I came to Bicycle for my first ever bike fit before placing an order for a new bike. I was quite sure that my setup was almost perfect because I have never really felt any pain or discomfort on my bike (or at least that's what I thought), and... I had no idea how wrong I was. Lee was super nice and helpful. He explained a lot about my position on the bike, how I should be interacting with it, and helped me set everything up correctly. Getting a bike fit with Lee was probably the best cycling-related investment I have ever made.

First of all, amazing place. The store is elegant, not overwhelming. Great service, offering you something to drink at all times. Staff is exactly as I would want my staff to be - polite, straightforward, no bull. The bike fit itself was as I expected. I had a panoply of problems that had to be address and we had a field day. Cycling for me has been a very painful experience for me, and I could feel the difference right away. Plus they service the bike to apply all necessary changes. Not gonna lie, bit pricey after all the changes (specially in my case), but I see it as an investment. Adjusting a bike to my body will allow me to actually ride more frequently and start enjoying it. Plus, might even stop me from buying components thinking I can solve the problems by changing saddle. Overall, 5 stars. I now understand the "bike fit before buying" mantra.

Went to bicycle for some new shoes having been sliding around in a pair that I now know was a full size and a half too big. Was recommended shoes that fit and insoles for support along with a bunch of other great advice and recommendations. James is really professional and friendly and I would fully recommend anyone to get their cycling shoes from here. Great products and a great experience.

I had an excellent consultation with James at Bicycle. He is extremely thorough and detailed due to his fountain of knowledge. I instantly felt at ease and he was at no point pushy given this was my first endeavour to road cycling. He took great care and consideration over ensuring I was comfortable in the saddle, as well as the fit of my shoes. I went for the Cannondale Synapse and Lake shoes. I’d certainly recommend and will be back for more in future!

I had a bike fit this September with James which was my first ever experience of taking the plunge into getting a bike fit, I can truly say it was a great experience if I could leave Six stars then I would! The over experience is very personal, professional and knowledgeable, James really is passionate about cycling and getting the fit right without a doubt knows what he’s talking about and throughout the fit went above and beyond to get it right James approach was very relaxed and productive working thoroughly to understand your needs throughout the fit really focusing on the detail. At the end of the fit there are suggestions as to what you could invest in to get the fit as perfect as possible People often think at this point your pressured into buying ‘stuff’ however James made it clear there was zero pressure to purchase anything and allows to try out stuff to understand what you could invest in on your bike in the future which I felt was very professional also fitting the items there and then for no charge In the end I’m left with one question. Why didn’t I get a bike fit years ago?! I’m blown away at my bike fit and first impressions of my fit is I’m amazed at my comfort and efficiency on the bike in just the first ride; day and night difference and I look forward to returning to tweak it even further If you’re thinking about getting a bike fit reading this, book one with Bicycle. Andy is a bikefitting magician! I have never been particularly comfortable on a bike so I have always fiddled about with my position. Through the thorough bike fitting process I learned that I was sitting twisted on the saddle, causing me to pedal differently from side to side. Over time, I have developed side-to-side muscle imbalances believed to be because of this. My fit was only a week ago and I can already say my new position is so much better than it was before – I am very pleased. I am starting to sit much straighter in the saddle and feel squarer on the bike. Hopefully, over time, these muscle imbalances will start to even out. A bike fit is worth every penny and I would definitely recommend!

My partner and I recently had a bike fit with Andy. We have been cycling for years and always experienced different levels of discomfort on longer rides. We were embarking on a cycling trip in Belgium and decided it would be worthwhile getting a bike fit to ensure we would be more comfortable during the trip. The whole experience was very interesting and Andy has an incredible amount of knowledge on how you should be properly riding a bike. We both came away with many adjustments and some new bike parts, and overall a much improved cycling position. I’d definitely recommend this service to anyone who is serious about cycling.

My daughter and I had a double bike fit with James which was a wonderful and enlightening experience. Should have done this years ago, it would have paid for itself by preventing many trial and error purchases. The staff were all polite and helpful. I had my fit with James, he's as pleasant and knowledgeable as his appearances on YouTube suggest. Absolutely no hard sell of shoes or components even though they carry a good range of stock. Left with the best fitting pair of bike shoes I've ever had. From a few measurements and a look at my feet they were able to pick pretty much the best fitting shoes to within half a size, haven't had that at any other bike shop, it shows the difference you get when going to a specialist.

