This was a really good practice when we joined a few years ago, but sadly, since becoming part of Living Well it has become virtually unusable. The doctors and nurses are great and the staff helpful but trying to book appointments is a really traumatic experience. It is very normal to wait 25 mins on hold and then be told there are no appointments available. It is easier to drive to the surgery to book an appointment than ring. Supposedly, online booking is available but I have spent half an hour going round in circles and been totally unable to book anything. As soon as I can find an alternative, we're leaving!

Can’t make an appointment to see my doctor, even when I go to the surgery I’m not allowed to make an appointment to see her and that’s the doctor that they appointed to me. Then changes to my medication without telling me or knowing my symptoms or illness. Refuse a repeat prescription without telling me why, seems that they are working on out of date information and still are. I’m in so much pain that I’m having living. Do they care? On top of all this a get a text about 1 of my problems that said “ Please be aware, the secretarial team are currently working through a backlog of letters, it is currently taking up to six weeks to send refer-rals.” and that’s before the hospital see the request. Judge for your self good or bad or?

Absolutely rubbish doctors surgery you would be better off going anywhere else but here. We were 13 minutes late to an appointment because we have a baby and things don't always go as planned but you would think that they would take this into consideration. In the end it was the 3 minutes it took to get the baby out of the car that made them not see my partner. It doesnt seem to be a problem if they are the ones that let you sit in the waiting room for 1 1/2 hours (with a 10 week old baby). This place is a joke, all of my family have been with this surgery since it opened but sadly all of them have now switched. Honestly I've had more useful wet paper bags.

Do nothing but try to palm you off on to other surgery's. Was given a reference for mental health twice both times I was told they would contact me (never happened) anytime I have tried to book an appointment I'm told I've phone to late or to early or it's too booked. Or the waiting list is over 3 weeks(can't possibly tire anytime Ive walked in to make an appointment it's dead empty) the handful of times i have managed to get an appointment when arriving it's immediately obviously I'm the first and only person to come in. Often more receptionist then doctors or nurses in the building. THIS SURGERY IS MORE LIKELY TO CAUSE YOU MORE PROBLEMS THEN EVEN ATTEMPTED TO AID YOURS

I struggle to give even 1 star. I rarely have to access NHS services but having been with this surgery since Martin Lewis joined Margaret Garmen I have noticed a considerable change in the service offered. I have waited nearly 10 days for an adequate response to an E consult request and now feel my only option is a walk in centre or A and E ....neither of whom need me to add to their problems. I am sorry to say that I will be looking for another surgery

Always very quiet in there yet they are busy to assist. Long wait even when you have a booked appointment. The phone lines are always busy. I have never seen the same doctor twice. The requests through e-consult get ignored. The service is very poor and unprofessional. All the reviews just talk for themself.

Had an appointment today with Dr Ben whoever at thornhill road ladies walk in. Dr was 20 minutes late and was the rudest doctor I have ever come across. I was in there for about 4 minutes of which he opened the door whilst I was talking and said he doesn't have time. I wanted to know about previous referrals and he said I haven't got time as I busy. I am extremely unhappy with the service I received or should I say the service I didn't receive. I won't be going to Ladies walk in on thornhill road ever again. I was utterly discussed. I have a few health problems and just wanted to get them sorted out. I would of given this experience a minus 100 stars. The appointment was for someone else I just went with them.

