I'm thoroughly impressed by this hotel - service, rooms, food, pool, and lounge. All of the staff go out of their way to take care of the guests from the moment they enter the hotel. I'm still in the middle of my stay but felt compelled to leave a review because of the perfect time so far. The breakfast was delicious, with all the staples of a proper English breakfast, plus other cooked to order breakfast favorites. The rooms were impeccable, getting all the little details right. The air conditioning was refreshingly quiet and generally unnoticeable. The well-designed lighting includes a night light for the bathroom that shows you the way without stirring you from sleep.

Amazing stay. The breakfast option is totally worth it....great food options and very fun decor. The Ros were great.... adjoining rooms for the kids to enjoy time away. The entire staff has been extremely friendly and helpful. The pool and gym are great as well. Room service has been quick and delicious...we can't stop ordering fries.....

This should not be a five star hotel. This hotel doesn’t deserve five stars. At best this is a four stars and even that’s a stretch. We stayed here 8 nights and for the money we paid this was not value for money. Our room had no light looking at a wall. They wouldn’t change rooms, even we stayed 8 nights. Customer service is below average. The rooms are nothing special and certainly not of a five star standard. The beds are good. Nothing else. I would not stay here again. The only good thing besides the bed is the location. But there are other hotels in the area for much better value.

This is a great Central London hotel. My room was lovely as was the lobby. Breakfast was included in my rate and they served an excellent buffet. Although my hotel was next to the elevator, it was very quiet. The hotel is very new and clean. They also have a very cute bar in the lobby that specialized in Gin & Tonics. Highly recommend!

Everything about this hotel is four star, so good but nothing exceptional. The Pros: • Excellent location away from the city centre, five minutes walk from the Tate Modern and River Thames (opposite St Paul’s Cathedral), though you won’t be able to see any of those from your room. • Rooms are a good size, if somewhat businesslike and lacking in imagination. • There is a swimming pool, but it is borderline cold - as is best for someone there to swim a quick twenty lengths before breakfast. • Nice gym. The Cons: • The Executive Lounge (which you get access to for free with Diamond status, or you can just pay extra) is much like a business lounge at an airport. Except there is very little in the way of food or drink for much of the day (perhaps I can only recommend it for 6-8pm, when there is free wine). • The jacuzzi is literally part of the almost-cold swimming pool, so impossible to relax in as you just start shivering eventually. • No steam room nor sauna. • No basic amenities in the room (5* hotel!), so you have to call reception and wait if you want a toothbrush, comb, shaver etc. I have stayed in many truly incredible and unforgettable five star Hilton hotels around the world, so it would be disingenuous to give the Hilton London Bankside anything more than four or four plus status. If you found my review or photos helpful please leave a quick thumbs up 👍 Thank you

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in a while! We were greeted warmly at the door and the service here is top notch at every step of the way... our whole family proclaimed the beds and linens the most comfortable we have ever slept on! Don't even get me started on the rain shower - wow... the breakfast buffet is delicious and Distillery bar a great place for a night cap. This place is pricey, but then so is everything in London.

Excellent hotel located in central London, close to the Borough markets. We stayed here for three nights and had a great time. Staff were lovely (were greeted by multiple people on arrival and given Prosecco), rooms were clean and spacious. Would definitely come back next time we are in London.

Amazing service, very well kept and tidy rooms, and we really enjoyed our stay. I would strongly recommend to not skip breakfast - it is quite an experience. Members of the staff at the reception were really nice and that adds to the good vibes we had during our stay there with my wife.

I stayed at Hilton London Bankside in March 2023, and it was a fantastic experience. The staff at the front desk was very helpful. The hotel's location is perfect, close to Tate Modern, St. Paul's Cathedral, and even within walking distance to Tower Bridge. The junior suite was spacious, though the view wasn't spectacular. I loved the breakfast at Oxbo—it was fantastic and offers great value for the price! I recommend it to everyone, even if you're not staying at the hotel. The price was reasonable. The lounge was alright for afternoon tea, but the evening cocktail was amazing. Just a tip: the lounge gets busy quickly, so go early. My overall experience was positive. I highly recommend it for a comfortable and reasonably priced stay in London.

