My
recent
stay
at
Damal
Hotel
Hargeisa
was
nothing
short
of
a
nightmare,
and
I
feel
compelled
to
share
my
experience
as
it
was
disheartening
to
witness
such
a
poorly
managed
hotel
from
top
to
bottom.
Service
Quality:
The
first
issue
we
encountered
was
the
abysmal
service,
particularly
during
meal
times.
Breakfast
and
other
meals
were
a
disaster.
Constantly
incorrect
meal
orders,
delayed
service,
and
a
complete
lack
of
attentiveness
to
our
dining
experiences.
Billing
and
Invoicing:
Another
issue
that
effected
our
stay
was
the
mismanagement
of
invoicing.
It
took
days
to
resolve
discrepancies,
which
added
unnecessary
stress
to
our
visit.
It's
alarming
that
such
basic
administrative
matters
were
mishandled.
Management
Problems:
The
management
problems
at
Damal
Hotel
Hargeisa
seem
to
cascade
down
to
the
staff
in
their
day-to-day
activities.
It's
evident
that
the
employees
lack
proper
training
in
customer
service
and
fail
to
understand
the
importance
of
taking
care
of
hotel
residents.
Charging
for
Services:
To
make
matters
worse,
we
were
charged
for
services
that
were
supposed
to
be
included
in
our
package.
This
is
a
clear
indication
of
the
lack
of
attention
to
detail
and
disregard
for
customer
satisfaction.
Finally-
In
stark
contrast,
we
had
the
pleasure
of
staying
at
Damal
Hotel
Berbera,
which
was
a
paragon
of
excellence
in
hotel
management.
We
were
welcomed
and
looked
after
with
the
kind
of
care
and
hospitality
one
would
expect
from
a
premium
hotel.
I
would
love
to
see
someone
like
Fawzi
to
share
his
knowledge
and
experience
and
perhaps
Damal
Hargeisa
learn
how
to
provide
proper
hospitality.