Absolutely shocking surgery!! My confused and poorly father has entered the surgery alone today feeling frightened because he has passed out twice (once for half an hour!!) and they have sent him back home to do an e-consult. Where the hell is the duty of care?! Sending a vulnerable man with a heart condition away from the surgery to walk back home again on his own knowing that he has been passing out!? This surgery is the worst that I have ever been unfortunate enough to encounter. Reporting!!! Edited to add that after years of awful care here, snippets of which I will add below, my father has finally left this surgery. The care he has since been receiving at Thornhill has been phenomenal and is a standard of care to aspire to! I would HIGHLY recommend that Ladies Walk engage in discussions with Thornhill in order to critically review their own practices and make essential changes. At 62 years old and suffering from extreme arthritic pain a GP at Ladies Walk told my father that she wouldn’t give him a sick note because he could change his full time manual job and work in a cafe for a few hours a day! He was suffering a flare in pain that made it difficult for him to stand and walk for 20 minutes! After a flu infection and struggling with fever and chesty cough he was sent for a chest x-ray. He didn’t hear anything from the GP surgery so called them a week later to be told by a receptionist that his x-ray was clear. Still extremely ill 3 weeks after that he went back to the GP to find that his x-ray was in fact NOT clear and he had been left suffering pneumonia for all that time. He was given antibiotics but the infection had scarred so badly that his lungs have been affected since. At 68 years old and suffering chronic cough he was prescribed medication for something else that is contraindicated in people with chronic cough. The cough worsened to an extreme level, sometimes making him sick and always restricting his ability to leave the house. He was prescribed several different inhalers over 12 months with no improvement. On transfer to Thornhill surgery he was taken off the contraindicated medication and his cough improved over the course of one month to a mild level. After receiving an apology from the practice for sending him away alone knowing he was having fainting attacks he witnessed the reception staff treating another patient in exactly the same way. This was the last straw for him and he found a new GP surgery to transfer to immediately. There is no support here for elderly or tech naïve patients to access GP appointments. My father is a polite gentleman but was consistently met with rude, abrasive, unreasonably defensive receptionists who were unwilling to help him access care that he desperately needed. His health has improved dramatically since leaving this practice. Ladies Walk - DO BETTER!

I would rate no star if I can.The reception is so rude and they always gives wrong appointments. I book an appointment for a vaccination. However, the nurse they booked for me is not qualified for injection. I am really annoyed by the staff there and they are so unhelpful. I tried to complain about the problem but they give no respect and not even a ‘sorry’ .

Would give a minus number if possible.. one year here still never seen a GP.. 111 said get an urgent appointment with GP.. rang them and they said GP would call back one week later and still waiting. Guess we have different meanings to the word "urgent", let's hope the nerve damage I have doesn't get too bad by the time they bother to get back to me.

My communication has been on behalf of my now deceased Mother and currently my father.i requested under FOI act my father's records on 22/9/2022, after a few week's chased the practice manager.who informed Me I would get an acknowledgement of request when they commence the search. After several calls and request for the practice manager to call me back..nothing.. I called recently Dec 29th and Jan 5th chasing.and have tried to contact today , however getting automated message to call back due to being busy. The. service prior to my mother passing was not good and its not improved. I need the practice (manager) to fulfil the FOI

Been going here since 1986 have seen various Drs but have own Dr too This COVID-19 has taken the heart out of the surgery, a face to face is a rarity, and spots to see a human are like hen's teeth, but hoping things start to get back to how it was.

Have been sending e-consults to this surgery for several years, trying to help my very elderly deaf father.. I've given up trying to telephone "your are 21st in the queue" by the time they answer my batteries in the phone have died! Can't speak to anyone between 12 noon and 2pm they are 'closed' try phoning after that and if by some lucky chance you get through you only speak to someone who can't put the mouthpiece close enough to their mouth so you can hear what they are saying! twice now I've been told the Dr will phone you back I guess that's all well and good if they could have got my telephone number correct, the number was repeated to her 3 times. Must be equally annoying for the doctors! I could go on, basically two stars is generous.

Since becoming a partnership the surgery has failed massively. E-consults can only be made during restricted hours and hours when you could call anyway, which also takes forever. Communication is a massive failure. Made a complaint directly but the system is still failing. O have added 1 extra star for the MH practitioner who is an asset to the practice and the reason I haven’t yet moved.

Blood test results on Patient Access came back as abnormal. Phoned for a follow up, told to use econsult. Waited three days to receive a text from a GP telling me they are normal and in future to use the Patient Access App to view my results. I explained on econsult my concern as my father has a blood disorder which could be genetic. I looked back at previous blood results and in Feb 2022 I noticed bloods came back the same, abnormal but this wasn't followed up! I looked the other day and they've disappeared i am on the verge of alerting CQC. To not be telephoned to discuss your concerns is appalling.

