Creative new American, done right. 10 out of 10: I recommend the bucatini alla' amatriciana (housemade bucatini, house pancetta, charred onion, fresno chili, tomato, parmesan, a nice helping of burrata). Good Stuff: + Perfect textures with clean flavors. + Fair prices. + Cozy outdoor seating + Food presentation is charming; balanced and not over the top. + Good selection of local beer. + Professional, attentive and friendly staff. + Quick seating without reservation. Bad Stuff: +Nothing

We were in town for the Dali museum and looking for a place to grab dinner. Not being familiar with the area, we we intrigued by the name and this turned out to be a great choice. It is on the small side, but comfortable and attractive. Our server was very helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Maybe we were lucky in our choices, but the food was really outstanding. The house burger was one of the best I have had in a while, the homemade pasta and marina perfectly done but the best was the lavender basil panna cotta desert. I should mention that they have a nicely curated wine list, we drank an Austrian red that was inexpensive yet quite good. Good job!

Nice service and quick to seat without reservations on a Saturday. We had the shrimp appetizer and it was great! For the entrees, it was a different story. The burger was extremely raw when asked for medium rare. The manager did comp it, but wasn’t easy about it. It might have been an off night, but just ask for the food to be cooked properly.

Intimate wine bar with craft beer menu that serves very well conceived culinary treats! One special starters of the night was roasted beet salad with goat cheese... super tasty indeed! Some of the other delicious choices we had included Short Rib w Fat Noodles, Seafood Bouillabaisse, House Cheeseburger... we sat in what once was the Alexander Hotel lobby. Beautiful building outside, take a look at the upper floors from the street!

Had one of the best steaks of my life. The waiter was incredibly nice too. Can’t wait to go back!

How disappointing. Anniversary dinner. $40 filet on a bed of old and cold fries. The butter and herbs had melted off the top of filet - stale in the window and all room temperature. Sent it back and the fries the second time around, not much better - a few hot and fresh fries mixed with the same fries from the before. The filet better but drowned in herbs, didn’t eat the fries. Way too expensive for a very mediocre (at best) meal.

Super chef-ing here! Everything was flawless. A pro staff delivering outstanding food and service. The B&M burger is easily one of the best in St. Pete. The Braised Short rib w/“fat” noodles is a hearty, unctuous dish that satisfies at a higher level. The Donut bread pudding is decadence heaven. A top-tier St. Pete restaurant.

Overall good food and service. 4 rating because it’s good but not spectacular for the price. Also, it’s beer and wine only, no full bar, which means no happy cocktails. They are missing a prime opportunity to create craft cocktails to go with their menu.

Brick & Mortar is in my top 3 favorite restaurants in all of Florida! I’ve lived here for many years and have tried countless eateries. We reside a little over an hour away, but come often to enjoy B&M’s amazing food & service. We ALWAYS have to have the beet salad (it’s the best I’ve ever had)... and the beef carpaccio with a giant handmade ravioli, is simply divine! My bf gets the burger every single time. I’ve tried it and it’s tender, juicy, and full of yummy beefy flavor. They have daily specials which I try often, and love. In fact, we have never been anything less than absolutely pleased with our dining experiences there. My mother is flying in, in on Saturday and I just can’t wait to bring her to Brick and Mortar during her visit.

A friend of us recommended this place. This restaurant is a GEM! I totally recommend it. Food was exquisite, customer service on point, price was according to the quality of the food! I ordered the filet and truffle fries. My husband ordered the fish of the day. It was really delicious. We also ordered the mussels (omg, this was too much! So rich and tasty. I will totally come back just for this plate). Dessert, I had the glazed donut bread pudding and my husband the basil and lavender panacotta. It was a delicious dinner, we were able to talk and enjoy ourselves even that the place had other people dinning. Please do yourself a favor when in town and visit this beautiful restaurant. Will come back for sure!

This food was so very delicious that I forgot to take a picture of the seafood bouillabaisse before I started deconstructing it. We started with the roasted octopus as an appetizer. It was cooked to perfection - tender! Also pictured was the B & M house burger with truffle fries on a pretzel bun. The food was delicious, the waitstaff were excellent in their service, I recommend it!

