Stopped here for lunch Sunday last while cycling on the superb Voie Verte rail-to-trail bike path on a cold and misty day. A roaring fire in the dining room fireplace was just the thing to warm us up. The fixed price lunch was a delicious 4 course meal of locally sourced duck, vegetables, cheese and walnuts. The Sarlat-style pan fried potatoes were especially good. We Americans tend to eat quickly, but the food and atmosphere was so inviting that we dined for two hours. We will likely never visit the area again but this was a memorable day for us.

Fast service, generous portions, not expensive, tasty. Duck and pate are excellent. Toilets in order

Truly rustic french cuisine, decor hasn't changed in years. Comfortable airy resturant. A bar and outside patio which fronts the road.

Lovely locally sourced meal. Huge portions. Nice courtyard out the back. Not busy which meant we didn't wait too long to be served, but I can expect the service to be slow if it were to be busy.

We have a mixed view of this hotel. They have a large public parking area opposite the hotel. Our room was a good size and had a private bathroom and separate WC. The style was old fashioned. There was no air conditioning and not even a fan in the room so it was very difficult to sleep due to the heat. In the spring and autumn it wouldn't be a problem, but in the height of summer it was awful! The pillows were very flat but the bed was comfortable. We also ate at the on-site restaurant. The starters were enormous. One included half a melon! My starter was swimming in duck fat which I found off-putting. The child menu came with very garlicky potatoes that were really too strong for a younger child and a large salad that had all sorts of bits with it including strawberries and apple. Our son's food came 20 minutes before our starters so he had finished and was getting bored and we hadn't even had our food! We noticed this had also happened at some other tables where one person had their food a long time before the rest of the table was served. The amount of food for the price was very good but we felt that we would have preferred smaller portions. Breakfast was a bit limited. We were allowed one croissant each and then everything else was industrial factory food including the jam. So if we stayed here again (in a cooler season) we wouldn't have the hotel breakfast. We have eaten better breakfasts at hotels for around the same price. The staff were friendly even though they seemed understaffed they were polite and smiled at the clients. We would stay here again but would choose a cooler season to do so and we would probably eat elsewhere.

Ok lunch and they were lovely to seat us at 13.45. My daughter's pommes de terre Sarladaise were very greasy, but the pudding and salad were delicious.

Hospitable, food was fine, but nothing to write home about, from 2019. We have had lunch here today, the 4th July. 2021. We arrived at 2pm and were greeted well and offered a table straight away.. Keen staff and jolly reception 10/10.. Good food and a nice salad, all round good service... Thanks guys..
