Many nice, wonderful food stalls . This old hawker center is one of the good ones . Especially the hokkien mee. Parking may be a bit difficult, especially during the weekend. However if you don't mind walking a distance, there are many carpark further away . ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Went on a weekday evening and was quite tough getting a place to sit. Very packed but of course there's a reason, GOOD FOOD! We tried e popular hokkien mee there. I personally loved e ngoh hiang, with the chili matching perfectly. Sugarcane juice was fresh and good too! Need to try out at more stalls and have a taste of everything!

Excellent place for food hunter, with hundreds of stalls selling Singaporean local food. Most of them are very reasonable in price, with good quality. Chicken rice and carrot cake is must try.

Lots of local fare in this neighborhood food court. There is usually a long line for the popular street food stalls.

Recommending one of the mala stall at Whampoa market. This stall offers ๆฐด็…ฎ็‰›่‚‰ at $12 but I requested and swapped it for pork. Very very big portion. the photo only show probably 3/4 of the original portion as we were too excited to try before we took a photo. I added the beancurd thingy / ่ฑ†็šฎ and it was only $1 and they gave a lot! There is black fungus, Korean bean sprouts, cabbages and truckload of pork I also added their ่พฃๅญ้ธก which is currently on promotion at $7. Not sure if you can tell from the photos, but the portion were really huge. And both dishes were tasty! The ่พฃๅญ้ธก were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Itโ€™s not spicy and the peanuts in it were also crunchy and adds fragrant to this dish. This 2 dishes only $20! Strongly recommend this stall โ€”value for money!

A lot great food for breakfast and lunch at Whampoa Hawker Centre. They have 2 sections of Hawker Centre. One section near to Wet market is selling breakfast and all the stalls are closed at 2pm. The other section is mainly for lunch and dinner. Strongly recommended the Braised Duck rice for lunch. Queue starts forming around 10am. For Breakfast, can try the Lor Mee, Wanton Noodles, Malay Food, Prawns Noodles. Expected to Queue at least 30min before you can get your food. A gem place to visit.

This part of the Whampoa hawker centre operates mainly in the morning with stalls opening as early as 6+am and most stalls will close by 2pm. The most popular stalls are the mee hoon kueh, lor mee, fishball noodles, chicken rice and prawn noodle stalls. The hawker centre has been operating for decades and is clearly due for a proper upgrade

Itโ€™s not an extraordinary food centre with plenty of food choices but you somehow feel its sufficient and suits the needs of every local foodie, especially for the breakfast and brunch hunters. Can never go wrong with soya bean milk, fresh carrot cake, you tiao, economic fried bee hoon, chee cheong fun, porridge and wanton mee. Not all of them are famous brand stalls but to be honest the quality is there. Itโ€™s mostly spacious and quite easy to locate seats. Environment is clean with good air ventilation as well. Wet market is just adjacent to the food centre. Carpark has limited lots and rather crammed. Parking at the opposite hdb will make more sense.

Cheap and good food! One of the best hawkers I like to visit. 91 is the block where you get most of the morning stalls and you have to be there really early as most stalls can close before noon! Don't know what to order? Just look at the long queues which will guide you to the famous stalls. The usual good ones are the noodle stalls. My favourite? The lor mee and the Whampoa Bean Curd.

One of the few remaining old school large hawker centres in Singapore. Many many stores serving a huge variety of local food, spanning across two buildings. Most of the famous stores that other reviewers had mentioned are in one of the building (nearer to the wet market). Store are generally divided into two categories: Those serving breakfast and lunch, and those serving dinner and supper until late. In today's visit, I tried the Teochew minced pork noodles and the carrot cake. Both are really very good =) I will definitely come again to try the other stores! Ambience: clean and well ventilated. Parking: limited. Consider parking at the HDB multi-storey carpark across the road.

Date of visit: 19 Feb 2022 Time of visit: 0630pm Name of store: How Hup BBQ Seafood What we ordered: Stingray and sambal kangkong and 2x rice Total damage: 31.00S$ Payment: Cash and digital payment How: You find your own seat, you order, you pay, you wait, they serve, you eat, you clear and go. Taste: If you prefer ๅคฉๅ…ฌ้ฅญ, then this is the place. If you prefer your large stingray to be relatively small, then this is the place. If you prefer your sambal kangkong to taste like ็•ช่–ฏๅถ, then this is the place. If you prefer your chopstick to be roughly place on the table, then this is the place. Will eat again: No.

Well, this is another old school hawker centre located at Whampoa drive. A stone throw away from moulmien/Balestier area. Should come often if I could to explore. At this moment, I can't tell really much of the overall view of this place but I like it already.

No frills, affordable hawker food. Seating is cramped and warm. But the place has a good range of local items.

Nice, good, cheap and still crowded at night. It has 2 blocks where 1 block caters mostly day time customers while the other block opens till around 9pm-10pm.

Chanced upon this Korean stall and ordered the pork Kimchi noodle.. the broth is so thick, which I never tasted before in other stalls, which are usually watery. The pork is all lean meats, which is so healthy for me. Really love it.. Can't wait to go again.

It was so fun eating and getting to know this local hawker centre! The first building is a mix of wet market and food stalls whilst the building at the back is mostly food stalls. You will have a great variety of cheap great tasting food!!!

Superb fruit juice at an affordable $3 (really a steal)! He emptied an entire passionfruit in this along with an orange and apple. Cheapest mix I've found so far, and generous with the portion!

Actually Whampoa Food Center and Whampoa Makan Place are 2 separate blocks but since they look the same and are next to each other, collectively they are known as Whampoa Food Center. With at least 2 Singapore 2021 Michelin Bib Guide stalls located here, you need to take your time to try them out. Most famous stall is the Balestier Road Hoover Rojak with its viscous shrimp sauce laden & crushed peanuts, with Huat Heng Fried Oyster and Hi Leksmi Nasi Lemak another 2 stalls that have queues.

Xin Heng Feng Guo Tiao Tan (Fish Steamboat) ๆ–ฐๆ†่ฑ็ฒฟๆกๆ‘Š, my favourite go to for Fish Steamboat in the evening. Fish is very fresh, soup and the side dishes are very delicious. Very affordable! Must try if you haven't! It is the only food stall open in that hawker, closes on Tuesday!

Good place to eat some braised duck rice with egg, tau kwa, liver and gizzard. However, I think the stall at East coast lagoon village is much better!

Very neat and clean hawker Center. As it is Labour Day, not many stalls are open today. Saw this beverage stall with long stream of people queuing so I ordered a cup of Kopi O at $1. Kopi O taste good with no aftertaste of bitterness!
