It's been four decades since they first opened and I remembered coming here since I was a kid. Through the years they passed through many phases and brought back many memories. Today though it is an aging mall, it is still an old favourite with many interesting stores and good eats. More than half of the stores are fashion, hairstyling and nails. Though it's also becoming sort of a used luxury items and watches hub. Be careful if you're out shopping for used luxury watches, a bit of due diligence and you will see some of the watch stores had bad reviews or press. Just be sure you know what you are buying. Food wise, the ayam penyet, Thai food Nana and Krapow, Nanbantei, and the Chicken Rice you can't go wrong.

The plaza is dated but there are interesting and cheap restaurants and shops inside. Hidden gem!

My recent visit to Far East Plaza was a shopping adventure that had its highs and lows. On the positive side, I stumbled upon Hidden Treasures, a quirky vintage store tucked away on the upper floors. The unique finds there were a pleasant surprise. Additionally, the array of streetwear stores on the lower levels catered to diverse tastes. However, the labyrinthine layout of the mall made locating specific shops, like Premier Games, a bit of a challenge. The service at Hidden Treasures was fantastic – the staff offered insights into their eclectic collection. On the flip side, the dated appearance of some sections of the mall was a bit underwhelming. The food court, however, was a saving grace, offering a variety of delicious options. Despite the maze-like layout, Far East Plaza is a treasure trove for those willing to explore its nooks and crannies.

Hard truth about this mall, 50% of the shop weren’t open on a Sunday evening. Business had been tough with the pandemic.

This is the mall to go to if you want to do your hair, nails or get tattoos! Come find us at #05-60 if you want a tattoo! :) There’s plenty of good food in this mall as well and it’s conveniently located in the heart of the world renowned Orchard Road shopping district, Orchard MRT is only a 5min walk away. There’s basement as well as multi-storey parking that’s linked to the mall by bridge on the 2nd & 5th floor. Mon-Sat parking costs $1.62 for the 1st hr and $1.62 for subsequent half hrs. $3.56 per entry after 6pm. Sun & public holidays $4.10 for the 1st 3hrs then $1.62 every half hrs.

I've been here during the 80s and returning back here after 30 years brings back a lot of fond memories. It feels like time has stood still in this mall. For the ladies, you can't go wrong with the fashion, nail parlours, lash bars and hair salons. Food lovers, you can't go wrong with Cahaya, Hainanese Delicacy, Nana Thai, Susan Chan and the many other yummy zi chars. There are also many bespoke tailors and alteration shops as well.

An old shopping mall pass it's prime that's just off to the side of the orchard shopping belt. A mall that was very popular in the 70s and 80s that has seen better days. It's need to find a niche and reposition it. Currently, the upper levels are mostly hair and beauty salons with some massage shops thrown in. Basement 1 has a jumping gym and a mix of food and small retailers not found at other locations. The Mall also have some cheap and good restaurants though. Good to drop by for a short walk if you want to see something different from the current orchard shopping belt.

The mall is run down and has not really found its footing in the new era of shopping and food. There are some loyal patrons to this place because there are food stalls that have some good offerings. I personally go because Michelle Alteration (on the 2nd floor) is a reliable seamstress. Other than that, I would not really visit this mall.

A walk down memory lane coming to Far East Plaza, having been here often as a schoolboy. Awesome to know some of the outlets are still around like the chicken rice restaurant upstairs! Lots of affordable and competitively priced options for fashion, hair, and nail care here. Eatery options aplenty too. Short walking distance away from Orchard MRT only!

Have been to this shopping mall for several years since mid 2010s, they have wide range of food outlets and all are affordable. Please keep up the great work 🙏one dessert store which I like has closed down, hope that more range and variety of dessert store can open in this mall

I have not been here for a few years now. It is so different from the last time I was there. Now there are many eateries on the basement floor. There are also other eateries on the 4th and 5th floors.

As a frequent visitor in Singapore, this used to be my go-to place during my youth. Used to shop a lot at this mall. To name a few, Pescados, Inokii, Leftfoot, Rastafari, 77th Street, Cahaya restaurant. Brought along my wife and son last year. Quite saddening that most of the shops were either closed or relocated after covid.

