Cherry was kind enough to host a post-Pink Dot clubbing event on the night of 18 June 2022. The music was good and the post-Pink Dot crowd was great so plus points for having the courage to host the event. However, all things considered, the service was appalling and the bouncers were even worse. I do not recommend this place. Our group had a table and we were willing to spend a large sum on drinks (official minimum spend was $2k), however when we arrived not a single person took our order for the longest time and the staff did not guide us to the table. We struggled for a good half hour to even place our orders for drinks. We did manage to order some drinks, but at circa 2-2.30am, having freshly placed an order for 2 new bottles of hard liquor ($500), I went outside to get fresh air and search for some friends. When I went back the bouncers refused to let me in, telling me to wait in a long "re-entry queue" where it was obvious there was no possibility of entering before 3am (closing time). The bouncers claim everyone in the queue had a chop but had to wait their turn, however I checked with several people and they said they were new entrants (no chops). Overall, the bouncers handled the situation very poorly. Their reasoning for not letting us in was false and they were quick to result to violence rather than explaining the situation clearly. They were aggressive and asked if I wanted to "cause trouble" when it was clear the queue would not move in time, to which I calmly explained I had no intention for trouvle as I had just ordered drinks and wanted to go back and enjoy them. Whilst the situation was very tense, I do not blame the bouncers entirely for doing their job. I believe the organizers had oversold the number of participants able to join given current regulations, putting the bouncers in a tough spot. Having said that, the bouncers should be provided additional training on how to deal with these matters in a calm and professional manner.

They cannot afford chairs, toilet paper or even class for that matter. This is the place to be if you want to be disrespected by some bouncers with ego issues😍. They kicked us out for not ordering another bottle then proceeded to scream even when we agreed to leave peacefully. These bouncers also vape openly, it would be a shame if someone reported them to the police. They also don't have any of the cocktails listed in the menu, they only let you order bottles Oh and they leave you alone while doing the supervised ART and don't even wait for a negative result

I had so much fun! This club had a younger age range - probably 18 to late 20’s. Venue is a decent size and had good ventilation. However it was quite dark and slippery in some areas. There were 3-5 DJs on rotation so the night had a good mix of music, which I really liked. They played old school rnb, pop, kpop, cpop, hardstyle, edm. Cost around $40 AUD with 1 free drink voucher (ticket purchased at the door) on a Saturday night.

agree with all the negative comments at this place. i think the staff working here have some serious attitude problem including the manager and bartender themselves. eager to make people open table and spend money there, then end up bounce everybody out. bouncers behave like gangsters. seriously a place with no class and trashy experience 🤮

Went on a ladies night and it was super boring… small crowd and people just vomited on the floor here and there 🤢 drink was pretty diluted as well but bartenders are quite friendly. Lighting is dimmer than other clubs and tables are priced at $300, capped at 5 pax.

Took 2 hours of waiting time to enter the club despite making reservations beforehand. The bouncers are extremely rude and they keep shouting at ppl for unnecessary reasons. They started kicking ppl out at 12am itself to accommodate new people. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!

Absolutely horrible. We came on a Wednesday (ladies night) and they said there is no cover charge. Once that was done and paid for, they said we had to buy a jug/bucket/bottle to just go on the dance floor. Club was also empty AF despite the door staff telling us there were 200 people inside. AVOID IF YOU CAN.

Everything about this place is “meh”. The interior is dated and looks broken down and generally unimpressive. The music is fine but nothing special. As far as I’m aware there is no dress code. There were people there that went there with a bag of live prawn and were parading it around. I guess they must’ve went prawning right before? Kinda give you an indication of the kind of place this is.

I spent $35 for an online ticket, but I was denied entry and had to queue for almost 2hrs which completely spoiled my night. The bouncers were extremely inept at manning the entrance and prioritized people who were willing to pay an extra buck to get in. Terrible experience and poor management.

Awesome place with great music, dancing, and fun atmosphere. We had so many rounds of drinks! I don’t really remember what happened but I left smelling like prawns for some reason. Also remember to bring your own pants, it can be difficult to purchase them in the moment.

Music sound system is the poorest I have ever heard in a club. You barely can tell which song is playing. Only the basses are predominant with saturations.The place is disgusting. People are puking everywhere. So it smells... Average age 15 yo. I mean, seriously??? Bouncers think they are cowboys in Texas and rule the city. Queue management is an aberration. And when you finally get out, be ready to see underage kids in line puking in front of the club. Charming place...1st and last time for me.