I ate here in June 2023 and three months later, I've thought about it multiple times. Dang it was so good. Best carpaccio I've ever had. Freshest pasta, SO GOOD, would absolutely order again. Husband had the burger, also tasted amazing. Ambiance is great, it's a tiny place with not a lot of tables, and service was very good. Great wine also. 5/5

Brick & Mortar has an unfortunate disconnect between the delicious sounding dishes on the menu and the food that was actually presented. The bouillabaisse was well prepared, but lacked the Thai flavor bomb that I was expecting from the dishes description. The I kept wanting to scoop up more broth hoping the flavors would kick in. The low point of our meal was the braised short rib with fat noodles. I found the tomatoes and Brussels sprouts to really clash with the overall composition of the dish. I’m not sure why they were placed together. The carpaccio of beef tenderloin may have been the winner, but I wish the stuffed ravioli was softer in texture. The off the mark food, along with the hard surfaced and confined interior spaces didn’t quite do it for me.

I was extremely disappointed. A hamburger and 2 glasses of wine was $60. Truffle fries were cold but the pretzel bun was nice. Music was so loud you couldn't have a conversation or even think.

I usually do not review but after all the hype I have to say something… out of 4 dishes not a thing was even mediocre… none of the pasta was cooked; chewy and cold, everything tasted like salt a ton of salt. We did not finish even 1 dish left more than 1/2 on each plate…. No one bothered to ask if it was good or if there was a problem. Literally left there and went to Toss and had an amazing salad. I love food and good food but after shopping in St Pete and the shop owners telling us to go here I was so disappointed. It seems like a place trying to hard to be hip and cool maybe it was an off night but it was a Friday and they had just opened 30 minutes prior.

Excellent dinner from apps to dessert! Bone marrow, bougie mussels, steak, black grouper, cavatelli and curry bouillabaisse... oh, and donut bread pudding.

Still the standard bearer in DTSP. Bar none, the most consistently excellent food served in the area. I have yet to have a "miss" on the menu and each and every special we've tried has been superb. Wine menu is small but interesting. The donut bread pudding is worth a visit on its own (as in, even if you have dinner somewhere nearby, go here for dessert, no really). Service is professional and well informed.

The best burger in St Pete hands down. This place is small and has a small menu but the food is great. Obviously I highly recommend the burger but the short rib is great too. No liquor bar but that’s fine, just know that going into it. Higher prices than average but most food items justify it. Definitely worth checking out!

Brick and Mortar has an ambient, chic, spacious atmosphere. The menu is only 1 page but is filled with so many tantalizing flavors that will stun anyone who appreciates amazing gourmet food. According to my friends they had the best duck/bread pudding/truffle fries/and salad in their life. I think that speaks for itself. Oh and the service was spot on too!

Spent my birthday weekend in St Pete and came for dinner on the Saturday. Excellent food and service. I ordered the carpaccio with ravioli, garlic shrimps and pork poutine to share. Nice presentation of the food. Well worth the money. The restaurant has a good vibe.

This restaurant was amazing. At first glance of the menu, I was wondering what would I order, but my group and I were looking for a new experience. The red snapper ceviche was out of this world. I also had the cavatelli pasta with mushrooms and I added shrimp. The flavors were on point and delicious. I paired it with the Astrolabe Sauvignon Blanc, which was smooth and rich. My friends tried the duck confit and cous cous, the poutine, and gambas al ajillo (I've never had beans so flavorful). I would highly recommend those. The seafood boullabaise and filet were ordered but I wouldn't say they were amazing. The filet was sent back because it was too salty and the boullabaise was eaten, but it had a very fishy taste. I would definitely go back to see what's new on the menu. The setting was intimate, dim lighting, and an atmosphere for great conversation. I didn't get any pics of the appetizers because we were so hungry and everything looked great. We slowed down a sec and took pics of the entrees.

What a great seasonal as well as artisanal restaurant. Service was knowledgeable & great, had the octopus, salmon special and donut bread desert. Yum, great memorable flavors. Rest areas accessible but through the shared business atrium space. I’ll be back, often!

👍 Great ambiance and service! Drinks are delicious! Food is cooked to order, so expect to stay a while and food to take longer than what you may be used to. Flavors were a strong 7/10, just because I’ve more authentic flavors in other places. Overall a nice place to check out in St. Pete!
