My wife and I stayed here recently just by chance because the major hotels in the tourist districts were booked out - and we are glad we did. The hotel is basically a well-run family business and although the rooms are simple, they (and the hotel generally) appeared to be spotlessly clean. Price was good, breakfast was good, car parking was available just outside the front door, the location was very quiet, and the host and his family were very nice. They were happy for us to pack a lunch from the breakfast bar and so that saved us the cost of a lunch later in the day as well. Dinner at the local tavern was pretty good too. No hesitation recommending to others.

Love the place! The room we stayed at had a nice back terrace. Everything is clean and seemed to be renovated recently. The breakfast was great!

Fabulously friendly without intruding. Quaint and comfortable. Variety of room types. Very clean and lovely contents breakfast with cooked to order eggs. If you want a modern chain hotel this may not be your spot but if you enjoy an independent spirit this canal side respite 10 minutes from the sea take a stunning drive past the Spring flower fields and sleep well.

Very nice. The hospitality was above and beyond expectations. The owner was very helpful and friendly. I was impressed. Especially after recently staying at a Dutch chain hotel recently before.

Family run hotel with a canal-side location and with ground floor en-suite rooms. Room keys fit the side door for access after 11.00pm. There is a great welcome and the hotel serves a wonderful breakfast of meats and cheeses with salad, croissants and breads with spreads, fruit and your choice of coffee or tea. Would definitely go back.