This is hands down the lousiest management I’ve ever come across in any company. Pushed for sofa seating, was promised vip experience no need to queue. However when we reached, we queued for half an hour. Got in, drank for 15 mins got out for a smoke. I had to join the queue and waited for at least an hour for re-entry. There were 3 queues and no indication whatsoever. Went over countless times to check which queue should I join for re entry but every time I was given different information. But new comers were constantly getting in. The last straw was when I approached one of the event organiser or manager that the queue system is very confusing and I’ve waited more than an hour for Re entry. He responded “don’t guai lan me” That response was freaking Low even siam tiu bouncers are more approachable and friendly. Cherry discotheque bouncers are the most egotistical, edgy, low life thinking they are from the WWE fighting with anyone for so much as asking them simple questions. This is what we get for sofa seating vip experience. Our entire group contracted covid there too. 😂

I visited the Discotheque today. At first, the bouncers asked me to come back after 30 mins. Upon doing so, they made some lame excuse that there was some cleaning going on, due to an event. I had to wait for another 10-15 mins. Post this, they made me wait again for sometime without telling me anything. Finally admitted me at 9:15 PM after taking a $35 charges, and offering a complimentary drink. Sadly the pub was fully empty on a Saturday night. And now, there was nobody to guide me too. Appeared racist. Please avoid the pub. Wonder how they are still in business

very rude staff, refused to let me re enter not because they were full but because the bouncer did not like what I said. I said,” hurry up before he sees us” even though I already had tickets. I am not sure what to say but I think the staff should be able to take a joke and be a little more relaxed with the backlash

If it was possible to give a lower rating I’d give it. The place itself is nice, music and atmosphere are excellent. But the service is abysmal. I’m not joking when I say it’s the worse service I’ve had in any sort of nightlife establishment in Singapore. Which is a shame because Cherry as a club was a truly great experience. However the current Cherry doesn’t seem to care about its customers, they just want you to spend money without providing the bare minimum for decent service. On several occasions, my friends and I would come down to drink usually ordering several bottles each time we went. Servers would bring us the bottle, but not cups nor ice. When asked whether they could bring some for us, it usually took upwards of 15 minutes. The last straw for me personally was when we were asked to pay a $15 entry fee, despite having a table reserved, in exchange for food coupons. We redeemed the coupons around 9 and were told at 11 PM that our food still wasn’t ready. We ended up just leaving. Cherry used to be one of my favourite clubs in Singapore. The music and atmosphere was unlike any nightlife establishment, but the current Cherry is a shadow of its former self. Do not bother going unless you don’t mind spending lots of money for terrible service and overpriced liquor. I hope Cherry gets its act together soon, but until then I’m staying far away.

👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 place. First tried texting them for reservation of sofa. No one replied. All 3 number didnt reply me. So i asked one of my chinese friend to help me reserve. He gets a reply the next day. Deposit given, reservation confirmed. Went to the place the next day, the guy at the door said our names wasnt in the list. I even showed him a screenshot of the conversation but he said he cant do anything about as their sofa’s are all full and gave us a refund of the deposit. It was saturday night and we were afraid all clubs were full but luckily we found a place that wasnt full yet.

Decent service and nice crowd. But becareful of your bottles of alcohol. There are people who will steal your bottles and the staffs would not assist even if your bottles is stolen under their cctv. They'll treat you as drunks and pass you off. Lmao. Not coming back again.

Music mixing and songs wasn’t that good by a DJ wearing cap and spectacles. Doesn’t look friendly too… , the overall vibe of the club isn’t that welcoming as the door service needs to be improved as well. Been to better clubs than this experience

Racist club that has racial quotas. The bouncers pretended the club was full to bully my friends and I to get bottle service when was half empty at best. On top of that some of my friends got covid too.

First and last time I will be coming to this place. Servers was extremely rude and most of them did not wear mask. If you’re thinking of coming down to this place , I advice you to think twice. Visited Cherry Diner and it was honestly a let down. Reserved a table and even reconfirmed my reservation with them a few hours before I arrived but when I got there, they told me they were full???? So we waited for a good 30-40 mins to get a table (just a table, no chairs) till they could find a better placement for us. Servers all had their masks down, wasn't even serving, just mingling and taking pics - everything took forever to arrive. Only saw this one dude doing his job. The food honestly wasn't even worth the price, portions were small and taste was mediocre.

