This
is
an
excellent
hotel
with
a
few
problems.
Because
the
hotel
is
situated
right
on
Yanghwa-ro,
a
major
car
and
bus
throughfare,
there
is
a
lot
of
traffic
noise.
Koreans
love
to
honk
their
horns,
so
keeping
the
window
open
is
probably
out
of
the
question.
Which
is
itself
a
problem
because
the
rooms
don't
have
air
conditioning
in
the
winter
months,
only
heating.
There's
also
no
laundry
facility
at
the
building,
checking
takes
seemingly
forever,
pre-payments
offered
through
Bonvoy
are
not
actually
honoured,
and
the
toilets
are
far
too
aggressive
in
auto-flushing.
Oh,
and
there's
a
new
tower
being
built
next
door
so
be
prepared
for
construction
noises.
But
like,
that's
all
the
downsides.
On
the
upside,
the
beds
are
comfortable,
the
staff
are
friendly,
the
breakfast
is
exceptional,
the
shower
is
really
nice,
the
location
is
impeccable,
and
the
overall
layout
of
the
Editor
suite
is
worth
the
extra
money.
The
late-night
hotel
bar
is
also
a
stand-out,
with
some
interesting
cocktail
ideas.
Maybe
you're
picking
up
what
I'm
putting
down
here:
This
hotel
nails
all
the
big
things
but
could
improve
on
some
small
things.
Autograph
Collection
is
supposed
to
be
all
about
capturing
the
essence
and
unique
nature
of
the
neighbourhood
it's
in.
This
location
certainly
succeeds
at
aht.
