Played at this park when I was a kid. Now I take my kids there to play regularly. My only complaint is during the week in the evenings when we go after school, theres a group of older kids there. I've heard their foul mouths, seen how they destroy the bathrooms, and watched them with my own eyes, try convincing my kids to do things they shouldn't. However other than that no complaints.

Great place to bring the kids. It even has a little dog park adjacent to it to bring the fur babies along. It is also in close walking distance to the skate park and memorial park that also serves as a splash pad during the summer months. Nice little small town feel.

I enjoy this park. I'm not from the area and it was my first time going with my kids. They absolutely loved it. It had a slide, things to climb, train looking things, and it's next to a dog park! They absolutely enjoyed it. They have real trains, don't worry they don't run, on display for you to look and enjoy. You can even get on them! I really enjoy the history feel to it. It's near downtown so it really fits in. I wish they had a small train for the kids to maybe push/pull/or something to interact. I personally wished it offered more. Maybe I missed out, but in all honesty it's great for the kids to just explore.

I hate how Covid has ruined so many things. This park wasn't the greatest thing, but before Covid, it was at least enjoyable. We went here recently in July '21 and many of the benches, swings, playscape, and train cars had obvious signs of neglect and rust, and just not what i or my wife would consider suitable for toddlers. NO tagging or broken bottles or needles, or anything of that nature. But the place needs a pick-me-up and a new paint job for sure. The swings need correcting and more sand added/leveled. One of the swings i have to JUMP up into and I'm 5'8", and the chains show obvious signs of wear. Not to mention that since it's in a SUPER quiet area of town, the swings haven't been oiled or greased and make the very distinct horror movie squeak and it's just kinda unsettling. Overall, our recent visit was a bittersweet heartbreak from what this park used to be.

Great Park to enjoy an afternoon especially if you have kids. Restrooms are clean and some great shade trees with picnic tables and playground.

Nice little community park & playground. Dog park too. Clean public restrooms with a few historic rail cars to add interest.

👍👍 Such a cool play area for kids of all ages. Plenty of things for toddlers and older kids to climb and slide on. There are quite a few baby swings, about six big swings, and two of the adult + baby swings. A bunch of ways for kids to get up the playground - ladders, rock climbing walls, a ramp. Picni...

👍 Their campground is a hidden gem. Very beautiful and quiet little place. I've never been here with more than a few camp sites occupied. Thier shower house could use a serious update. You can use the Smithville Recreation center showers and bathroom which are way nicer. But both are always clean. You...
