The number of taps available here is amazing - 32! The prices range from $15 to $30++ a pint, which is expensive even with 15% discount during Happy Hour (there are daily promotions too). The extraordinary prices were not justified by the non-existent service (to charge 10%, the least you can do is make the customer feel welcome instead of just collecting money and putting the beer on the table), average ambience (nothing to see here, just four walls) and poor location.

Relaxed taproom with food. Ambiance is very chill. Cash & credit cards accepted. Good selection of beers on tap as well as wine and hard cider. I enjoyed the Thatcher Katy Cider. It paired well with their basic cheeseburger which is served with french fries. Fries are crisp, thin and salted perfectly. The bun (potato bread) was very nice. The burger was very firm and the cheese was appreciated. There was nothing else on the burger though except a bit of ketchup. It didn't necessarily *need* anything more (maybe some onion would have been nice) - the flavor was very good. Just surprised at the barebones approach. Their pizzas look delicious and are definitely large enough for sharing. Our server wasn't particularly friendly or engaging but she was quick and accurate which is definitely a good substitute!

With an extensive selection of draft beers, ranging from light lagers to robust ales, this place ensures a diverse offering that caters to a variety of taste preferences. The atmosphere is not just relaxed but also exudes a laid-back charm, creating the perfect backdrop for an enjoyable dining experience. The lunch menu, a culinary masterpiece in itself, impresses with its wide array of food options. From savory delights to delectable treats, there's something to please every palate. The richness of variety spans across different cuisines, making it a haven for food enthusiasts. What's even better is the affordability factor, as this delightful experience comes at a wallet-friendly price point of just $12.

It's a quiet den with a huge selection of beers. Seems like lager is limited and mostly IPA. Interior has a cool furnish that is very inviting and comfy. Aircon is strong and staff has friendly service. The wings are not the best but acceptable

Came here on a Tuesday evening where they had the $10 cheeseburger promotion and a 1-1 fries promotion! Ordered the cheeseburger, truffle fries, cheese fries, and the smoked duck pizza The food was generally not too bad! Cheeseburger was tasty and beefy. Fries were good. Pizza was cheesy and the duck was tender! Beer was good too!

Quite a hidden location due to the renovation of the area, nice place the ambience was alright with a good selection of beer and the food is surprisingly yummy I tried all the wings flavour, Buffalo wings is not bad, but more vinegar than spicy, the garlic butter is really nice, the Diablo is flavourful and spicy.

Unassuming pub or taproom as they call it at Waterloo centre - with 32 different variants and each tap visible from the shop floor. Rather pricey for a pint, >$10 even during happy hours, but it’s a decent selection and probably fun to come by and try each of them out given it’s all rather different. Ice lemon tea though is from the can itself and was charged $8 for it.. based on this alone I’m dropping it to a 3 star ⭐️, should fall under can drinks for $5 at the maximum imo.

The place is quite bland, the service okay. The choices for beers are nice, the sizes questionable. We ordered pints for quite a few choices and got glasses that were 2/3 filled. The food is okay, mediocre/normal bar fare. Ironically we opened a few bags of snacks/popcorn AFTER the kitchen closed. We got scolded and informed about a "No outside food policy". Sooo, after we bought a bunch of food from this place, ordered a ton of drinks..? We aren't allowed to have popcorn. Horrible place. Go elsewhere.

A lot of option for the alcohol here, local Singapore or even UK/US style. One of the best pub around famous location in Singapore. Little bit hidden but it was a great experience to have drink here. All crew recommend a good drink.

It may be called American Taproom; but it is this Australian’s Playroom. With a hefty selection of 40 beers on tap, claimed to be Singapore’s largest selection, this is a beer drinker’s dream (their menu is QR-coded to unTappd). Food consists of burgers, wings and pizzas - and what better way to soak up all the booze than with some classic American fare. The staff here are attentive, super-friendly, and will help you out with a cheeky taste-test if you are having difficulty choosing a beer…

Very sweet staff like terence to recommend us on which beer to have and all. Really appreciate the service there. Knowledgeable about the beers etc. Diablo wings could be spicier. Expected more for a 5 flame hotness on the menu. All is great! Would def be back. Of cos I love their sour beers!