Beautiful new salon Shen.Spa Hair Studio @ #03-15. Really good in doing hair colour, serve by the master stylist Winson. Their unique hair spa and scalp treatment effectively stop my itchy scalp due to work from home. Its really cheaper option compare to going those hard selling hair treatment salon. They are not sales person, the session is enjoyable. The boss Amy is also very chat-able (almost forget to go home). Definately will visit again.👍

This mall is located beside Goodwood Hotel and provide a wide ranges of service treatments like body massage, eye lashes extension, manicure, hair services between level #2 - #5. Pricings are rather competitive and you will be spoilt for choices. You will also be able to find some unique sneakers / fashion labels too. Restaurants / eateries are located at #1 and #5. Being an older mall than most, ventilation is quite poor, be prepared to smell like food if you head up to #5.

Almost fainted when I enter the washroom in Far East plaza. On a Saturday I invited friends from overseas to have sushi in a Japanese restaurant in 4th floor ,when we want to use the washroom , we found that not even a room have any toilet paper, n one of the bowls had Poop everywhere 🙄 Worse than a hawker public toilets so sad Older malls have to keep up or will lose customers

Great place to have a self-pampering day. Many beauty salons offering hair services, manipedi, tattooing, massage, clothes, 2nd hand luxury watches/jewellery and also food. There's also a Korean and local supermarket in the basement.

Oh my dear lord. What is this place??? Where has the hip and happening mall disappeared to? The one that used to be home to 77th street and the coolest tattoo parlours? Mind blown right out of this planet at the vast changes that have taken place. Heartbroken too.

Parking is $4.10 for the first 3 hours on Sunday, which is quite a good price in the heart of orchard. It might look quite dated but there are plenty of quality small businesses with a loyal customer base through the years. Toilets are clean, and there’re plenty of delicious eateries and restaurants tucked in the nooks and crannies of the mall.

My Go To mall for all things ‘used wrist watch’ ⌚️ in the passing 3 plus years - especially Kim Watch on the 3rd level, as well as nice Japanese food, Turkish food (authentic and yummy) and of course clothes alteration.

Quite a place that had been remade and catering to those creative soul who wants to be different or wants to have their unique street wear. Here is where the hat, the costume and the props can be found and if not designed one and get it made. Wonderful place. At one time, it feels like the fifth avenue of some part of America, or was it New York? It skip my mind. O yes, a lot of local food here too especially at the basement corners and nooks. Explore and no expectation would be the best way to enjoy this mall that had been through little changes since it was first built. Stay cool and true.

Quite old shopping Mall in Singapore. Located near Orchard MRT Station. There are lot of fashion-related tenants in this mall. Even if there are quite a little activities you want to do here, at least it's pretty good for sight-seeing.

  • 4/5 Julie B. 4 years ago on Google
This is a local mall, with lots of eateries downstairs, serving reasonable quality local food at low prices, which was perfectly acceptable. On the upper floors, there is a good variety of 'normal' shops - not the designer shops you'll find on Orchard. It's worth noting that many of the shops don't open until around 11am in the morning, however the food outlets are open for breakfast.

Addition is over A mysterious shopping mall. Next to Grand Hyatt, York Hotel, Elizabeth Hotel, Goodwood Park Hotel, and the nearest mall. When I came to Singapore to prepare for my post, my impression when I stayed with my son at the Elizabeth Hotel was 02 "There are 7-Eleven and KFC, but the local atmosphere is too strong and it's a bit difficult to enter." It was raining and I entered the rain shelter and was amazed. A nice gallery in a deserted atmosphere where shutters at empty stores close. If you enter, it may be a good old shopping mall with a local atmosphere. Currently (Aug 2020) there is a Christianity themed art exhibition with Dianne Minnaar's works on display at Far East Plaza level 1 which you can check out. Really beautiful art. There are nice food, fashion and salons at Far East Plaza but I find it frustrating that the escalators at the overhead bridge are frequently not working.

Long ago this was where the hip kids used to hang back in the early 2,000's. There were cool fashion shops that sold bacgs, clothes, shoes at affordable prices. Now there are more hairdressing shops, bridal shops, massage shops where only one of them is the best (Massage Lah). Food is good but you have to come earlier in the day so you can enjoy the foods they offer before the close earlier on weekdays around 9pm due to Covid-19. There are luxury watch shops and bag shops around that sell prepowned and new watches and bags. But you have to look around at their wares.

