This place isn't short of customers. It has its followers. The coffee is good and fairly priced. The egg Benedict overall was tasty. Here comes the issue: 1. Egg Ben. - menu said "wilted spinach". Wilted spinach means cooked spinach. The Egg Ben was layered with fresh baby spinach leaves. This to me is kinda misleading. 2. The guy who attended to us had "I don't want to work" written on his forehead. It felt like as if we were inconveniencing him to seat us, take our order and served us breakfast. We were seated almost under his nose, yet it felt like we were invisible, until we had to call for service. This is the reason I would avoid a restaurant like this like a plaque. It isn't cheap either. This is where I absolutely believe that mandatory service charge should be abolished.

Explored this place by chance as it was one of the few coffee houses open on CNY. We tried few drinks & some breads. Everything was good. But staff and service is not great. Not sure what is the reason they all look very unhappy & 0 on enthusiasm. Highlight was price of water, which is 2 SGD per glass, which does not makes sense at all, it just reflects on the class of the place. Will give this place a miss. I think this place can do wonders if equipped with great staff n service.

I’ve never had a meal here, so can’t comment on that, but I’ve had coffee and dessert here a few times, as well as bought from their deli. Service here is generally okay. The deli has a nice selection and the location is quite convenient. It’s rather pricey but the quality is good. Their coffees are nice. You can see a long black and a single origin drip below. The latter is a tad pricey and the presentation gimmicky, but the taste is good. Their pastries are nice (the pain au chocolate in the photo was rather good); the cakes, less so. I do miss Antoinette for cakes. If you just want coffee or tea and a slice of cake, you may wish to look at the Ma Maison cafe that now occupies Antoinette’s old space on the same floor.

This is a place in the heart of Orchard Road for good wine and quality deli at very reasonable price. A great place to catch up and “wine” down at any time of the day and week. The friendly staff makes every visit a heartwarming experience.

I recently had the chance to visit The Providore in Singapore, and unfortunately, I was left incredibly disappointed by the experience. While the breakfast itself was delicious, the service I received was absolutely abysmal, so much so that I cannot recommend this establishment to others. My dissatisfaction started right from the moment I entered the premises. As a parent with a baby, I brought along a stroller. To my surprise, the staff member at the entrance insisted that I leave the stroller outside. However, upon entering the restaurant, I noticed that other customers were permitted to have their strollers with them. This inconsistency and lack of consideration immediately put me off. The most displeasing aspect of the entire experience, however, was the staff member's attitude. From the moment we stepped inside, he addressed us with a noticeably disrespectful and condescending tone. Not only did his words make us feel unwelcome, but his overall demeanor left a negative impression that overshadowed the otherwise tasty breakfast. I believe that good service is just as important as the quality of the food. Unfortunately, The Providore fell short in this aspect, completely undermining any positive aspects of our meal. The experience left me feeling disheartened as a customer. Regrettably, I must caution others from visiting The Providore due to their subpar service. It is incredibly disappointing to have to write a negative review, particularly when the food itself was quite enjoyable. However, the poor treatment we encountered cannot be overlooked, and it is not something I would want others to experience. I believe it is essential for The Providore to address their service issues and strive to provide a welcoming environment for all customers. Until that happens, I would recommend exploring alternative dining options in the area that prioritize customer satisfaction and hospitality.

I always feel this place could be better. Sat for ages with our masks on as we had no drinks. Everywhere these days give water when you sit down so you can remove your mask right? I had the club sandwich which was tough to even cut through as the bacon was so hard. Anyway they changed to Egg Benedict which was passable. Jo had the salmon bagel which she enjoyed though. Service was slow but the recovery was good which I appreciated.

Very rude service so be prepared...but good street view. 2 waiters(Saturday afternoon) thought we walked away without paying just because we went to the washroom (even chasing....) but my friend is still inside holding the receipt and checking other items on the shelf. When they find my friend is still in the store but appears no apology ....