Amazing hotel with great location. I never thought of the bankside as a good location for touring London. Convenient location to the tube, surrounding restaurants, convenience stores, local pubs, Tate Modern, The Globe and millennium bridge. The executive lounge was well worth it after days of touring. My son loved it. And surprisingly had good vegetarian options in the lounge. Kids' candy cart. And the pool was exactly as advertised, and well worth it for families. And no reservation for pool (unlike many other hotels in London). The rooms were very clean and updated. Do not expect great view. But all the other benefits of the hotel made this stay great for us. The staff was very helpful in all respects.

Hilton London Bankside is a wonderful hotel. We stayed in a family room (two connecting rooms) and it was superb. Upon arriving, the reception area was lovely and smelled fantastic. When we got in our room, they put special things in our room for the kids (stuffed animal, blanket, kids soap and mini robes & slippers). A special shout-out goes to the concierge team: Our luggage was delayed from Italy, and they worked tirelessly with the courier company to reunite us with our bags. This is something that individuals would normally need to do, but they handled so that we could focus on enjoying our stay. It's also worth noting that the breakfast each morning was amazing. I haven't eaten breakfast in close to 15 years (although my family does). I couldn't resist eating. They had everything you could possibly imagine in the buffet, including made-to-order pancakes, waffles, omelets, etc. I couldn't be more satisfied with our stay and the staff. I've already recommending the hotel to numerous people.

We had the best time at this hotel on our long weekend in London. Every member of staff was friendly, attentive and good at what they did. Family connecting room was perfect, breakfast was brilliant, the bar was a great place to relax and the gents on the door and the concierge looked after us very well. My son and I also had a great time in the swimming pool. First time visit...it will not be our last 😀

We really enjoyed our stay but sadly a few things let the hotel down: The beds were comfortable but appeared to be 2 beds pushed together and were quite creaky which isn’t really up to standard for the price point. The pool was a big disappointment. We went down an hour before closing and there were no staff, the pool area itself was overrun and very messy, it was impossible to use and so we left - a big part of why we picked the hotel was the pool so this was a major let down. The hotel was informed it was a birthday trip, we weren’t expecting anything but some acknowledgement of this would have been appreciated, something you would usually expect from a 4/5 star hotel. The rooms were very dark, even with all the lighting on they felt took dark and it was a little irritating for getting ready in the mornings. We loved the breakfast choice and standard, the showers were amazing and the rooms were well appointed and very clean, staff were friendly and the location is great, not sure we’d return just based on the plethora of hotel offerings in the area and the disappointment with some of the facilities/experiences.

It was a wonderful stay, even for just a night. The room was lovely, the staff fantastic. This was the best executive lounge I've visited so far. Any interaction with their top-notch staff was so kind and genuine. Special kudos go out to Unni, Guest relations manager, who worked my check-in. They worked extra hard to get me in a room, even with my early arrival. Please ensure he gets the kudos he deserves for going above and beyond.

It’s hard to score this hotel so low because on the whole, it was great. Reception was smart and on arrival, the reception team were welcoming and professional. Only one of our rooms was available early but that was perfect as we were able to leave our cases, change and swim before heading off into town. Unfortunately, when our children’s room was ‘ready’ it smelt terribly of cigarette smoke. I raised this quietly with the young man on reception and he couldn’t have been less interested. I asked him to open the windows and air the room (guests can’t do this as they are locked) but he kind of shrugged his shoulders and looked helpless. We were heading out for the evening so I just asked him to make sure it was sorted by the time we got back. Unfortunately it wasn’t rectified, nobody else brought it up with me, I had no email or text about it. It was late so we just headed to bed. Nothing was done the next day. On check out the staff were all lovely again, offered us mulled wine, mince pies and chocolates for the children which were all lovely touches. So a great experience was let down. 1. I’m surprised none of the staff noticed someone smoking in the room 2. The cleaners must have noticed and chose to do nothing 3. It is apparently inspected by a manager after cleaning, don’t know how they didn’t notice, also must have chosen to do nothing 4. Disinterested receptionist (only one, the rest were all fabulous) didn’t even make an apology or offer to change rooms Shame really.

