Summary: Poor service quality, understaffed, and slow food delivery to table. Details: We ordered at 12.05 pm when there was only about 2 other tables seated at the time. We did not receive our food until 12.45 pm and that was after the tables who ordered at the same time and tables who arrived AFTER us (by 10 or so minutes) received their food and have already been eating for at least 15 minutes. Mind you this is during working lunch hour, so I did not have all the time in the world. When I was asking for follow-ups and updates, they said they would check and proceeded to do anything else BUT check and, needless to say, I did not receive any updates during the 4 times I requested for an updates / follow-up. When the manager (I assume), was confronted, I was given a lazy excuse of COVID restrictions or something along those lines. When I raised the sequence of which my order came in, he claimed that "the kitchen has their own sequence one". I suppose the assumption of First-In / First-Out with regards to food orders doesn't apply to this establishment (More like First-In / Last-Out). I had my food taken away thereafter. The positive reviews here are either old / anecdotal. Either ways, I believe that the positive reviews, which sent me here in the first place, are not representative of the actual quality and delivery of this establishment. This is based solely on my experience.

Back after a few years not in CBD, eatscape around here changed but Il Fiore is still going strong with great food. Keep going please!

I eat carbonara here. The service is the best. Really fast and helpful. I ordered carbonara, and for me the taste is okay, however the escargot here is kind of good.

Back to this basement restaurant after a span of more than 10 years. Don't be fooled by the Italian name - they also serve popular and familiar Asian/Local familiar favourites. Our group did a order of variety for sharing: oyster egg omelette, deep fried chicken Wing, deep fried meet chucks, calamari, fried hokkien prawn mee, fried rice with prawns, boiled dumpling and beed steak (medium well). The food was very tasty and the service was friendly and responsive. The only drawback is that it was very noisy given the low ceiling basement so its not a place to really talk and catch up. But the food and the great company more than made up for this noise factor. Had lunch with 2 long time friends. The food is great. Upgrade to 5 stars. Only the noise level got to use to.

I've been coming here for lunch for a while! Honestly, the chef cooks up some pretty good local dishes. It's a restaurant so it's gonna be pricy. About 18 to 22 bucks per portion. But makes for a nice corporate lunch spot. Service staff are very attentive and food comes out pretty fast.

Was rather busy eating (haven't eat out for a while) and only managed to captured 1 photo of the pizza which I have already took a bite. The service staff are pretty attentive. The pasta was so so but the fried bee hoon was really good. The pizza crust is thin and fairly flavorful. Heard that their other local dishes are good. I'll be back to try them.

This restaurant is kind of hidden underground via a stairway outside the building... The atmosphere is nice and cozy, food was great and they served alcohol as well.

Always too dark! But I suspect that's the reason why everybody keeps coming back. Great food and good conversations, and sometimes gets too noisy so you have to raise your voice just like everyone else.

Commonly known as the dungeon. Love the food here. They have the best chicken wings and pig leg beehoon. And their service is top notch. You will never find a used tissue or food on the table. They clear it immediately when they see it. And the best part is they recognises customers and bother to remember the “usual” orders.

Friendly staff, nice food and comfortable seats. There are a lot of regulars as it has been around for a long time. The prices are normal CBD prices, which means around SGD 20+ for mains per person. They mainly serve Italian and Singaporean food. They also have coffee. Depending on supply, they sometimes have tiramisu. For Singaporean dishes, the fried Hokkien mee and grilled chicken chop with fried rice is not bad and quite filling for 1 person.

Good zichar carbs and drinks are aplenty. Well trained staff. The pig trotters bee hoon is shiok :) Been here over a few years, Dungeon is always memorable.

Pretty good restaurant in the hidden basement of the building. Great service and cosy dining. The recommendations are accurate that the local food is the way to go although I didn’t think the fried rice with pork belly was necessarily worth $16. Maybe it’s the CBD pricing. Tasty and homely.

If you order the Draft Suntory beer, it comes in frozen mug which is so good. The Italian food are decent but the wagyu beef fried rice is to-die-for and the Asian selection are all surprisingly really good - oyster omelette, chicken wings, oyakodon, beef hor fun. The place can be a bit cramped and loud, though, but it adds to the atmosphere of CBD office workers letting loose during their break time.

Quirky place that is set up just like a regular Italian restaurant but the majority of diners are there for its Asian menu! I really enjoyed the Hokkien Prawn Noodles!

Nice local food. Friendly waitresses. Can be noisy so not suitable for conversations unless talk loudly. No byo corkage policy.

For such a cosy and packed restaurant, the service is excellent. Not just in terms of accuracy and speed but also very observant and with those little touches of unasked service which set a restaurant apart.

Aircon in new place is very strong and slightly pricey. But food generally damn good service very friendly and on point. My favorite place for a drink and food in Shenton.