Burgers are great. Too many choices of beers so need to go back and try them all. Happy hours all day on Sunday! Not too noisy so it is good for chatting with friends.

Be it beer or food, you are in good hands at American Taproom! Massive wall of taps and always greeted with a smile. They have another branch at Geylang too if you want to be slightly further eastwards!

Would not recommend coming here at 11pm, even if it’s an hour to closing. They immediately told me that they were closed, and when I looked shocked, asked if I was okay with a plastic cup. I agreed and paid right away, but they still came up to me twice and told me they were closing in 30 minutes and in 5 minutes (at 11:47!). I just wanted to relax with one beer to end the night. Is that too much to ask… Beer was your typical craft beer and cost over $22 with service charge and GST. I ordered #18 Gosnells, but not sure why the bill states otherwise. Noticed as well that the bill says 23:30, but I was already at my table with my beer before 23:17 (third photo).

Came here on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm as I had to find a place to kill time before a flight. Place wasn't busy - the shop is located in an alley way with a dark atmosphere. Ordered a beer and the truffle fries - the beer was ok but the fries were not so good... Very oily and think they forgot to add salt. 30 beers on tap was nice. Beers ranging from 12 to 25 sdg a pint..... Overall it wasn't bad nor great.

Excellent choices for beer, and at good promotions too. The range of beers available is astounding, from your normal light beers to more exotic brews like milk stout, each one distinct and unique. The atmosphere is nice and chill, perfect for a catch up with friends. Unfortunately the food was nothing to rave about; but then again who goes to a taproom and expect gourmet bites, right? Choose the pepperoni pizza to accompany your beer.

Deep options for proper tap beers in a casual, tucked-away locale. The furnishings are casual but not too Spartan and the staff are approachable and know their beers. Be prepared to spend a little time reading one of the two massive signboards which list the full range; it's impressive. Pricing is somewhat steep - it seems to average ~$16 SGD for a US pint (473ml) which is ~11 USD, but plenty are more than that. There are often some decent Happy Hour discounts which change day-to-day, but ultimately this isn't a place to go for cheap drinks. It's a tucked away place to sample interesting IPAs, Pale Ales, and even Mead from around the world. Perfect for beer aficionados. Bonus points for the Moser wall-clock.

  • 4/5 Melissa W. 4 years ago on Google
30 different beers on tap than you can see with untapped app. Unfortunately prices extremely high for us Canadians but probably normal for Singapore’s . Also their pint sizes are defiantly smaller than ours, they don’t fill the glass completely either..

60+ varieties of craft beers and amazing crowd (largely from SMU and the offices around) enables a great experience. On top of that I loved the ambience and decor - cozy, simple, American style. If u r around bras brasah and plan to grab a drink or few with your colleagues or friends, this will be a great choice.

Beers are a little pricey but they taste good. I will be returning. The food here is also quite nice. it's a quiet place. Perfect for a date. I would say the bar tenders are quite knowledgeable and can help you find a beer you will like.

Writing this while here at the atp. So far a pretty good lunchtime experience. This is my first time here and as an American at the American tap room I feel as though I have unreasonably high standards. Let’s start with the good. Food and beer. Now I know what you’re thinking, Jason, if both the food and beer were good, why only 4 and not 5 stars. I’ll get there. Firstly, I got a burger, and of course I should, it’s AMERICAN tap house. It was great. A nice medium rare, no stupid frilly stuff so many Asian places put on, no fillers in the meat, just a good old fashioned burger. Beer was good, though I’m positive either the bartender gave me the wrong first beer or blasta brewery doesn’t know what the heck a neipa is. No worries, I got it at the lunchtime rate, as well as my next beer which was a dechutes hazy neipa, solid beer. All good so far. The cons Two things stand out. 1 . The bartender was friendly, but did not seem to know anything about beer, also he seemed to be pre occupied with both the female staffer, kitchen and his phone as opposed to the customers, which there were not many of. The overall state of the place was messy. There were tables and chafing dishes left out, probably from an event the day before. A bit boring inside. If it’s all about the beer, then find someone knowledgeable to talk about it. Prices were really good. Great lunchtime deals and lots of weekly specials. Almost good enough to make it five stars, but I feel 5 stars should be best of the best. Would I go back? Yes, absolutely. A very good experience, I would only recommend to educate your staff about beer as you have 32 of them to sell.

