After 5 years in Germany this is the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. The bed is not suitable for average sized male. The bathrooms have no overhead light so are very dark. Really basic rooms with thin office floor carpet. The large breakfast area has 1 coffee machine which is regularly out of service. No restaurant but the reception staff got annoyed that we quietly tried to eat a takeaway pizza at the back of the bar seating area and told us the rule was guests must eat in the rooms. (The bar was completely empty at the time and we were sure to let them know we would be quick- but the staff demanded we get up and move to our rooms). There is 1 lift available but in mornings it is used by the cleaning team and you must wait ages- quicker to take stairs even with luggage. In general the staff are very helpful and try hard despite the cheapness and lack of facilities.

Nice rooms and polite staff, but your breakfast will be interrupted until you say your room number and sign a paper.

I had a close friend stay for one night there, he found it very functional and ideal for a short stay in Solingen.

Clean, good breakfast. But no aircondition, not in the rooms, not in the lobby.....and it was very very hot! Not a place to stay in the summer

Hotel easy to find. Car park on site small charge. Rooms basic. Kettle in room which was a bonus. Easy walking distance to town 15min walk. Booked a double room but was given a twin room. Was tired after journey so didn't have energy to complain. Only stopped two nights didn't have breakfast. There were places nearby to eat.

Price quality it's a very nice hotel. To recommend.

Room was clean and comfortable, staff was also helpful. Minus one star for paid parking. They could do it free for their guests. 5€ per night is not much but still we decided to park on the street near supermarket although we were told that on the streets around we also have to pay for parking which was not true.

At first sight outside it doesn't seems very special, but it is actually pretty good. The rooms was super clean and comfortable, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Even the breakfast was tasty and delicious. Definitely would use it again when I'm in the region.

This hotel advertises air conditioning, but they are deceitful as the hotel has zero air conditioning or air circulation. I was advised to open a large window, but it was warm outside and the window did not have a screen so we had bugs in our room. I emailed the area manager F Michels twice, but he failed to even reply with a resolution. Disappointing!

Die andere Hälfte ist sehr unfreundlich, teilweise beleidigend weil die Parkplätze nicht für die Gäste ausreichen. Das Frühstück kostet mehr und bietet deutlich weniger als das Buffet 900m weiter beim ALEX. Das Frühstück wird sehr schwierig, wenn man kein Schwein u Käse isst. Wenn was leer wird beim frühstücksbuffet, braucht das Personal deutlich zu lange um es nach zu füllen (teilweise 30min). Oberflächen und Zimmer werden nicht ordentlich gereinigt. An den Fenstern waren ganze handabdrücke, der Nachttisch war mit getränkerändern überseht, Nagellackflecken im Badezimmer auf der Klobrille. Die Heizung ist über Nacht abgestellt, demnach waren die Nächte nicht wirklich angenehm. Extrawünsche scheinen mit Absicht falsch ausgeführt zu werden, es wurde um ein ruhiges Zimmer gebeten, zwei mal hatte ich nun ein Zimmer direkt am Treppenhaus. Das Hotel ist kulant wenn es um einen späteren kostenfreien checkout geht, bis 13 Uhr möglich. Das Hotel hat eine super Lage.

Wir waren besonders vom Frühstücksbuffet begeistert! Sehr abwechslungsreiche und große Auswahl, für jeden was dabei! Zimmer waren auch wie immer sehr sauber und in einem guten Zustand. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne zu euch!