Fantastic hotel. The room was beautiful, especially the bathroom. We had some difficulty getting the ventilation to work properly in the room. The pool has a nice size for swimming, however, the whirlpool is the same temperature as the pool which was too cold for my taste. The gym is quite large. Breakfast choices were really good. Staff is very friendly.

This is a great hotel, great food, great location, etc, etc. But you can find that in any review. I want to take a moment to shout out concierge John, who was outstanding. He made our trip so unbelievably special from the moment we walked in the door. We were traveling with our toddler and he made her feel like the center of the universe. A small gift of a stuffed fox became a beloved companion for the rest of our trip. He also jumped into action when we realized our travel stroller had wheel issues after our flight and set his engineer to work to try and fix it. While they were unable to, it was his desire to immediately help that just blew us away. I've traveled a ton in my life and have never met someone like John who went above and beyond in every little thing he did. He noticed our daughter loved drinking milk out of the takeaway coffee cups and provided her with one that looked exactly the same but was plastic and more permanent. It's little things like this that elevate a guest's experience from good to great. John - if you read this - thank you!

Good hotel with convenient location near Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe Theater. Rooms are comfortable, and clean but dark. I wish there was a floor lamp to add more light to the room. We were on the 7th floor and heard strange noises throughout the night and early morning. (Construction? Cleaners? Not sure what.) Breakfast was decent. My son loved the pool and I liked that I was able to watch him through the window from the gym. Service was good overall.

Stayed here a few times, the service is usually consistent and when there are issues, they resolve pretty quickly. The rooms are quite typical for Hilton rooms; nicely appointed and quite well maintained. The executive lounge is very pleasant with snacks and drinks available throughout the day. Nice place to work or sit with friends for a peaceful drink. Oxbo restaurant is used for breakfast, breakfast is always good with a nice selection of hot and cold foods. The pool is of a decent size for a London hotel. It's OK for a swim but has limited seating around to pool to relax. No rooms have a particularly good view.

Delightful surprise. Behind Tate Modern and walking distance from Southward tube station. Many grocery stores next to the hotel. Service was excellent and the pool in B2 floor was great and for a London hotel exceptional. The location can be excellent but if one wants to see the sights then this hotel is not in an ideal location.

This is a great hotel. The super-attentive and friendly staff are great. This attitude starts at the hotel manager. It was very nice. The bar is pretty cool. It's gin-centric with 100 options to choose from.

This is a really fabulous and fabulously located hotel! I stayed in a beautifully appointed King Deluxe room and appreciated a number of touchs that are not so common in hotels these days. There was a personal card introducing the member of staff who had cleaned my room. My bed was turned down for me whilst I was out and a small floor towel and complimentary slippers provided. The staff at the check in and the concierge staff were unfailingly polite and attentive throughout my stay. Breakfast was excellent, both in its quality and in the range of options available.

I’ve stayed here a few times since I used to live in this area, and while the location is good, it’s simply not worth it— the level of service here is too much of a gamble. Last time my room was dirty and the front desk staff weren’t kind (one woman actually insulted my outfit and said I couldn’t possibly be on business travel?? When I was in jeans a blazer). Wouldn’t recommend which is a shame!

Fabulous hotel, took this as a cheaper alternative for the other two nights we stayed in London (first night was in the shard). Excellent hotel from start to finish, new modern and stylish with a great swimming pool. Evening meal wasn't that great but we were tired and couldn't be bothered to venture out.

