Well to begin with the wait time was 20 minutes. I called in to check if reservation was possible. They replied that there was no reservation and it was best to walk in & wait. Food was good without doubt 👍. Service was good 👍 The ordered Food was served pretty quickly 👍 I only later realised that this outlet is slightly more expensive than other outlets. And the xiaolongbao's were 8 (other outlets serve 10).

Service at this outlet has a lot of room for improvement compared to other DTF outlets. The non-local manager was curt, and doesn’t seem to know how to prioritise guest needs. We even had to distribute our own utensils…. Portion of the appetiser has also greatly shrunk… Would recommend visiting other outlets instead.

Din Tai Fung is one of my grandchildren's favourite restaurants. They always finish their food whenever we visit our order in. Some of their favourite dishes are the shrimp and egg fried rice, dry plain noodles (干捞面), taro (yam) xiao long bao and prawn pancake. The adults also enjoy the drunken chicken and appetiser salad very much. Service is attentive and the place is cosy and clean.

We always visited this chain restaurant when we were in Singapore. Service was efficient, but could be friendlier. Portion sizes tend to be small, so plan accordingly. For two people, we ordered 3 appetizers (crispy golden prawn pancake was my favorite), one veggie dish (pea shoots with garlic), some steam pork dumplings, and a braised beef noodle soup. All very tasty, though the noodle soup base was a bit bland. The only alcoholic drinks available were two types of beers and they were expensive. With a beer and an ice tea, the total bill was more than SGD$100. Can't say we were very full, but we did enjoy the lunch.

Nothing can go wrong with Din Tai Fung. But I feel the price has increased significantly. I like this outlet as we get an overview of orchard road, however it is really tiny though. So go early as it got super crowded at 5:30pm.

We always love the food at DTF. Came to this outlet for the first time. Very nice view of the Orchard road from the seats by window. The staff is as usual very nice. We ordered egg fried rice, chicken Shao long Bao and vegetarian dumplings.

The same great food with a view for a change ! Located in Wisma Atria L4 adjacent to the Food Republic food court . Managed to get a window side table for enjoying the lovely orchard road view whilst enjoying a relaxed lunch ! One noticeable difference with the Xiao Long Bao was the thinner skin and freshness that was prevalent till 5-6 years back! As off late had observed the skin was thicker perhaps for easier handling of the dumplings! It also may be due to the better skill of the chef here and hence this branch is more recommended! If it’s your 1st time allow the dumplings to cool down a minute or so to avoid burning your tongue from the hot soup inside ! The shrimp omelette also tastes great ! Instead of water , better to take a Yasmine tea or other house pour with endless top ups ! The nice experience we keep coming back for !

Our second visit in just as many days, Mr G and I enjoyed a few new dishes at this location including the steamed baby bok choy and steamed taro buns. We had to re-indulge in the sticky rice red bean filled dessert-knowing that it has about a 25 minute preparation time, leisurely enjoying a few dishes is well worth the wait. Another enjoyable experience with attentive service to refilling water and refreshing the teapot.

I always eat at Din Tai Fung whenever I visit Singapore. Quality food, although the service was a bit lacking during our visit. Understandable though, ‘coz the place was packed when we had lunch there.

Dumpling is the main reason you should come here for. Not only you taste one of the best ones here , but also to see and enjoy the process of making it. You can watch the precision with which these are made in their see through kitchen ( every dumpling is weighed and kept in a specific way on top of a geyser of steam )

The Xiao Long Bao (pork) is the star. All other dishes are good as well. We came at 1.30pm so didn’t have to queue long. The staffs are nice

To start with, the service was top notch, everything was delivered earlier than expected. Spacious place and friendly service. The food was really good. We got the pork and shrimp dumplings and it was super juicy and tasty. The vegetarian dumpling was nice not the best. The Bao buns were super soft and warm. Do try their sesame seed bao bun (sweet), really surprised me.

Amazing place with absolutely authentic chinese dimsums ... A long queue always for getting in the restaurant but worth the wait..

Had been a regular of DTF, never again, the xlb shrinked in size and the portion of meat was laughable, look at the photo. Service was bad too. The portion was so small. $6.80 (×1.19) for a few pieces of gluten was unacceptable. For 4 adult, a 5yo and a 1yo = $200+ is insane, I can eat steamboat for the same price already.

Always a returning customer as I get random cravings for xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) and wantons in chilli oil!

The foods are delicious. Too bad the sour soup is no more when we order. Fried rice is a must order. Noodle soup is quite light and not flavourful.

This is the 9th din tai fung I’ve visited out of 15 in Singapore. This location is one of the smaller ones but has a good view of the famous orchard road if you manage to get one of the few window table. Overall it’s up to din tai fung standard but still missing a few dishes like most dtf in Singapore (e.g drunken chicken).

Always love their XLB! Spicy noodles was good too. Fried rice is so so for me. All in all it was a good experience dining at DTF Wisma branch!

  • 4/5 Jo Anne L. 2 years ago on Google
I am a fan of DTF; unfortunately yesterday’s meal at the Wisma outlet was a little disappointing. The 4 star is for the taste of the food, however the portion of the dishes are getting smaller and smaller. Go only for the dumplings, you cannot go wrong.

Friendly and good service from the staff as usual. No complaints on the quality of the food - ordered the standard pork chop fried rice, xiao cai and xiao long bao. If my memory serves me right the XLB used to be 10 instead of 8 now. Overall recommended!

  • 4/5 Elango B. 2 years ago on Google
All time favourite, Orchard road place is slightly expensive and less quantity compared to other locations. For example 8 dumplings instead of 10 and Lemon grass costs 5.50 instead of 4.50 in other locations. Taste wise, heavenly!!!

Good food as usual. Love the pork chop with fried rice, the xiao long baos, wantons and dumplings. A bit of queue always to get in but service is very efficient once seated.

Waited more than half an hour from point of order confirmation with waiter till the moment my food arrived. Evident on the receipt and time shown on watch in photo. Ordered the egg fried rice because I heard good things abt DTF fried rice. It's either lies or the chef lost his taste from covid. It's the oiliest fried rice I had in my life which still somehow managed to taste disgustingly bland. Did they run out of sauces, msg and salt?! The $4 fried rice at the hawker tastes 10x better. I honestly don't know how it could take this long to prepare such a pathetic dish esp when they forecasted under 20mins and the table next to mine (6pax) got served dish after dish though they ordered abt the same time as me. This outcome is frankly my worst food decision ever. Bonus: I explicitly indicated no onions, garlic or spring onions yet they left me some lovely souvenirs as an additional reminder of their incompetence in case the foul aftertaste of their fried rice wasn't upsetting enough.

Good service amd food. Xiao long baos are a classic must-get. First time trying the suan la mian here, was pleasantly surprised as the sourness doesn't overpower the taste of the noodles. The flavours pair quite well and complement each other.
