Standard Premier Inn setting and room lay outs. The bar is quite small but has a good selection of beers and spirits. Usual breakfast offering and there is loads of parking next door at Lode Lane. just remember to pay at the machine or on the app. The only downside is that the bin men come really early in the morning to empty all the glasses collected from the array of pubs in the local vicinity and it’s not a quiet experience so make sure the windows are closed before heading to bed.

Not a bad hotel. You can check in and out without seeing anyone which im not sure is a good or bad thing. Bed was ok. Wanted a night light on but they are all too bright Nice batheroom. Only 55 per night so 4 stars for the price

Not received service as great as this in years! Good food and fab location! Special thanks to Demi and her colleague (Ms. Gill, I think - sorry forgot her name even though I asked for it!).

You know what standard you are going to get when you book a Premier Inn, but the facilities and location here is ideal. There is a pay and display carpark less than 100mtrs away, only £1.50 for the night. Didnt eat in the restaurant, but as with the rest of the hotel, all spotlessly clean. Will deffinately stay again if in the area

Had a great stay here with my partner great rooms, service, and lovely comfy bed. Also had a lovely breakfast next morning. Really enjoyed our stay. We would stay here again. Only one thing the lift wasn't working so had to lug our bags up to our room. So please get the lift fixed ASAP. Thank you.

I stayed for a conference at the NEC. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Free WiFi is dreadful, didn't bother paying for upgrade. Great location right on major bus routes. Can pay for both breakfast and evening meal in downstairs restaurant which is very convenient.

Stayed here for a few days for a business trip over the weekend. Upon arrival the staff were very polite and helpful, the room I booked (single bed) was presentable and clean as shown in their website. Highly recomned for those to book a short stay.

Lovely room, huge Bed and TV which was brilliant. The staff in the bar are very polite and keen to help. Bathroom was modern and incredibly clean.

I’m fan of the Premier inn’s, this time I’ve been there for business training, room, bed, bathroom, TV remote towels, and glasses were spotless and extremely clean, Restourant for breakfast and dinner was amazingly tasty, staff were very polite and helpful. Overall this Premier inn is one of the best in the country. Thanks to you all. Strongly recommend.

Nice hotel, car park not too far away. Lots of pubs, restaurants, and shop nearby. The food was nice in the hotel but was slow coming out.

We booked this hotel to attend Crufts as did many other people. It is a 10 minute drive from the NEC. Taxis avaliable from outside the hotel. Parking is in a NCP car park. £8.50 for 24 hour parking per day. Saw the parking attendant on Saturday and Sunday so is reguarly checked. A 1 minute walk from the hotel. The room was as expected double bed and a sofa single bed. Clean bedroom. Bathroom clean with towels provided. Comfy and suitable for two people or family room. Located on back of building so didn't hear much sound from outside. Slept well. Used the TV and kettle during stay which worked. Restaurant onsite was the most incredible restaurant. It did not feel like a premier inn. Food was good quality and a nice range of choices. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in and out was easy. Will be back.

Although the staff were very nice and helpful, the rooms are just unhealthy to stay in. I brought my business team to work at the NEC and we had six rooms at this hotel. The windows in all the rooms are sealed shut therefore there is no ventilation in any of the rooms. When the showwe is used the steam goes in the bedroom so everything was damp after a few days. Two of the staff compalined of sore throats as living in poorly maintained air conditionimng is very bad for you. Shame as food and staff were very good but this is a health hazard inm my view so will never sya here again.

Our first time in Birmingham, we had last minute booked a Room here, as we ended up staying overnight. The process to book was easy, and an affordable price too. It’s very nice looking from the outside in. The corridors could have been a little cleaner, but otherwise the lifts, Restaurant and room itself were all spotless. The Room was very clean in every aspect, and it makes you feel a lot safer having to have. Card to gain access to any part of the Building, and to use the Lift. It was also very quiet, unlike most other Hotels I had stayed at in the past, with only a little banging from the Room above us. The only downfall I would say was I continuously tried to ring the Hotel, as we would be arriving after 11pm, which by then the Main Doors would be all locked up, only being able to gain access by Reception allowing you in, or with a Room Card, which of course we didn’t have until we checked in. You have to ring if you are going to be arriving later than 11pm, so this is why I attempted to call and warn them, to which it just rung out. We arrived shortly after 11pm, and had to keep buzzing for us to eventually be let in. We apologised for being so late, but did explain we tried to ring. The gentleman on Reception was a little blunt, but otherwise checked us in with no issues or complaints. We had another guest tap our Door about half past Midnight, to which I did tell them to knock it off or I would complain, which of course is not the Hotels fault, but just the mannerism and personality of certain people. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay and we would definitely return in the Future. Breakfast was also pleasant, just a little dry and Egg rubbery from being sat. Thank you.

Good for an overnight stay. Centrally located. All staff were helpful. Reception and restaurant excellent. Meal deal very good value.

