Fantastic wee palace, so we'll preserved, presented and decorated. An absolute feast for the eyes. Staff were very helpful, despite limited English. And just 5 dinar entry fee. There's an A4 handout in English, but otherwise there's no curation (in any language). A tea/coffee on the terrase would have made this the perfect visit!

Great museum. You can visit a traditional house with all the details. The furniture, clothes and pictures are beautiful and the rooms stunning. You can visit the rooms, patio, kitchen and bathroom. You can also go to the second floor and the roof terrace. They also have a coffee shop at the top. It was close when I visit it because of Ramadan. I really recommend this visit if you go to Sousse.

One of the best examples of a traditional Tunisian home (of the bourgeois), preserved as if it is in some sort of time warp. Beautiful collections of native decor from clothing, bathing to the kitchen. Beautiful terrace upstairs to snap great landscape photos of Sousse

Absolutely brilliant museum, it's so beautiful inside. Get a proper insight into how people lived hundreds of years ago. Far exceeded my expectations and a great place to visit. Also has a tower with great views over the city. Spent almost 2 hours here.

3 lovely kids greeted us at the entrance, handed info sheets in the requested language. The museum is full of objects, clothes, furniture and little interesting stories. You can climb the tower to see the views over the old city and rest on the rooftop terrace. Very nice museum, totally worth for its price.

Very helpful staff. Toilets are great but check toilet roll is in stall and not by sink. Not a huge museum but some very interesting sculptures, views, plants and mosaics.

Well worth the visit! Quaint little house with a printed guide for the facilities. Tower with view of the city from above. Staff at the door were friendly and entry was very fairly priced too.

We were excited to visit the museum today on Saturday 11 o' clock, but unfortunally it was closed. When you look at the internet it shoukd be open from 10 o'clock. Saddly we went back to our hotel.

This is not exactly a museum, but an old house packed to the brim with artefacts of daily life. There is a printed handout which is very helpful in explaining the layout and pointing out some interesting objects. Definitely worth visiting if you're in Sousse.

I went to the museum and was very excited to visit it, but unfortunately I found it closed even though it was a Saturday and it was posted that it was open. I do not recommend visiting it on weekends.

The museum was closed when I attempted to visit at around 12pm on a Thursday. I returned around 90 minutes later and it was still closed. There was no signage to indicate when the museum would be open.

Authenticity guaranteed. One of Sousse's hidden gems. You roam in a house that belongs to one of the city's bourgeois family. It is amazing how this takes you back in time to decorations, outfits and tools used in the past.

The Dar Essid Museum is an art museum located in a palace in the medina of Sousse, Tunisia. The edifice belonged to a family of aristocrats. The museum retraces the daily city life in Sousse in the 18th and 19th centuries.Casa di ricconi in altre parole...

Smaller museum hidden in narrow streets of old medina. Shows home of wealthy tunisian family in the past. Not guided, but paper with information is provided in english, german and other languages. Room are fully furnished, everything is well maintained by the owner.

Wonderful ! Here you can learn and see so many things about Tunisians old style families. The museum is a well preserved house of a middle class Tunisian family with first and second wives. All the furniture, many personal objects and clothes are there . Don't forget visit the terrace !