I have found since Covid that this surgery have become less and less competent. I got a phone call from a nurse about my blood pressure ( she was absolutely fantastic by the way) I got sent a new prescription to go with my other blood pressure tablets. I told her about my body (full body) getting pins and needles and how my breathing is bad . She told me to ring surgery for an appointment. I received a call back from her 10 minutes later stating that I must ring surgery and make an appointment. So I rang surgery and they told me to send an e consult. I tried to send an e consult but when I put in my conditions it kept referring me to ring surgery …. So I rang surgery again and after the receptionist talked to the doctor about my condition. She told me to do an e consult I told her that I tried and it kept telling me to ring surgery and she said that I have to e consult under something else and sadly I don’t have that option when I go on the app … so everyday I am suffering and getting worse because my surgery make me feel that I’m nothing but a complainer …my husband does an e consult and gets a phone call from a doc straight away . They have responded to him with appointments and e consult but they treat me as if I’m a winger and I don’t matter so what’s the bloody point

If I could give no stars then my god I would. I have never in my life witnessed so much neglect from a GP surgery. For years my mental health has deteriorated and I have been fobbed with medication and not a single bit of help. Im they referred me to the mental health team and again they have failed to keep to their promises and my problems have gone unseen and untreated. I have just waited 3 days to speak to someone about my mental health and me feeling suicidal and again I have been fobbed off. I’ve been signed off for 6 weeks and that is it. No medication review no nothing. A telephone conversation with a doctors named Mr Hughes who asked me what I wanted them to do. I am not a doctor. I have turned to my Gp for help as I am at a loss of what to do and they ask me what I want from them. To reach out and ask for help is massive in itself but to not be heard and listened to is damn right degrading and so disheartening. It seems to be they wait for you to put a plan in place to end your life and actually see it through until you get help. My mother even got fobbed off for a year with steroid injections in her shoulder as she had pain and discomfort. Turns out a year on the pain was actually lung cancer and she died 8 months later as it spread to her brain and there was nothing anyone could do. If they investigated and put her in for scans at the beginning when she was complaining about the pain, maybe just maybe something could’ve been done. I will be escalating this further as this practice has caused nothing but stress for me and my family. I do not and would not recommend this surgery to anyone.

I just had an face to face appoitment with Fatima Manji and it was terrible! Came there with anxiety and heart papilations, she asked me few useless questions and left me even more scared and confused about my health then i was before i went there. She coudn't answer any of my questions or conserns, she basically said that if i need some health advice or help i have to go to A&E? And at the end said some weird stuff like 'its better to seek help than suffer in silence' If this what you called a health care then literally there is more help if you google your own symptoms. Waste of time, left me scared

Just got off the phone to a lovely receptionist to help my dad with his jab and she was great help! Arranged the appointment closer to my dad and made sure everything was sorted! Thank you 4/7/23 - 9am

Staff are not helpful, all they tell you to do is e-consults. The e-consult system is ineffective as they don't read them properly told them when I was available and then phoned me when I was unavailable and had to start again! Can't even walk into the surgery and make an appoinment to see a doctor! Absolute nonsense, no wonder the RSH and A&E are full of people with minor ailments cause they can't see their own doctor.

The worst doctors ever they don’t even allow the phone to ring!! you just can’t ever get through and this is disgusting and appalling especially when trying to get help with a minor .

Joined this practice a few weeks ago. Initially struggled to get an appointment or adequate help through the e-consult system, which in my experience is commonplace these days. However, once I brought this to their attention, I have found the GP service is good, caring and helpful. My experience of the reception staff on the four occasions I have visited, has been excellent. Also caring, and very helpful in finding solutions to any issues I was having.

Brand-new to the area. Joined this surgery and have to say the care and attention I have been given is exemplary. I have multiple health issues and I have always had so much time for me.

I genuinely become more disappointed the more I use this service. If you want to talk to the receptionist be prepared to wait 30 minutes at a minimum, for a GP we are talking days. If you want an admin task completed, be prepared to wait 1/2 business weeks. I am currently on day 9 at this point. Most people reading this would be sacked if they took 9 days for a admin task. It’s embarrassing. Unfortunately it’s the nearest service within 3 miles for me that were still taking people on when I was looking for a GP. On the plus side the living well partnership try to use the other sites to fill gaps if you need an emergency appointment. Try being the key word. Do better lady’s walk.