The club was alright. Had my first night on 30/12. Music was great. Staff was helpful. i’ll definitely come back :)) While the entrance fee includes a free drink; does it also mean free classic cocktails? if Not, i hope one of the bartenders answers this question so i could order these drinks when i come back: How much would Each following cocktail cost? - a Negroni - Deer hunter - White cuban - Old Fashioned. Quite pricy, but enjoyable queer-coded club that gets a good crowd after around midnight. Many of the songs were bangers but some (e.g. old TV show intros) were a little bit confusing. Reminded me a little bit of some queer clubs in Brooklyn.

Bad club. Music is not good. Bouncers do not look out for ladies. A group of guys near my girl group were rude and reported to bouncer who just ignored. Music sound system is bad. The ambience is not good either.

Absolutely love the new revamp and renovation done for the new Cherry. Atmosphere and hip hop music was amazing, would definitely come back!

One of the best clubs I've been to in my past 10 years of clubbing. The vibes are great, the music is good and the staff are all so friendly. 9.5/10 experience! Would recommend everyone to go!

Great place! Good music and party crowd. They let my friends in with shorts on carrying a bag of prawns. And they gave us covid tests to allow us to party safely.

Frequented this club around the time it first opened. A lot has changed since then in terms of service and quality.

Cherry is a dinosaur walking into the sunset. One would expect a crowded club on a Saturday night, but at 1am barely a quarter of the club was full. By 2am people were leaving because of how bare the place was. Did not have an issue with the bouncers like other reviews mentioned, but it likely was because there was no queue to manage to start with. Music was mediocre, less techno/EDM and more pop remixes. Wouldn’t want to risk wasting another Saturday night at Cherry again Also, restroom didn’t have toilet paper

The boss only wants money. If u pay already, they will give ur table to another higher paying customer. Even if u r already at your table drinking, they will ask u to stand n give your table away. Avoid at all cost.

Fun 90s party I attended here! Dancing only began around 11pm though. There was only a few tourists and mostly the crowds is local young people :)

love their retro vibes, but the music and crowd was disappointing that one time I went. they played mostly mainstream hip hop that did not have enough beat and grove to it... the crowd was very dead as well. really disappointed as I heard lots of good reviews about this place

I was there on a Friday night because my Friend DJ was spinning. Towards the end I bought one drink with my credit card and the bartender brought 2 drinks ( after a lot of drinks bought btw mind you throughout the night ) . I told him that I only asked for one . My Friend was passing out and he ( the bartender asked me to escort my Friend out , which I did, assuring me that he would keep tabs of my card and would make sure he sort it out after I get back ) . I escorted my friend out , put her in a cab and went back in. I asked the bartender about the double charge and he said he would refund me anything (except in cash) . Guilty much? I just shook my head in disappointment and he started shoutIng at me. I don’t event bother with him and I talked to the bouncer . He went off and got the Gm. I told the GM I don’t event care about the cost of the one drink and I care more that the ducking bartender tried to trick me of one extra drink . And I don’t freaking appreciate it. If u feel like u wanna get cheated of your money here, come to Cherry by all means. ( KNOW WHAT THE GM TOLD ME: oh I m sorry this happened to you . ) I told him (u keep your 16 $ , I’m never coming back here)

The Malay bartenders in the dance floor area were RUDE. Me and my friends simply asked for the price of the drinks and decided not to purchase, was gestured to 'get lost'. Worst service ever in any club. Would not visit again.

Horrible experience, was almost beaten up outside the club by the bouncers for no reason. The alcohol was too expensive and they put extra charges on my credit card. Complete, waste of time and money, DO NOT GO HERE...

The floor manager is an insecure little kid. Made a big deal out of a group of guys who were just enjoying themselves and bounced them out of the club. Please hire someone with more experience and not someone who's insecure about their life and has the need to express their power only because they have it.