Often given reviews online as the best Hilton in the UK and after a fantastic stay we can see why. The room, pool area, and executive lounge were well cared for and overall had a great vibe. Location was perfect for us. Thanks to all the staff for helping make this a special stay.

Didn't sleep there. WISHED I had. Beautiful hotel, heck out the gorgeous Christmas decorations. All were Insta ready! super helpful and friendly staff. I went for a bottomless brunch before Christmas. Such fun, we even had live music, dancing and of course singing our hearts out. Staff attentive, and food was delightful. Highly recommend

Unfortunately, my experience was not very positive, and for the price paid, I expected much more. The rooms are large and spacious, the bed quite comfortable, and the bathroom very spacious; generally, I’m satisfied. However, the view was of a construction site, so terrible. The Hilton app’s room-opening feature is very convenient, but I have a concern: is it enough to have only the room number and surname to activate the unlocking via smartphone? I’d say there are some security issues here. The location is exceptional, with 3 supermarkets near the hotel. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff (only the breakfast staff) was very kind and helpful. I cannot say the same for the reception and entrance staff, who were rude and discourteous on all occasions I dealt with them, the same goes for the entrance personnel. Moreover, the Wi-Fi is very slow. For a 5-star hotel, it’s unacceptable that the reception staff is rude, which is the reason for this negative review.

The shine taken off a lovely stay due to Hilton both charging for the hotel stay and then further holding the same amount on my card. This has meant that a there is a pending transaction of over £1000 on my credit card that I cannot clear due to Hilton stating they have no record of this. This is despite discussing this with their team prior to checking out on the 20th of November and being told it would be released within 4 to 5 days. Given the time of year this has meant I am without £1045 to spend and it has caused immense stress. I have spoken with various members of the team since and emailed head office with absolutely no success.

Clean and smart hotel in a nice location south of the river. A short walk from Waterloo and London Bridge. Rooms are very nice, bar is decent. Check out took ages.

Very comfortable, friendly and well organized hotel. The bar was buzzing and we felt very chilled there in the evenings. Breakfast was really world class in terms of variety and presentation. Overall we could see this hotel is managed with passion which shows by how the teams all gel. Thanks Hilton Bankside. We’ll be back.

Another excellent stay at this lovely hotel. Beautiful rooms & contemporary decor throughout which is extremely well maintained & still feels brand new. The pool is fantastic & the breakfast excellent. Great location. Special thanks to Kim for making our stay extra special. Highly recommend.

Overall the experience was mediocre. It’s in a decent area close to the river, about 8mins walk to the tube which is not terrible, but with our luggage I wish it’s closer. Took 1.5hours each way from the airport. Received email notification that we were upgraded to the deluxe room, but they still gave us a very basic room on 3rd floor with a view looking out to an alleyway. Room was small, nothing like the pictures online, bathroom was updated and very nice. We arrived early and was told they will send us a text when our room was ready. Waited 2 hours in the lounge, never got the text so we went out. Room was ready when we got back in the evening and front desk just handed over the keys without any rundown. There were no acknowledgement of my Diamond status and at check-in nor any briefing of where's breakfast, breakfast times, happy hour times etc. Still never received the promised text that our room was ready. Breakfast was a nice spread albeit exactly the same every morning. It was ok but I’d stay somewhere else next time

Our stay at the Hilton Bankside in London was phenomenal! We had such a nice stay thanks in large part to the staff. They made us feel very cared for and gave us great recommendations for our time in London. The breakfast was excellent and the pool was perfect for my family! The room was large and comfortable. It was close to everything without being overwhelmed by the busy traffic in London. Definitely recommend!

Breakfast is amazing- totally worth the stay. The pool was the best- kids loved it! The concierge service and front desk team are super- very friendly and always willing to help. And for those interested… great Bar with a full menu of drinks.

