I
booked
this
place
with
a
weeks
notice
to
attend
the
Newport
Jazz
Festival,
coming
from
NYC.
At
about
$250
total
for
two
nights
in
a
double
queen
room
is
was
by
far
the
best
option
in
terms
of
distance
and
price.
On
the
drive
up
we
decided
to
check
out
the
reviews
and
were
dismayed
by
the
sheer
quantity
of
1
stars.
I
would
be
lying
to
say
we
weren't
concerned.
The
room
was
more
than
acceptable
for
a
motel
of
this
price/category.
The
sheets,
comforter
and
pillows
were
clean
and
the
mattress
was
comfortable.
I
did
notice
while
inspecting
the
bed
that
the
area
between
the
mattress
and
bed
frame
was
dirty
but
I
don't
view
it
as
a
big
deal.
The
bed
also
passed
my
bug/mite
inspection.
Otherwise
the
hotel
is
old
so
the
room
is
not
in
flawless
condition.
The
sliding
door
to
the
balcony
does
not
open
smoothly
and
requires
force.
There
are
some
chips
in
the
furniture
and
the
door
adjoining
rooms.
One
thing
I
did
not
like
is
I
could
not
figure
out
how
to
turn
off
the
light
on
the
balcony
so
even
with
the
blackout
curtain
the
room
is
dimly
lit
at
night.
Annoying
but
not
a
deal
breaker.
I
suspect
it's
in
the
building
code
for
safety.
Despite
other
reviews
my
experience
with
the
staff
was
that
they're
friendly
and
helpful.
Check
in
was
smooth
at
12:30am
and
the
front
desk
made
small
talk
about
the
festival.
At
one
point
I
put
2
dollars
in
the
vending
machine
and
then
used
the
coin
return
after
it
was
sold
out
of
what
I
wanted.
I
only
received
$1.50
in
quarters.
The
next
day
I
told
the
front
desk
and
given
the
other
reviews
expected
to
get
a
hassle
about
it.
I
was
made
whole
no
questions
asked
and
with
a
smile.
Overall
I'm
very
satisfied
with
my
stay
here
and
I
hope
this
is
not
a
fluke
due
to
the
jazz
festival.
Note
we
booked
through
AirBnb
so
maybe
thats
related
to
the
quality
of
the
room
we
received.
Hope
this
review
helps
quell
fear
derived
from
the
others.
