Absolutely
shocking
surgery!!
My
confused
and
poorly
father
has
entered
the
surgery
alone
today
feeling
frightened
because
he
has
passed
out
twice
(once
for
half
an
hour!!)
and
they
have
sent
him
back
home
to
do
an
e-consult.
Where
the
hell
is
the
duty
of
care?!
Sending
a
vulnerable
man
with
a
heart
condition
away
from
the
surgery
to
walk
back
home
again
on
his
own
knowing
that
he
has
been
passing
out!?
This
surgery
is
the
worst
that
I
have
ever
been
unfortunate
enough
to
encounter.
Reporting!!!
Edited
to
add
that
after
years
of
awful
care
here,
snippets
of
which
I
will
add
below,
my
father
has
finally
left
this
surgery.
The
care
he
has
since
been
receiving
at
Thornhill
has
been
phenomenal
and
is
a
standard
of
care
to
aspire
to!
I
would
HIGHLY
recommend
that
Ladies
Walk
engage
in
discussions
with
Thornhill
in
order
to
critically
review
their
own
practices
and
make
essential
changes.
At
62
years
old
and
suffering
from
extreme
arthritic
pain
a
GP
at
Ladies
Walk
told
my
father
that
she
wouldn’t
give
him
a
sick
note
because
he
could
change
his
full
time
manual
job
and
work
in
a
cafe
for
a
few
hours
a
day!
He
was
suffering
a
flare
in
pain
that
made
it
difficult
for
him
to
stand
and
walk
for
20
minutes!
After
a
flu
infection
and
struggling
with
fever
and
chesty
cough
he
was
sent
for
a
chest
x-ray.
He
didn’t
hear
anything
from
the
GP
surgery
so
called
them
a
week
later
to
be
told
by
a
receptionist
that
his
x-ray
was
clear.
Still
extremely
ill
3
weeks
after
that
he
went
back
to
the
GP
to
find
that
his
x-ray
was
in
fact
NOT
clear
and
he
had
been
left
suffering
pneumonia
for
all
that
time.
He
was
given
antibiotics
but
the
infection
had
scarred
so
badly
that
his
lungs
have
been
affected
since.
At
68
years
old
and
suffering
chronic
cough
he
was
prescribed
medication
for
something
else
that
is
contraindicated
in
people
with
chronic
cough.
The
cough
worsened
to
an
extreme
level,
sometimes
making
him
sick
and
always
restricting
his
ability
to
leave
the
house.
He
was
prescribed
several
different
inhalers
over
12
months
with
no
improvement.
On
transfer
to
Thornhill
surgery
he
was
taken
off
the
contraindicated
medication
and
his
cough
improved
over
the
course
of
one
month
to
a
mild
level.
After
receiving
an
apology
from
the
practice
for
sending
him
away
alone
knowing
he
was
having
fainting
attacks
he
witnessed
the
reception
staff
treating
another
patient
in
exactly
the
same
way.
This
was
the
last
straw
for
him
and
he
found
a
new
GP
surgery
to
transfer
to
immediately.
There
is
no
support
here
for
elderly
or
tech
naïve
patients
to
access
GP
appointments.
My
father
is
a
polite
gentleman
but
was
consistently
met
with
rude,
abrasive,
unreasonably
defensive
receptionists
who
were
unwilling
to
help
him
access
care
that
he
desperately
needed.
His
health
has
improved
dramatically
since
leaving
this
practice.
