If you’re looking for a place where to relax and read some novels or whatever, Damal would be the best. They have one of the best coffee available and even some fresh drinks as well. The ambience was so relaxing, and the staffs are highly capable.

I only ate in Damal Hotel restaurant but did not stay. The restaurant is in a garden setting, and often a gathering place for parties, wedding or upper class social. The food and service were OK but can't call it excellent, especially with that price tag. I did looked at a few guest rooms. They are clean and well maintained. Some rooms can be a bit small. It is located in the best location in town just next to the airplane monument.

It's the best option in Hargeisa, Somaliland close to the memorial. The staff can speak English. Convenient place, reasonable rooms and services. The restaurant is one of the top ranked restaurant in the neighborhood. You will enjoy the food with affordable price.

I stayed in Damal from 2018 to July 2022, in deluxe and VIP rooms they were the best rooms Ave ever enjoyed and their services were wonderful. As a long-term stay visitor, these many years I didn't have any other choice except Damal Hotel. Whenever you in need of anything during your stay and are there for me. It's in the heart of the city, and can access every part of Hargeisa. It has complimentary breakfast upto 11am and they also do allow late breakfast

The best premium hotel in the town and the staffs are so professional . They are always be there for any service assistance. They managed really well. Yummy breakfast complementary even if you wake up at 11am. Amazing

This year’s Ramadan buffet was rubbish. Please ensure there’s enough for everyone. Quality of food has gone down, otherwise elegant and modern decorations. No improvements when it comes to customer service.

I came to know about ..... Hotel from YouTube and I liked the ambience of the hotel and reserved a room from Dubai for 10 days for a business trip. My overall experience was very good. The staff is very cooperative and the services are excellent. I will recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this place.👍

Staff are untrained and unprofessional whatever we’ve asked is sold out and food has no test. The cleansing is party of the life but they don’t even understand how it’s important! We’ve been two nights but we wasted our money! First time we gave them chance and second time we were 8 people and we left the food on the table such a disgusting food!

My recent stay at Damal Hotel Hargeisa was nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my experience as it was disheartening to witness such a poorly managed hotel from top to bottom. Service Quality: The first issue we encountered was the abysmal service, particularly during meal times. Breakfast and other meals were a disaster. Constantly incorrect meal orders, delayed service, and a complete lack of attentiveness to our dining experiences. Billing and Invoicing: Another issue that effected our stay was the mismanagement of invoicing. It took days to resolve discrepancies, which added unnecessary stress to our visit. It's alarming that such basic administrative matters were mishandled. Management Problems: The management problems at Damal Hotel Hargeisa seem to cascade down to the staff in their day-to-day activities. It's evident that the employees lack proper training in customer service and fail to understand the importance of taking care of hotel residents. Charging for Services: To make matters worse, we were charged for services that were supposed to be included in our package. This is a clear indication of the lack of attention to detail and disregard for customer satisfaction. Finally- In stark contrast, we had the pleasure of staying at Damal Hotel Berbera, which was a paragon of excellence in hotel management. We were welcomed and looked after with the kind of care and hospitality one would expect from a premium hotel. I would love to see someone like Fawzi to share his knowledge and experience and perhaps Damal Hargeisa learn how to provide proper hospitality.

I am a frequent traveller of somaliland. I use to come from dubai always. This is the best hotel in somaliland. The hospitality and service is commendable. We can also find many internationals like Indians, Arabs, Europeans over here. They have very big conference hall for official meetings and very beautiful garden restaurant.

I went here for vacation for three months and it’s very nice and the food was delicious and u should try there chicken shawarma it’s so nice and cooked good 🌸🤭 guards outside 24/7 and the room is nice and at night time outside is a great view for watch from ur balcony

Good service, but do inform them before your arrival to bug off the mosquitos, otherwise nice service great restaurant to dine in and good location.

Never recommend this hotel for any traveler. I stayed here for 7 nights and they made the whole stay a stressful disappointed one. Rooms were not clean and properly arranged. They didn’t allow us to have meals in the restaurant even though they show their restaurant as a part of their hotel in the promotional videos. They were not flexible at all. Had to remind them certain things again and again. Couple of front office staff were really nice and tried helping us. But we realized that the management was so bureaucratic and not flexible in providing a better service. Don’t spoil your stay by selecting this shaddy hotel!

Rooms are OK. It has a fan, air con, clean and bathrooms is good.. Restaurant service is slow. Food is intolerable. I completely do not understand why customers patronise this restaurant with tasteless and insipid food. Maybe they like the open air space and feeling to be eating in a star hotel.

Broken shower cubicles, Noisy and unpredictable Air Con, Erratic water spray, Bugs/Mosquitoes!!!!!!!!, Poor food service arrangements, Limited breakfast menu, Non-working telephone, Non-responsive safety lockers (replaced a couple of times), Unclean rooms, Long waiting times for requests made, incorrect billing, rude security checks, a GM who has no idea of customer service of how to make it up to customers....and all this after booking their so called 'VIP room'. The sole saving grace is the FO staff (Ms.Amal) who tried her best to address some of the issues (eventually!) but that too after many follow-ups; however, some of these were pointed well ahead of the visit! Apart from the central location of the hotel, nothing much to recommend about this hotel. Avoid at all costs!

This was my first experience in damsel restaurant the food is mediocre , water is hot and food arrives cold wich is not good , the service takes long even through our waiter was trying his best , if u want mediocre food with bad service and expensive bill that is ur place , but I will never go there again .
