectations. Seating inside is limited but lots of standing room with little shelves for your coffee. Overall atmosphere is quite good but obviously not designed for hanging out. Baristas are welcoming and happy to explain the coffees. This time, we wanted to be more serious in our tasting. Two espresso based drinks. My wife got the Colombian (see pictures for description of the beans) as a macchiato and I got the Brazil as a cappuccino (they call it a medium espresso with milk). Macchiato was pretty good but the flavours we're all up front acidity and fruit. Missing the complexity and length that we get from our favourite coffee places. Granted even those places have good and bad days. So I'll give it a low 4 rating. Otherwise I would probably give it 3 stars compared to best cafes in Singapore. The cappuccino was really lacking in flavour. Totally overwhelmed by the milk. I get the mellow tastes but it needed some contrast to be balanced. I didn't like it at all. Overall, quite a disappointment given my previous memory of this place. I may come back but it'll be too try the filter coffee.

Super cute local coffee spot off the beaten path! Very very friendly baristas, they gave me a descriptive rundown of the types of coffee they're brewing, you can look into the back roasting room too which is super cool. I went simple and got a long black which was excellent. Mostly standing room with a high table, but I met some nice locals and felt like I was in the right place to start my day!

first time at nylon - a cute little coffee roaster at a hdb block! the shop was packed during weekday lunchtime and not many seats as there were only benches and standing tables for you to grab a quick coffee fix. coffee wise - it was really affordable and tasty! we ordered two hot whites 5oz(?) for $5 each and enjoyed the raisin, cherry notes. wasn’t acidic surprisingly but could still taste the flavours of the fruits. although it’s not a proper sit down coffee shop, the service was still commendable and the staff were very friendly. will definitely come again and stock up on my beans ;)

I love their customer service and coffee bean introductions👍🏻, not many cafe cashiers are willing to introduce their coffee beans and repeat customers' orders. Just a bit hot inside 😅 the cafe… I order 1 espresso and 1 5oz latte (both Guatemala bean) nice~ and creamy taste! 😋

  • 5/5 Royal P. 2 years ago on Google
One of the best coffees in Singapore from this well-established local roaster. Consistent quality. The default for the white is a single shot. Choice of 2 rotating single origins for espresso-based drinks. They use Meiji milk. This latest double shot 5 oz white (Nicaragua Buena Vista) had raisin, nutty, slightly chocolaty notes. From earlier visits: Double shot 7 oz whites: El Salvador Las Palmas - raisin notes and a chocolate aftertaste though the flavour was not so clear. Guatemala Guatalon - plum chocolate notes. Ethiopia Nensebo Riripa - blueberry, green tea notes. Colombia La Pila - red grape chocolate notes. Nicaragua Finca Libre - fruity, nutty notes. Guatemala El Rancho - fruity, chocolatly notes. Honduras El Puente - red apple, nutty, chocolaty notes. Double shot 5 oz white: Guatemala Guatalon - red grape notes. Colombia Bella Vista - stone fruit, red apple notes.

Tucked away under a HDB block, Nylon Coffee Roasters is a cosy space for coffee drinkers. There isn’t much seating space, but you can stand around the island in the centre. Coffee is smooth, fragrant and very enjoyable. They also sell some merchandise and coffee equipment for the home brewers.

So I bought equipment to do my own pourovers at home and have been brewing ever since. Now time to time I'll pick up beans from Nylon (and of course get a cup of coffee too).

Took time to visit this coffee shop before work. Surprised to see how busy it was on a weekday morning 10 ‘o’ clock. No wonder it is rated the best in Singapore. I Could smell the beans a few meters before I reached there. That’s what you expect from a good coffee shop. I had a Nicaraguan iced batch brew. Very nice. Flavours sit on the tongue nicely 30 mins after the drink. Quite refreshing too. Sadly couldn’t take any photographs.

This is a hip and minimal coffee space, more suitable for a quick drink than for chilling out. Coffee was good !

Went there with colleagues today as we were in the area for training. This place is nothing to rave about with speciality coffee scene growing in Singapore. One lady was nagging at two other staff the whole time while I was watching them brew our orders. I asked a few questions about the brew recipes... While the same lady did politely engage me, she quickly went back to nagging. Reading another review, they described the staff as arrogant, can't agree more. Reply to Nylon's reply: Thank you for your reply. I am glad that you take pride in delivering a quality cup of brew. But sadly the "nagging" had little to do with coffee. Moreover, I contemplated long before even asking any questions because of the ongoing nagging which sandwiched my interest. There was an air of arrogance, probably also due to the nagging, that intimidated me who was interested to learn more. Unfortunate for me I guess... because while the coffee was probably good, I couldn't focus on enjoying the experience anymore.

Great coffee! I love the taste. In other shops, I only have 1 favorite. But in this store, I got 3 favorite flavors!

Quaint espresso place tucked within the sleepy neighbourhood of Everton Park. Limited seating due to Covid-19, so most make do with takeaways. What wasn’t shown on board was there was a 30 cents off should you bring your own cup (couldn’t find it anywhere). Non pretentious, has both drip and espresso, worthwhile for the price.