This place was SUCH a score for us on our recent trip to London. Walking distance away from a couple different underground stations, making it a perfect location for someone who wants to get to a bunch of different places with a quickness. The staff was BEYOND accommodating too. Big props to Alessandra at the front desk who was so sweet and helpful and super clutch - she was even able to get us an early check-in after a long overnight flight from the states. Beds were so comfortable, and the breakfast was delish and definitely worth the $20 add-on. Truly could not have asked for anything more from a home away from home.

A well located hotel near to several bars and restaurants. It's also about a 5 minute walk to the river and several tube stations. The rooms are decorated to a high finish, they are spacious and contain plenty of accessories for your stay like tea and coffee, slippers, dressing gowns and an umbrella. The staff were all very helpful and couldn't do enough for the guests. There is a spacious gym and pool that can be used. The breakfast has a large selection of food to choose from. There is a bar and restaurant which I ate in, I had a burger which was £18 and a pint of IPA is £9. The lager is about £7.50.

This was a great hotel! The service was excellent. The rooms and common areas were always spotless and clean. It is located on the southern side of London, so getting a taxi or Uber was sometimes a little challenging. But all said, everything else outweighed that slight issue. One reason for that issue may have also been the Queen's Jubilee that was currently going on. The underground and train station was within an easy walking distance. My one complaint was regarding the food availability and menu for room service. I was a bit disappointed, as it was a bit too much on the outlandish side regarding options. Sometimes simple is best. I tried to order a plain cheese and tomato sauce flatbread pizza and was told they didn't have tomato sauce to accommodate. Simple I know, but if you're trying to bring in families, I feel there needs to be set common items available for kids and adults. Outside of that one complaint, loved it!

From check in to check out, this really was a 5 star visit. Front desk were friendly and helpful, my room was ready early, the hotel decor is very modern and plush. Room was clean and comfortable and the sound proofing is first class. Never heard any noise from the street, corridor or other rooms. Had a drink in the bar which is very well done out and has a wide selection of drinks. Later on had a glass of very nice wine in the executive lounge but didn't try any of the complementary food but it looked good. Really was a fantastic stay and glad I chose the Hilton Bankside.

Stayed for a long weekend as a family in a one-bedroom suite, the room was decently sized for the location, large bathroom and comfortable bed. We chose the place because of its vegan food offering which was better than average definitely, even if no vegan mayo with the fries which would have been nice... (And easy to do) Service was top-notch all around, have to specifically call out Xaverie who remembered our breakfast order from day-to-day, was lovely with our child and just generally made sure we were well looked after. Will stay again.

We stayed as a family of four in rooms 323 & 324 which are connecting rooms. Both kid's beds had been specially made up for their stay, there were cheese and biscuits in our room and a lovely handwritten card welcoming us - which was a very nice touch. All staff we encountered were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from. The leisure facilities are very good with a nice swimming pool and gym to use. We would highly recommend the hotel to anyone who stays here. The Ogino-Stamford family

Amazing hotel certainly the best hotel I have stayed in, the staff are very attentive and looked after us really well. The rooms are spacious, well decorated, the showers are superb and the bed is really comfortable. Breakfast was gorgeous, all you can eat from a huge selection of food. If you are staying in London this hotel is in an ideal location and we highly recommend it especially the beautiful swimming pool.

Very nice hotel in great location. Exec lounge is nicest I have seen. Breakfast was superb with a great variety. Pool is very nice, but don't be fooled in thinking there is a spa/hot tub/jacuzzi..... it is really just a corner of the pool with seats and jets. Frankly a waste of space... jets and seats are not an adder to the cool water! Disappointing!!

Excellent hotel. Whilst being a Hilton it has the feel of an independent hotel rather than a generic chain and the staff always go out of their way to make you welcome. John and his concierge team especially.

Lovely big Room, very friendly staff, would highly recommend. I had the pleasure of executive lounge definitely adding that touch again. Only negative is the fridge in mini bar isn't cold. Will be back.