We sat outside and has a view of the Orchard Road. The coffee is good and the tarts are excellent. You do need to order coffee and dessert if not having food.

Love the open and airy set-up, excellent location for chilling and/or working. Decent cafe food and coffee. Drop by once in a while for a weekend working spree. - Salmon bagel is huge and filled with veg. - Toasted cheese sandwich is pretty good too. - Coffees are great. When in a chocolatey mood, the mocha is good, and the mochaccino is pretty well-balanced. :)

First time being in Providore at Mandarine, and the atmosphere was the best among the other branches I’ve been to. Every dish tasted so fresh and the staffs were really professional and friendly. Will go back soon!

What a charming spot. In the heart of the familiar Orchard Road shopping belt and yet conveniently elevated from the hustle and hustle tucked into a lovely quiet spot. Once you park yourself in it you're not only spoiled comfortably happy but satiated too, in every way. It also gives a vibe of being somewhere else but yet close to home. Which is absolutely perfect for me to catch up with dear and loved ones who matter. It's definitely a spot to come back too. It helps that the food served is not only fantastic but that it caters to your exacting taste and requirements. Had my full breakfast set done vegetarian version with eggs as how I like it. The coffee is robust with depth and just makes one replete too.

The reason for five stars is a lady by the name of Khomalah. I hope I got her name right. She was proactive in suggesting options - such as waiting for more cakes to arrive as there was only one selection at that time. Khomalah made effort to check in on us as well and really made us feel welcome. Thank you for your service! The food, though… the rosti served with the smoked salmon was uncomfortably hard. We were told that they have received the feedback before, and that the crispiness was intended though on the edges, while the insides are meant to be soft. Erm, ours was hard all the way through. Oh well. I liked my Chai Latte as it was served with some spices on the stirrer. The Spanish Baked Eggs were more watery than I expected, but was still decent. Thanks for the food, Providore!

Went for dinner on a Monday evening, we had Italian platter (mozzarella), lamb shank, iced latte and chocolate cake. The cheese was a good choice as it’s not too overpowering. Lamb shank has great taste but it’s a little tough. Chocolate cake was amazing, and the iced latte is awesome. We visited this joint twice and both times were wowed by the service. Will be back!

I stumbled upon The Providore for some lunch, it was very fulfilling and really good. Iced coffee was also good. The staff was nice and quick. The ambiance was chill, from people working on their laptops to people in groups enjoying lunch. Nice place to grab a quick lunch and go on with the day in Singapore.

I have been buying, dining and drinking at Providore since day one! The owner has been a friend since we started atomi in Mandarin Gallery in 2009. I highly recommended the Mac and Cheese, Club Sandwich and Mocha!

This place is located on a nice & convenient spot on Orchard Road, with an escalator on the outside that goes directly up to the level where the cafe is located. It’s a place that serves food, sandwiches & a lot of small dishes & pastries. Luckily, they also have vegetarian options. There’s also a section where you sell fresh bread & pastries etc. over the counter & opposite a section with bar stools - so, many options for different seating apart from the large cafe section. The staff is good although young. But very nice & helpful. The coffee is great & so is the tea selection. There building itself has several restaurants & independent stores of various kinds. And a lot of foot traffic but never irksome, rather a nice vibe.

a shampoo: --- The rejuvenating shampoo offers a luxurious hair cleansing experience, embodying the perfect blend of nature and science. Its rich lather gently lifts away daily impurities without stripping hair of its natural oils. Infused with a botanical complex, it nourishes the scalp and roots, promoting healthy hair growth. Notably, the formula is free from harsh sulfates and parabens, making it suitable for all hair types, including color-treated hair. After the first wash, hair feels softer, and with continued use, it appears visibly shinier and more manageable. The subtle yet invigorating scent infuses the shower with a refreshing aroma that lingers pleasantly in the hair throughout the day. The packaging, with its sleek and recyclable materials, underlines the brand’s commitment to sustainability. Though on the pricier side, the results justify the investment. This shampoo is more than a hair care product; it's an indulgence for the senses and a testament to the blend of functionality and sensory pleasure.