I left the session equipped with comprehensive insights necessary for the purchase of my new bike. I cannot emphasise enough how pivotal it is to prioritise a bike fitting prior to any purchase, otherwise I would have ended up with wrong size shoes and an oversized bicycle. I had a bike fit with Andy Fenn about month ago, a very interesting experience. Andy explained through each step of the process - it was very thorough: discussing experience as a cyclist, measuring me, measuring my feet, testing my flexibility amongst other things before even getting on the fitting jig. Some of the results were as expected, but other adjustments quite surprising! Now I've had time to ride my adjusted bike, and I'm so pleased. Straight away I could feel an improvement in my riding posture. The bike feels completely different and gave me far more confidence. Riding up hills is easier, the bike faster and far easier to ride. I can't believe the difference. I would recommend a bike fit to anyone serious about cycling.

If you like cycling and want to improve go and see James. Having cycled for 20 years and had no real issues I didn’t think a bike fit was really necessary. If only I’d gone 20 years earlier. Having spent lots of money and time chasing gains nothing else has come close to the improvements I’ve seen after 3 hours at Bicycle. James’ encyclopedic knowledge of, not just fitting, but all things cycling is incredible, matched only by the passion he shows for the sport and what he’s doing. It was a very enjoyable experience - I learnt a lot and I’m faster too :)

The level of service and work performed is excellent. The shoe fitting I had done last year has proven bang on for size and comfort. More recently the mechanical work completed on my road and gravel bikes has been to a very high standard. The online booking system is easily accessible and user friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I recently had a bike fit at Bicycle with Dan. This was my first fit with the aim of adjusting my position on the bike to be more comfortable for training and racing. The fit itself was very extensive including mobility testing and body metrics before even getting on the bike. Dan was very professional and patient especially with sizing the insoles required. By the end of the session I could feel a noticeable difference and was far more comfortable, and it was also visually evident as well. I would highly recommend Bicycle and Dan to anyone thinking of getting a fit anytime soon.

I had issues with front brake calliper alignment. bicycle. sorted it out for me by facing the mounts. Process was flawless and professional, starting from booking the appointment to picking up finished product. I wish I saw them earlier.

James is an fantastic fitter. Incredibly knowledgable and methodical with a great sense of humour. The fit session I had was quick and effective, he was able dial in my ISP on the bike and also optimise my cadence with a shorter crank. This was my first bike fit and i had a great experience. Bicycle providing a welcoming environment and professional service. Was nervous, but was put to ease by the friendly nature of the staff. I had a great fit session with Lee, he helped improve my comfort, efficiency and stability on my bike. Although i couldn't implement all the changes due to my budget constraints, he gave great advise on prioritising the changes to get the best out of the fit. Would highly recommend anyone to get a bike fit at Bicycle, even if you're a casual cyclist like myself.

Recently had a bike fit with Andy Fenn, I'd previously seen James several years ago but flying with my bike several times and making additional purchases the initial fit has been lost. I consulted James before purchasing a new bike and brought a Reilly that fits perfectly. I needed to purchase some news shoes and went into the fit expecting to be upsold, what I ended up leaving with was significantly cheaper than I expected to pay and is far more comfortable than shoes I've owned in the past. I was impressed with the attention to detail and communication both during the appointment and afterwards, before I'd even arrived home the measurements were emailed over. What I'm most satisfied with is that Andy was able to tell me exactly how to input the measurements directly into the Wahoo Kickr app, it then spits out numbers for the standover, saddle, setback, reach, stack height. Copying them onto my Kickr Bike was fool proof. Oh, and the coffee was superb too!

Great bike fit with Denver from Bicycle and all staff are friendly and enthusiastic. I’ve had a bike fit in the past but this was far more detailed and he worked from the feet up getting the new shoes and insoles sorted so that I have the right support stability and power transfer . I was surprised how much the bike I’d been using for 10 years was not right for me including bar width, crank length and saddle height . Im looking forward to getting the new components fitted and set up ready for the spring .