It's your classic Sunday hangout spot for many Filipinos, helpers or otherwise. As a result, you also get a fair bit of Bangladeshi workers who hope to get some action here. Genre of shops can get a little messy, given the nature of the crowd as well. Food options though, is very good. You get really good Filipino (and surprisingly good Indonesian) food here. Just try to avoid the Sunday crowds.

The shopping mall is located not far from the Orchard MRT, and there’s a lot of cheap food (mostly at level 5). There’s also a lot of good massage places here. But I was just hoping the management would improve the mall’s toilet facilities. Each of the toilet cubicle should have a bidet spray in it so it’s more convenient and comfortable for patrons of the mall(and I prefer using bidet spray). Really need to improve.

i went to far east plaza for the first time today, went to a store called “e beauty” on level 3, was attended by a very rude staff prompting me to get items and trying to bargain with me. when i told her i just wanted to look around she would be visibly angry and annoyed. this was just at the entrance so i didn’t even bother to go and check out her other things. i’m honestly not one to complain at all but this kind of service was uncalled for honestly. i get times are tough and there are probably close to no sales at a mall like this one, but as a sales person, you need to be friendly? i’m working customer service as well and i’d never do that. on the other hand, went to another store called “casuale” and was attended by a very nice old lady who didn’t try and force sales on me, but instead let me browse through her items and assisted me when i asked for help. ladies should go shop there! definitely going back to her again!

After a year after my last visit, I notice a few shops are closed for good. Sad to say, this place has turn quieter then 2 or 3 years ago.

One of the cheapest carparks in Scotts and Orchard area. Park here and take a short walk to the big shopping centres like Ion, Wilma Atria, Wheelock, Takashimaya. Can get very crowded during major event days.

Had my lunch at Pondok Jawa Timur, Indonesian cuisine. Decent food and price. Fareast plaza is becoming very quiet. A lot of stores are closed.

Many restaurants and shops here. In the holiday, many foreign workers rest near here.

Being there for a quick dinner, the mall posseses full of nice restaurants for such casual bites. Might return one day to test other restaurants as Amazing Thai was tried for this evening.

It's a really old mall but I'm surprised to see some galleries, of both secular and religious themes, set up by Far East for the patrons of the mall. I believe it'll be a nice little attraction that's free of charge for all members of the public to enjoy while they are there. Took some videos but cannot be attached here

Been coming here whenever we visit family since I was very small! If there’s something you need for a good price, you’re likely to find it somewhere here! I love the array of both food and retail outlets. The fact that it’s barely changed since I can remember (early ‘90s) means it could use a bit of sprucing up but it’s otherwise a great alternative for those of us who can’t afford the higher end shops along Orchard!

Frankly, many shops have closed but those that are still here have cult followings. Be prepared to queue during peak hours. New F&B outlets opening here amidst the old ones too. Many small local businesses and many new local entrepreneurs who provide great service and need our support. Many many good cafes and eateries at amazing prices for a mall in Orchard.

This mall has been around for years and things have changed a lot for this mall. Now the mall has many small boutique shops that sell dresses, resale watches, resale luxury handbags and restaurants in the basement. On Sunday, not all the shops here are open so the best time to visit is Monday to Saturday.

old school mall that reminds me of my childhood!still haven’t explored it properly as we only head to a few eateries like KFC and 7-11, and fortune wigs store and a hair+make-up shop, but who knows, maybe we’ll stumble across a hidden gem within the maze of shops soon! ridiculously difficult to navigate and most shops aren’t interesting but that’s all part of its charm.

This is the best place for beauty.... nails, hair, eyelashes, massage, clothing. Coco nails is my personal favorite but there is a place for everyone. They have very competitive prices for very competitive quality of work.

poor management. Signage so misleading. Was wheel clamped for $108. Please avoid as the first carpark you see does not allowed motorcycles to park and no clear instruction on where is the other carpark for motorcycles. So I look to my right which is the rubbish chute and see there is many motorcycles parking there and decided to park my vehicle at the "motorcycle parking" . But I was the only one who was clamped. Their malaysian bike park at non designated parking but was not wheel clamped. Security claim that "malaysian bike" is "special priority" as the person is working there. Unfair and is cheating the public of $108 even scratched my rims. Please avoid. Thank you very much.