Disappointing experience. Ordered Ricotta Pancakes that was so dry that it felt like I was eating paper and maple syrup that was so watery that it felt like I was pouring water on my pancakes! The pancakes looks good but sadly failed the basic test of producing soft fluffy pancakes. The ricotta cheese should have been added into the pancakes batter to get a light, fluffy and soft pancakes instead of dotting ricotta cheese on top of it. The only saviour of the day was the Picolo Latte that taste good but even that I had to chase multiple times to get brown sugar 🤦‍♀️

We ordered tea of the day, which is ice oolong milk tea. The taste is light and not too sweet. The draft IPA pint is okay. Love the apple crumble with ice cream. It is warm and full of apple bits. Normally a popular place and need to reserve.

It’s a good place for having wine since they have wide selection of natural/organic wines. I don’t recommend it for food cuz it’s terrible. First we wanted to order baramundi, they told us they they have no avocado so they’ll replace guacamole with sour cream :D hello? Are you serious?! We ordered 2 dishes; lamb shank and grilled halloumi. Lamb shank was totally tasteless as if they had forgotten to season it at all, also very dry. Grilled halloumi and humus was ok but too little portion for the price. I might come back to try other wines but definitely not to eat.

Always wanted to patronize this branch but we never really got a chance. Received a birthday e-mail from them and my birthday is on a Sunday (15.10). Decided to have a simple family drinks gathering. We had a bottle of the Sauvignon Blanc Pouilly Fume, Mango Smoothies, my complimentary Strawberry Shortcake, and tried two out of three of their draught beers. Service was good, company even better. Will come back again definitely.

I remember the first time I visited, the coffee left an impression. Kinda like the ambience & that’s about it. This time maybe some brownie points for the wine recommendations to go with the cheese platter😊

Today me and my wife had visited the Providore cafe at mandarin gallery, food and pastries were great and they served marvellous coffee. When we were about to leave the cafe to catch a movie at Shaw, the rain started pouring, stranded and hopeless, a restaurant staff came to our rescue. Essien saw our predicament and offered us an umbrella! We are truly thankful and appreciate his kind act. 5 stars for Essien! And we will definitely return again.

One of my favourite cafes around Orchard. Food and coffee are always nice with good service and conducive ambience for hanging out. Prices can be a tad high on some dishes but never absurd

Came on a weekend for dessert. The coffee was really thick and good. Very awaking caffeine. The desserts were good! Not overly sweet. But seating might be a bit tight

Came here many times but first time writing a review. Prices here aren’t the cheapest but good variety and quality. Service is good too. Had a glass of wine cos the selection is pretty decent. Not many restaurants will serve Pinot Nero from Alto Adige by the glass!

Food is alright. English breakfast was just normal. Egg Benedict was good. Water is chargeable at $2 person. There seems to be only one two person table near the window. The car park is a little too deep underground.

Very rude!! The training staff tell us to walk away from our table just because we have our coffee in a cup! Well we pay the service charge! We should have a proper service! It cost us twice than starbucks but the service is rubbish! I warned you never come here

They have a little charcuterie and cheese section where you can satisfy your cravings and grab some to go (if you're doing a staycation at the nearby meritus mandarin and soon to be Hilton). Prices are a little on the steep side but they do need to make rent. They also have a little corner selling wine with a good selection that includes Lebanon, Greece, and China. Of course if you're craving for something more classic they have vosne romanee and gevrey chambertin as well.

Smashed avocado on toast - the poached egg was overcooked. Egg yolk was not runny at all and it was more like a boiled egg. Cherry cream danish - it was good until I bit cherry bits inside... Overall taste was good, but I give three stars because of the overcooked poached egg and pits in the cherry danish.
