The food is hit or miss, I've been to multiple Barrio locations and they're all a little inconsistent. Some days you'll get some bomb food and other days it just falls short a bit. Still decent but the flavors and enjoyment are not always present. The atmosphere and service is quite fun and enjoyable.

Very Expensive $$$ Place! If you like McDonald's then this is the place for you! 8 Tacos & 2 Adult Beverages came to $65.00 + 20% tip grand total of $78 for McDonald's level of quality, the service was good but that's the only thing that was good, we keep trying this place because people say it is good but after 5 times we will not be coming back.

I frequently dine at Barrio, however yesterdays visit was very disappointing. Service was great, food not so much. Soft shell tacos tasted stale/old I don’t even think shells were heated. Tasted like they came straight from packaging then toppings were added. Also all 3 tacos were made wrong, was missing topping in all 3 tacos. All they had was the meat cheese and salsa. Slow down and make orders correctly cool the shells, it was not busy at all! Ordered a side of traditional guac and it tasted off as well. Not sure what was going on with food tasting old/off but normally food is phenomenal. Order drink of the month and it tasted like straight simple syrup one sip and I had to send it back. Wasn’t busy during visit yet drinks did seem to take a long time to be served. Don’t think I’ll be returning for awhile due to yesterdays visit.

Food wasn't like it normally has been in the past. Maybe today was an off day for them. Got 3 soft tacos and so did my sister we both was disappointed in the texture of the soft taco. It tasted like it was straight out of the bag and not heated. My friend got the drink special and all you tasted was the triple sec and not any type of liquor or the other flavors. Not impressed at our dining experience today. It will definitely be quite some time before we will try again.

I have come to this place several times and I had never had any problems until today I arrived and they never gave me a waiter until I found out that he is the bartender, we ordered him, we are still eating and we had not finished, I was even going to order the drinks when the bartender waitress comes with the account which he finds in very bad taste if he had not yet asked for the account and was going to continue consuming it, it is a good place but for things like that one does not return.

By far my favorite taco joint! Been coming here for years and it’s still the top spot for drinks, tacos, and hangs. Their salsa got a little weird when they made it shelf stable, but still the same flavor I’ve grown to love!

We are from San Diego so when it comes to tacos we have a solid standard. This place did not meet the standard. Not your average taco place. Food came out cold. Tortillas weren’t heated before tacos were made. Queso was salty and obviously reheated. The specialty shells don’t taste any different than a regular flour tortilla. Shrimp was fishy tasting. The only good thing about this place is the margaritas and service. They’d do better as a bar.

I liked the setup with the garage doors opening to provide that indoor outdoor feeling. The tacos were delicious. I tried the donut Hoyos and personally was not a fan. The syrup was too watery and therefore the donuts were not too sweet. The location was good and overall I would recommend this restaurant if one is looking to eat tacos. The service was amazing and Haylee did a great job with her recommendations!

Amazing tacos, wonderful staff and a hip atmosphere. It was my first time there so I was new to the way you order but it's very user friendly. The tacos were awesome, the salsas I ordered weren't as spicy as I thought (personal preference) but were very flavorful. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I liked pop punk, alternative playlists and the walls had cool Mexican sugar skull art on them. Great place to grab some tacos and a beer but a little pricey. All and all can't wait to go back.

I've heard so many great things about this place and was quite excited to try it out. However, I don't think I will go back. I don't know if it was after a rush or something, but there were tables by us that were not cleared off throughout almost our meal (and no, the table wasn't occupied when we got there either). There was a staff member vaping in the hallway by the bathroom too. The food and drink isn't bad, but honestly, that vaping was so off-putting and pungent that I lost my appetite.

We went for Brunch and it was an amazing experience. The brunch menu is unique, but you can also order anything on the menu during Brunch. The service was the best I've had in a long time, super friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.

It had been a while since we were last there. It did not disappoint. Food was amazing. Had a taco and a bowl. Way better than the other specialty taco places.

Get the "Stoner" taco shell, you won't regret! Also, 2 tacos is plenty. Crack sauce is where it's at! ❤️

First and only experience at Barrio it was definitely not what we expected. First off if you're looking for any type of authenticity this ain't it... The food was tolerable at best and definitely can hardly be considered tacos. Our waitress was great but I asked another staff member where the restroom was and she was extremely rude and rolled her eyes and clearly didn't want to be bothered doing her job.

I’m here quite frequently lately and the bartenders always make you feel welcomed and are attentive to your drinking/eating needs. Grateful for that! Also, Rowan makes the best drinks, crisp and fresh!

first time at this location, the staff was cool and friendly. i love barrios for many of reasons but last night my tacos just were not hitting like they usually are but i definitely recommend everyone to stop in and partake in the barrio turn up. the tacos are great any other time!

Food was very good. My taco was missing an ingredient that I was charged extra for but they took it off the bill. The server was very nice but she was overwhelmed as it got busier while we were there, and when she did not give me my proper change back and I commented she told me they don’t have change. I will definitely come back.

Late night munchies satisfied with some loaded tacos. The tacos can get quite expensive but they're loaded with meat so it'll fill you up with like 2. Overall, the food just feels like a higher quality version of taco bell and the cravings overlap completely haha. Food: 6/10 Vibes: 6/10 Service: 5/10 Value: 6/10

I'll be honest, this place is amazing, but you gotta eat it there! This is not a meal that I think takes home well unless you are willing to deconstruct and rewrap, as a heads up! A bit loud so not a place to take someone for a quiet intimate date, but an upbeat taco place with great food and a good atmosphere. Food came out really fast and every waitress was attentive to our table, not just "our" waitress. Price wasn't bad at all. Food drinks and queso for two with plenty of extra was about $22 a person.

First time here, I was not disappointed however, I do not understand what the hype is all about. Build your own tacos is pretty nice but it ends up to be pretty expensive as well. For 3 tacos and queso dip and 2 soda drinks, my bill was $43 bucks, $55 after tip. I'd rather eat at a steakhouse for that price. Loved how they bring chips and salsa to the table. My server provided wonderful service.

There was a 40 min wait to get in but the staff handled it so professionally that we didn't mind the wait. Chris, our waiter was super nice and kept checking on us as he passed by doing a million other things. Our drinks were kept full. Appetizers refilled. Chris is awesome! They kept the tables clean even though it was super busy. Food came and it was delicious! Loved the music being played. Great atmosphere.

Atmosphere is a bit weird for common folk like myself. The tacos were delicious, shout out to the cooks!! Waitress was very attentive and friendly. A bit pricey for smaller size tacos, but that's what they do. Good location on Madison Ave

Service was great, food was great. Awesome experience at every Barrio we've gone to. Simply put, you choose what you're getting and no addition or subtraction on a set item like a traditional restaurant. You're in control which, I think makes this establishment great from the get go.