There were alot of ppl on sat, and no absolutely no bouncers to control the crowd/rowdiness on the dancefloor. Ended up being a bad experience because of the poor control of the crowd and not dealing with those who were displaying bad behaviour to ppl around them, like wanting to fight and shoving and also all the broken glass on the floor. Otherwise the music was not bad

Poor service especially from the barista. Receipt was placed in front of my friends and I and naturally, we expected the bill to be ours. Upon checking the bill, the barista reacted aggressively and proceeded to toss my receipt towards me. (Side note: no other group was beside us so it was right for us to assume that the receipt that was placed IN FRONT OF US were ours)

Possibly the worst service I've ever encountered. The waiter stole my mates money in plain sight. You then have their extremely rude staff threatening to kick you out every time you raise your voice. Their drinks are so over priced.

This place is literally a scam, ordered and paid for food but never arrived after more than half an hour. Went to the bar to find out that the order was never actually submitted and just left at the table? Then a few minutes later the easily angered floor manager who wants to pick fights with customers to abruptly decide to close the club early and chase everyone out.

Was there filming for a MediaCorp Channel 8 drama. It has a retro setting & was spacious. The only downside was that their tables were greasy & seems like they were cleaned for a while.

While the club itself is nice, their false advertisement brings them down. The venue hosted a specific genre of music for the night, but they proceeded to play songs not related to the genre. If you are hoping to go to cherry discothequea for an advertised event, you're better off going to another club or drinking at home where you have control of what you listen to.

I love the music here which is mainly hip hop. The ratio here is pretty good since ladies enter for free. Only downside is that the air con deosn't seem to work so it's very stuffy.

Very much enjoyed myself at this club the last time they held EmoNight's anniversary, where punk rock songs were played. The downside to this place is how it's very secluded away from most things, and the place actually has a very hippy, old fashioned feel to it - sort of like a blast to the past. Alcohol is not cheap, but their one for one until midnight is very worth the value. To have a table, minimum spend is about $1,000, whether downstairs or upstairs. That said, if you're in a large group, it's very easily achievable. On normal nights, I don't think they're as crowded, but on nights when they're holding events, it gets super hard to get in, and to get even a reentry pass. All in all, not my top pick for a club, but very enjoyable nonetheless.

Go for the retro vibes and music. They also have a spot for retro games and beer pong. The crowd is generally young 20-25, but the vibe was good. We had a table quoted at min spending of 1.5k. The on the ground staff seem very young so might get quite chaotic at times.

Would not visit again.

Affordable drinks

Honestly a very cool club! Love the music, love the drinks, but there are few things: 1. The ladies bathroom ran out of toilet paper, like nothing at all so its pretty inconvenient 2. The bouncers and the ladies up front definitely need an attitude check Apart from that I had a really good time. Well probably because I was drunk too.

The absolute worst experience ever. Don't buy any tickets online. I bought tickets to an event online hosted by Cherry Discotheque. When I reached, I saw a massive queue for everyone regardless of whether you already had a valid ticket or not. People tried to push there way into the front of the queue and when we asked the staff about why the queue wasn't moving along, the guy at the door smirked and said that the delay was because they are checking everyone's ID thoroughly. I pointed out that as of the past 15 minutes, there was no one at the queue to check the ID. He merely smirked saying 'they're trying their best'. They refused refunds to anyone wanting to leave the queue. And at one point, they just stopped letting anyone in at all.

A slim, Chinese bouncer ( flat-top ish, a little midway parted hair) had asked for my IC. I complied in friendly gesture, he reaffirmed for my IC no. and Postal Code to authenticate if my IC was legitimate. I complied of course. Once done, I asked him if we’re good, to which he responded in a very hooligan-like manner “Why, you got problem with me asking you for your IC is it?!!”. This is really a rude, unfair and pathetic standard of service to offer to patrons, does the management not train its bouncers on the tone of language to keep around patrons? Before I could answer any further, he blurted “Watch your words”. Is this the degree of professionalism that’s exercised by management? To make their bouncers speak like hooligans to their patrons? I come from an enforcement agency that similarly deals with protection service, security and crowd management and we’re trained to uphold a very strict degree of professionalism when dealing with notorious crowds. Why must this bouncer speak to me in this crass tone when I’ve been nothing but cooperative in friendly gesture? Very pathetic, hope action will be taken against this. If I were to visit Cherrys again and spectate such barbaric service from the described bouncer again… then I’ll be taking a higher degree of action against this

Bouncers weren't all that bad, got in smoothly. Sound system was p good and atmosphere and people was good. Songs were somewhat repetitive but they were good as well.