Probably one of my two favourite coffee shops in the area - the other being Five Oars. The coffee here though I think is nicer by a hair - or at least, more suited to my taste. I prefer less acidic and smooth coffee, so this one suits my just nice. Can get very packed easily though, so getting a takeaway and sipping at a near park bench is my normal approach.

Believe me or not, the flavor is defined as peach juice. The sweet peach taste is also strongly noticeable with every sip of this illegal drink. A bold aftertaste finishes the cup and leaves on the tongue for a minute before being completely washed away. Strongly recommend this bev for fruit lovers and regular drinkers. 🍑

A nice little shop nestled in a HDB estate where they roast daily from the shop itself. Friendly customer service and definitely worth a visit if you love good coffee. The shop has good safe distancing measures and the proprietors often remind their customers, but some people are just indifferent, even though they have seen how community cases can become big. It's not far from the @shakeshacksg and the area nearby has a lot of lovely old shophouses and streets along #evertonroad

Nylon is one of the top SG coffee places I would not want to miss. The recent renovation is relatively charming, and I learnt that its finishings mimicked the elements of the Everton ‘park’. Weekends were mostly packed, but bcos I have been to Nylon (interior) on its ‘roomier’ days, it’s equally comforting to sip their good coffees outside. I just had to have good coffee to slow down my life and Nylon coffee does that for me very well every time.

Really solid coffee, seemed to have many regulars. Hoping the new (?) employee gets to have some more practice with the payment interface / serving coffee! :) She was panicking a little bit but was really calm and it was nice to see the baristas helping her. Don't panic, you're doing fine! Good vibes. Coffee was good but it took a while to come out, which was strange because there were 3 baristas if I remember correctly. It's a really no-frills place with no proper seats (benches and standing tables only), so felt more apt for a quick cuppa and out. Not a bad thing really. I was intrigued by the rating but it's quite a bit overrated in my opinion, many many cafés in Singapore do as well as them (not saying they're bad, their coffee is really good, just not out-of-this-world like the ratings suggest). I walked under the scorching sun to find this (hard to find) café, so if I went on a breezier day I would have had a much more pleasant experience! High expectations :')

2 star for the coffee as the Coffee is great. After it is cold still gives a very good taste and fragrance. However, the service standard must be improve. When I was there 2x, during HA, only take away allowed. Was ask the same question, if I need a lid for my coffee both for hot and cold. Uhm do you think I can walk around without a lid? I understand that you will like to be environment friendly but will you kindly consider as I walk home the dust in the air, will it fly into my coffee? And when I walk, is hard to stabilize the coffee in my hands and it will spill. Have your team consider all these? Ask for a straw but they do not provide. Fine. But my comment is, really hard to drink without a straw. The way the takeaway cup is designed, the coffee drip when I try to drink it and make it very messy. Not a nice experience drinking. The manager or the boss is also not friendly and kind. Heard him reprimanding his staff saying the area is small and should keep away or clean immediately. Sure you can do that but I suggest such housekeeping should be done behind close doors and not openly. Overall the service standard must be improve to give a more warm and welcoming feeling. Maybe the place is very popular thus service is not their priority. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Reply: Suggestions: 1) consider paper straw as they are environmental friendly as well 2) tagline to customers: “will you like to go without the lids to play a part in saving the earth” I sincerely hope that your customer service can improve as you guys make good coffee but it will be better if it could comes together with better customer service and experience. 2cents worth of suggestions for you to consider.

Dropped by around 1pm on a Thursday and managed to get a standing spot without waiting. Ordered a medium hot white for $5. In these time of inflation, $5 for a good cup is worth it. Interior is small but chic with warm ambient lights and pleasant color palette. The coffee was served shortly after ordering. A simple coffee art, but the taste and amount of froth is excellent, displaying great barista skills and pour. Definitely had high expectations before coming here and I’m glad I wasn’t disappointed. I dare say one of the top spots to go to for a good consistent cup of barista coffee in Singapore.

Nylon Coffee Roasters has been around the block for 11 years and their commitment to the farm to cup approach still persists. Ensuring that the entire supply chain is sustainable is so important to any business' long-term strategy. On the hopper - A Nicaragua Finca Libre, we tasted apples and fruit-forward flavours, but there were hints of something else towards the end which we could not put our finger to. Immaculate and divine.

Coffee was fantastic here! Ordered a cold white (basically an iced latte) it was so good. It was 7 SGD which is about right for specialty coffee. Service was quick and good despite the store being packed the time we visited. Very fascinated by the coffee beans vending machine and the roasting room in the back of the store. A little hard to find the store as it was nestled inside what appeared to be a residential complex, so be patient, but it is worth it!

One of the interesting coffee roaster in the Everton Park HDB neighborhood. Loved the vibe and service. Had the Columbia La Germania in a single macchiato.. which amplifies the fruitiness and acidic balance in the front and mid range. Great choice, thanks to the barista! My hubby had the Brazilian Santa Clara in a cappuccino, which IMHO was a bit overshadowed by the milky taste. Nonetheless this place specializes in filter coffee, not espresso. Will come back another time to try filter brew.