Rooms were nice and clean However if you want your room cleaning daily you have to ask each day. Staff were friendly and made time for conversations. We only had breakfast, which was good value and very nice. Dining area and bar were kept clean and tidy one bad thing, I went to book for next year and the prices are double what we paid for this year. So either I got a good deal this year (not in my opinion) or they are hiking their prices up. Sorry Premier Inn your rooms are not worth £100+ per night especially when there are higher rated hotels at that price and a travel lodge a couple of hundred yards away

Wow, wow, wow what can I say. I stay in Solihull on a regular basis and only went to the Premier Inn because my usual hotel was fully booked. The Premier Inn is in an excellent location and yes it is a little bit tired, it doesn’t have a gym and yet I was hooked because of the staff. Not just one person but everyone was absolutely brilliant. They were helpful, friendly and the service was substantially better than you get in 5 star establishments. I will definitely stay here again because despite not having the facilities of other hotels, this one just made my stay so much more pleasant. If anyone is looking for quality where they least expect it, book this hotel. PS. The evening meals are pretty good as well.

Not bad at all for a Premier Inn. Room and restaurant were clean, breakfast was good. Staff were friendly. Only negatives were a) the noise which the fan made in the bathroom (deafening!) and b) all the little packets of UHT milk in the room were off, lumpy and quite disgusting.

Stayed for 1 night. Booking in was easy, you can either deal with a member of staff or you can use the fast check-in machine. Rooms are spotless, this room had a bath/shower. The shower was nice and powerful. Didn't eat at the hotel as lots of resturants in the area however returned and had a few drinks at the bar. The food that was going to the tables looked good. Seating for the bar area is limmited however you can use any of the tables in the resturant. Free Wifi was a bit hit and miss but apart from that everything was fine.

Good hotel but the staff are useless. If you need an invoice for your stay make sure you ask on departure as the Premier Inn team at Lode Lane do not answer the phone. I have been on hold on 3 separate occasions for over 45 mins each. One time they answered the phone and just left it off the hook, I can only assume to stop it ringing.

Stayed here for 4 weeks whilst on a course. Staff were very friendly and helpful and there when you needed them. Menu has good selection, and nice choice of drinks. Rooms are decent size with comfy bed, only problem is windows are sealed. Overall a good stay, 👍

My room was absolutely as expected - clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff downstairs in reception/bar/restaurant were very pleasant and helpful (special shout out to Dean, Caza and Raj, but there were others whose names I didn't pick up). Finally it is super convenient for Solihull Station interchange, just five minutes walk away, where you can catch both trains and express buses into Central Birmingham for as little as £4.20 return with a railcard- exactly half the price of parking a car in the adjacent multi story! So I came by train! NB Solihull town centre shops are just a 2-minute walk away down Station Road.

Came here to book a room however I had a similar experience as I did at Ababeel where the owner decided to talk to me through a glass window. Felt a little disrespected but at least he was more polite. My general experience with Premier Inns has been good in the past so I'm going to give these lot the benefit of the doubt.

Great budget hotel, centrally located near the inner city. Unfortunately the restaurant already closed 9.45 and I would not receive any more food because check in was delayed due to a credit card hiccup. We certainly will come again.

The room was lovely and clean in Solihull Premier Inn and very comfortable, but the breakfast was barely edible and had pieces of glass in! Not realising they were in the food i crunched down on 2 pieces with my teeth and swallowed thinking it was just large bits of sea salt which was horrible. After this, I then found a larger piece of the glass on my plate in the food. The staff weren’t very apologetic considering I had just eaten glass but didn’t make us pay for breakfast. I feel traumatised and violated after this experience and will be taking this further. The food itself was absolutely disgusting and tasted barely edible. I wouldn’t even given it a 1 star, but I don’t have the option of leaving a 1 star review here. Please avoid the Premier Inn food at all costs!!!

Staff really pleasant and helpful. Good breakfast. All that you would expect from a Premier Inn. Happy with our 2 night stay.

Bed was so noisy, every time we turned around it was making cracking noises, windows couldn't open even a little and there was no air whatsoever, and air-conditioning was switching it self off to top it up above us was this person who was walking like an elephant most of night keeping us totally awake for the whole time. In the morning when I dropped the keys and I said have a nice day I was just given a look as of she was saying 'off you go now' and not a single word. Premier inn used to be the comfortable place I always stayed on across the UK now I'm not so sure about the service and the stay at this brand.

One of the worst premier inn's I've stayed in, and I've been to more than my fare share. We booked two rooms as a family but were told that no adjoining rooms were available. We were given one room which was adjoining, but to a room with other guests in, and another room opposite. One room had a knackered bed which groaned loudly when even our son sat on it gently, and had a massive valley down the middle. The other had the joy of loud guests upstairs until very late, even gentle walking around comes through as thumps to the rooms below. Both rooms were filthy. Hairs in the beds, a hair band in the middle of the floor which felt gritty. In the end we kept our shoes on except when sleeping. None of this was excusable as the hotel was so quiet that when I went for breakfast at 8am, the toasters hadn't been switch on yet.

What a great place. Town Centre and the best value. Demi was an awesome friendly welcome to the hotel. Will return the next time I’m working in the NEC.