Wish I’d had a bike fit with James earlier! I’ve now ridden for a few weeks after my fitting and it’s made a tangible difference to both comfort and speed over some decent distances. It’s bought back the joy and passion, as it just feels great to be out pushing hard with a tuned bike and shoes that are working in harmony with me (and removed my concerns around a few niggling pains in my knee and neck). It terms of the process and experience it was clear and informative, very insightful, chilled and just great fun (along with lashings of good coffee). Finally the dogged focus and professionalism from James on getting everything as perfect as possible, whilst supporting various past injuries and the constraints of spending too much life behind a desk, was really impressive. Nothing was too much trouble to discuss and explore to find an improvement. I’d highly recommend investing in a quality bike fit with these guys.

I have really struggled over the past 3 years to find a reliable, honest, professional, go to bike shop and mechanic, and I can safely say Bicycle Richmond is the best. Eoin the mechanic is super knowledgeable, friendly and fair who I will be going to for all my future bicycle services.

Having now had a fit and subsequent purchase of a bike through bicycle I can safely say the whole business is friendly, comprehensive and professional. The fit itself, though pricey, was worth every penny and truly transformed the way I rode the bike. Small changes were made and it provided a genuine ‘new bike feeling’. Consulting on a separate purchase, James was honest and non-biased in his assessment of what he thought would work best for me. Once purchased, the bike was then collected with relevant parts and geometry all set to fit data, meaning it was perfect from the moment go. Would recommend bicycle to all.

I'd bought a new road bike over a year ago and felt i hadn't been getting the most out of the bike. Denver was able to transform my riding by adjusting my position. I now feel like i can cycle for days and i'm getting the most out of the bike. All the changes to position were clearly explained showing how they should help and at the end you're provided with a comprehensive set of measurements to replicate the position on any other bike. They were also able to source difficult to find parts through their suppliers to make sure a perfect fit is achieved. A fantastic service!

Had a bike fit session with Denver. He explained every step of the process to me as we did it and helped me understand the changes that we were making to my setup and how it would affect by cycling. He took the time to understand my injury history and worked that into the fit session. I would recommend getting a fit before you buy a bike here as the fit showed that I would not fit the bike sizes that the manufacturers suggest

I was really impressed with the bike fit I had with Bicycle. My fitter was very knowledgeable and plenty of time was taken going over every aspect of the fit. They were able to solve some knee pain I've had on the bike for a while, selected a more comfortable saddle, and improved the smoothness of my pedal stroke. I also learnt a lot as everything was explained in detail, and I was able to ask plenty of questions during the session. I'd recommend the fitting service at Bicycle to anyone, I should have done it years ago!

I had a bike fit with James in November 2023. This was the best cycling investment I have ever made. I was using a race bike which I now know was too long for me and making my back issues even worse. James also taught me that cycling shoes are meant to be comfortable and not make your feet sore and numb. I wish I'd done this sooner, the service was excellent. I'm now in the process of purchasing a new bike through the shop, in the knowledge that it will be the right size and setup up for me.

I had a Bike Fit at Bicycle Richmond with Denver Collins in January this year and was extremely happy with the service received, my bike has never felt so comfortable to ride. I’ve had numerous issues with fitting a bike due to historic injuries over the years and Denver was very generous with his time (he kindly went over the 3-hour slot of my fit due its complexity). He suggested numerous changes, saddle change, saddle positioning, handlebar width, crank length, cycling shoes, insoles etc. which have completed transformed my position and made my bike a joy to ride. Throughout the process Denver clearly explained each step and why it was worth trying x or y until we found the perfect solution. He even offered to set up a 2nd bike free of charge to align it to my Fit Data. I would highly recommend Bicycle Richmond to anyone looking for a very high-quality Bike Fit, even if you have any sort of injury history, the service there is excellent.

The service at bicycle has been, by far, the best I have EVER experienced!! The level of technical expertise and the quality of customer care are nothing short of extraordinary! I went to Bicycle after hearing very good things about their bike fits. I was greeted by several friendly faces, offered a barista coffee on arrival and was led to the bike fit rooms which were full of state of the art kit. Claire took my bike fit and she was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions with thoroughness. I left feeling really happy that i've finally got the right position for me on the bike, including fixing issues with my current shoes. I couldn't recommend Claire and Bicycle enough.

A very thorough and meticulous bike fit with James. Impressed with how much emphasis is placed on cleat position, along with reach and drop, plus proper saddle placement over the bottom bracket. Impressive 'post-fit' follow-up as well. Recommended.