One of our fav go-to places to get a pint. Spoilt for choice with their 30+ taps. And FYI - the service staff are capable of belting out a pretty good happy birthday song if you would like to indulge/ embarrass someone 😁

  • 2/5 Paul T. 10 months ago on Google
There is a wide range of beer available (30+) from many countries. However the prices were extraordinarily high and the 'American pints' are diminutive. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and the place was virtually empty. There are better places not too far away.

  • 5/5 P3lol0 7 months ago on Google
It's a pretty cosy and quiet place, and it's a good place to have a chat. The drinks recommended were good too. The bartender managed to describe the drinks accurately, which to me is very important. Overall, I would recommend this place if you're looking for a quiet place to catch up with a friends and chill over a pint or two.

EXCELLENT craft beers! There's always so many delightful choices of beer for me. I've been a fan since 2018. I'm an afternoon drinker - they open at 12pm which is wonderful! Also it's air conditioned - as we all know, Singapore is damn hot. They have pizza's, burgers and snacks to go along but I'm usually more focused on the beer cos like I said, their choices. Mammamia! Don't think twice, just go! Now!

Just showed up at noon on Fourth of July at opening time and the guys at the bar said not open we’re still eating our lunch. Go away and come back later.’ Ridiculous. Will never come here again. Speechless at the rudeness and lack of customer service.

It's going to be hard to beat such a wide beer selection all coming from a tap. The food is a hit and miss, but let's be honest. You come for a beer and in this category this place have really not much competition. Amazing selections of reasonably priced IPA's. Great rock music and very knowledgeable bartenders who will make sure you get your best beer fix. A must visit for beer lovers in Singapore. Storngly suggest the Drake's kick back IPA and Heretic evil twin IPA.

Here’s a food hack for you: come by on Tuesdays where you can get a wagyu burger for $10 with the purchase of a pint. You can get plain fries for $3 but instead, add on some 1-for-1 fries (offer valid till 8pm) with your order for you and your dining companion. Sorted!

Great craft beer spot in Central Singapore. If you're in the mood for a Vietnamese pale, a Hong Kong Stout or something local, American tap house has you covered. Taste before you purchase or speak to the knowledgeable bar staff who will surely guide you to the right brew. Leave room for the wings, they're wicked good!

If you're looking for a beer place around the area, definitely come here as they hold a wide variety of craft beers from around the region. The nice looking taps and the many names of beers on the wall makes this place a really enticing choice. Prices are reasonable, around $12-18 per pint. I really like the dark beer options, some are more chocolatey others taste more like coffee.

Can't believe I've not reviewed this place. 30 lovingly curated taps of excellent craft beer, ranging from Singaporean craft to regional selections, and more. All served up in beautiful spiegelau craft beer glasses - one of the few venues in Singapore to do so. Food is also fantastic too. Fries are crispy and not over-salted, burgers are by far one of the best in Singapore, and the pizzas are very delicious albeit a bit on the thin side. Highly recommend the smoked duck pizza. Lunch specials are extremely value for money, and there are other daily specials too - check out their socials for specific deals. Can get crowded at night, do make reservations. Afternoons are fairly quiet. My favourite craft beer place in Singapore - and that's saying a lot.

Great selection of beers. 30 tapped beers is really rare in Singapore, and they have a great selection of local, regional and non Asian beers. Monday’s are currently 30% off and that’s a steal. They also serve quite a variety of food including pizzas, burgers and bar grub. Though I’ve not tried them yet. Definitely a must for beer lovers!

? Service and selection are excellent. Order a beer, it is at your table in under 3 minutes. Stocking local and regional headliners. Constantly rotating taps encourages repeat visits. Dark, friendly, and hampered by high tables. This location has been plagued by construction for years but the clouds may be lifting soon. Sunday afternoon was busy and vibrant.
