This was at Thaisan restaurant. The nicest cashew beef dish with green veggies and egg rice. Really enjoyed this food and can highly recommend their sushi platters.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Clean and need locker room. Limited equipment that makes it difficult during peak times. Waiting on equipment and having to fined or look for waits can be quite frustrating.

Awesome gym and professional and help service! Leigh is a great manager and you can see it by the quality of his staff.

Very disappointed with this club. I signed up for a 12 month membership, or at least that's what I thought, only to discover that it was a 24 month membership contract. After numerous attempts to change this I was advised to freeze the membership to avoid paying the fees and only a fee of R88 will be charged for the freeze period. Today I was told that the membership can only be frozen for 6 months, resulting in me having to pay for a service I do not use.

Very friendly staff. It is not expected but it is very refreshing to be greeted by your name after only being there a few days. Waterston could take a few lessons on friendly customer service. There they make you feel like they are doing you a favour by serving you.

Gym is always clean and tidy. Equipment is new and staff are friendly and helpful. Reconmend grid class and spin class with Neline Dippenaar.

The gym is always busy, and full, but you can't penalise a business for it's popularity. Bathroom setups are awesome, equipment is great. However, the gym does not have a flat bench, rather benches with a seat. All in all though, it's a great place to be!

Between Karlin and Leigh (the Manager at the Gym) they cannot resolve a R200 debit order deduction mistake. Unbelievable. Leigh just does not respond.

I really enjoy this gym. Very friendly and I love how the equipment is laid out.

Absolutely terrible! They make their own agreements when you join and do not cancel the debit order when you cancel your membership. It is also impossible to speak to someone who can assist you.

What a pathetic excuse for a Manager, Lee is his name. I have been struggling with my app for quite sometime and no one at Virgin Active can assist. He seen the effort I have gone through to sort out these problems but, just shrugged his shoulder not being to help.

Great little gym! The staff are some of the friendliest I've had the privilege to meet at any gym. Only big thing missing is a swimming pool.

Been PTing with Patrick @ Virgin Active Sanctuary since February. He's always got your back, turning up on time, with a killer routine ready to go. Keeps things fresh so you're not stuck doing the same old lifts. He's got the kind of energy that gets you through that last rep. Keeps the vibe upbeat and makes the grind more bearable. Even on those sluggish days, he knows how to get you fired up and back on track. Solid guy, knows his stuff, and makes sure you're getting your money's worth. Hats off to Patrick at Virgin Active, definitely the guy you want in your corner at the gym!

I have a big problem. I prepaid my premiums in Somerset West in full, then 4 months ago I was charged again which I immediately complained about. To this day and after asking several times, I still have not gotten my money back. Karlin on site has been putting me off for months. That shouldn't happen in such a large company. Please transfer my money back to me.

Absolutely loved the facilities. I spent the day at The Sanctuary branch and was very impressed by the variety of equipment, spaciousness of the gym, and helpfulness of the staff and other gym members.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Karlin Davids, in setting up everything from my contract to getting signed, she is probably the best sales consultant I have worked with in a very long time, Virgin Active Somerset West please take note of her she was excellent!!!

Has all that you need for a great workout. Not the biggest gym, but sufficient. They do need to work on class control. If there is a booking option, yet they practically work on first come first serve then it’s gonna create problems. Which it has in the form of overcrowded classes or loosing your booked spot to someone who didn’t book.

The gym experience itself is pleasant but the staff is not helpful. I have been struggling for weeks- unsuccessfully, to have the correct ID put on my profile. It had been put into the system incorrectly and if I forget my card at the odd time, I’m told that I’m not a member at the gym. Then I struggle to be allowed in- even I have been going at least twice a week for the past many months. I was eventually allowed in but after trying two weeks in a row to get them to change it, it had still not been done. I even called their head office to fix the issue. They promised me that I would get a call from the manager to follow up. It never happened.

Very nice facility and employees. But way to full and overcrowded. Will never be able to follow a programme due to needing to adapt, because equipment is always full or broken (due to overuse) The staff tries their best but facilities was not made for the amount of people training there.

Neat gym, equipment sanitized frequently by visitors and staff. Limited space and can get a bit crowded in the evenings during the week. Weekends, its a bit quieter.

My place of happiness!!! I've never felt unwelcome at my gym(The Sanctuary) its great how you feel part of the family, they greet you by name and never miss a goodbye, enjoy your day further when you leave. Most amazing staff, instructors and personal trainers. I especially love my Zumba classes with Romy, and Simone's awesome step classes.. Never a unfriendly staff member and talk about helpful., they are tops. Great work The Sanctuary!!!!!! 💕

I was very disappointed that one of the staff members ook pictures/videos of a class while they were working out. They had no right to do that without permission from the clients.

Treadmills are useless, can set them to max speed and the still go no more than 12kph. Ive been complaining about this since 2020 and nothing changes. UPDATE: still no fix for the treadmills and the bathrooms need ventilation. Air at the toilets is stagnant and honeslty i dont event want to go wash my hands during a PANDEMIC its so noxious there.

Pretty clean. The reception staff were very welcoming. Private showers and ample space to do your workouts. Bring your own lock for the lockeroom.

Caught again!!!! Opened 3 membership, Mom and 2 children, promises was made, after a few month, suddenly my daugters card was never activated...... now I have to pay more, after confirming with the sales consultant, thought I will go and see everyone involved, been rudely treated by staff and Branch Manager Leigh, got evidence confirming 3 contract have been opened!!!!
