What an absolute treat! I had been curious about Afro's for quite some time and after caving and getting some delivered to the house, my already high expectations were surpassed. The cheese and bacon chicken burger was spicy and succulent, and is certainly a new favourite. It had that homemade, rustic touch, but was jam-packed with flavour and toppings. The chips, or tjips rather, and the slaw were equally delicious and crunchy - perfect for mopping up the lemony chili sauce. Even the chicken and avo salad was generous with its ingredients, and had that signature addictive kick of heat. I was so impressed by the variety of options when it came to sauces and dressings, as well as the ability to choose between grilled or crumbed chicken. I also liked that the food arrived in plastic-free containers that were sturdy enough to prevent leaking or shifting during delivery. I highly recommend supporting this branch, as it is evident that the food is prepared with care (and a liberal splash of hot sauce).

This shop blows my mind every time I go there. Please get some Afro’s chicken everybody, this business deserves to be supported. Food is so fresh and the staff are such wonderful people. Everything, even down to the packaging, is outstanding.

Good customer service is how you can judge a company. I initially had a poor experience, and much difficulty in contacting any kind of customer support. Fortunately, the owner of Afros Chicken Somerset West reads these reviews, and tracked me down to apologise and reassure me of Afros' commitment to good service. The replacement meal was also delicious and the best I've had from Afros. I am optimistic that my case helped Afros as a brand in identifying ways to improve their very clunky official channels. While they work on that, I am glad to feel renewed confidence in supporting my local Afros Chicken.

Flame grilled chicked takeaway restaurant ... acceptable meal for an acceptable price ... but nothing wow. We asked for a full peri-peri chicken meal which was spicy , but lacked flavour ... the taste leaned towards being a little bitter as it was charred just a little too much. The fries were fine.
