I scream for ice cream! Great outdoor seating area with an excellent choice of radio station. Juno and I had a perfect summer night.

Love the ice cream but should make employees with l9ng hanging hair wear hair nets when making customers ice cream. When leaning in cooler to scoop ice cream long hair is hanging over the opening of the ice-cream barrels and when they move hair out of their face not washing their hands. Been going there for years but first time for this happening. Cannot give normal 5 stars for this visit 😞

Worth a stop on a drive by. Their boozy concoctions are fun. I liked the baileys ice cream. It’s $10 a pint though 😳

I understand why this place is so busy. Friendly service, a great product, and very fair price for the quality. I stopped by on a colder December afternoon so there was not a line but steady traffic. Shares a parking lot with the bowling alley next door. Old fashion counter seating. Throw back to an older time which seems perfect for an ice cream shop.

Such a great place. I didn't like the vegan option that I ordered so I saved myself a few calories and didn't eat it. I didn't complain, I just chose not to eat it. That was my 1st time not liking something there.

I'm torn that they're open year round as I'm addicted. There are lines over to the bowling alley next door during the summer season sometimes. Ice cream made here with seasonal flavors like mackinaw island fudge, sorbets, their ice cream sandwiches, shakes and floats. Massive ice cream cones for $4.50+. I was torn between them and another nearby shop so chose both. I'm fickle but love ice cream 🍦

Wowow where do I start ! The establishment was nice, clean and very well lit. A blast from the past experience from the moment you walk in the door with an array of flavors that I guarantee will make your mouth water. The service was fantastic, we were between multiple flavors and before even having the idea, the workers asked if we would like to try any. The ice cream is well priced for the size of scoop you get. The flavors are endless and all made in house. Rays, we will definitely be back !!

This is a late entry. I visited this place on 06-07-2023. Okay...so I go into Ray's and order a banana split. I tell the guy my choice of three flavors of ice cream. He says they are out of bananas. I tell him that is fine. He asks if it was okay to put the toppings on the side. I said that is fine. I didn't know there were going to be nine scoops of ice cream!

Super cute atmosphere and the ice cream was AMAZING!! Our favorite today was the cookie monster, which was blue moon and cookies. Made in house and wonderful

Ray's is a great ice cream parlor. Ginormous portions, lots of flavor choices, and great tasting ice cream. No wonder there is always a line coming out the right door, very popular! My wife had a small cup, and I pigged out with a large cup. There were easily 5 scoops between us & it was less than ten bucks!

We got the coconut ice cream and the orange pineapple ice cream. Both were good, they were better combined. The place is nice but there are a few places close by with better options and a cleaner store. Also we did find a hair in one of our cups. Would go back to try a few more flavors.

Wonderful friendly and helpful young staff serve up delicious hand-scooped ice cream in a wide variety of flavors. Can be enjoyed indoors in the air-conditioning or outside at the picnic tables.

Ice cream is often considered amazing for several reasons. First, its creamy and smooth texture provides a delightful sensory experience. Second, it comes in a wide variety of flavors, from classic options like chocolate and vanilla to more adventurous combinations, allowing for personal preferences and exploration. Additionally, ice cream is often associated with joyful occasions, such as summer days, celebrations, or simply indulging in a sweet treat. Its cold temperature can be refreshing, and the act of enjoying ice cream can create feelings of happiness and nostalgia. Overall, the combination of taste, texture, and emotional associations contributes to the widespread appreciation and amazement people have for ice cream and this place has that 👍

This ice cream always tastes premium and fresh every time we visit. The new ownership seems to have taken Ray’s to the next level. Our family will drive out of our way often to visit Ray’s Ice cream. Never disappoints.

Ray’s ice cream the nostalgic was cool the service was friendly. The black Cherry ice cream with a sugar cone was great and chocolate malt was a solid 4. I would return when in the area.

Ray's Ice cream is simply delicious and leans on nostalgia to become just as memorable as your childhood sundaes. My wife and chickened out of getting the banana split (good for 4 people), 10/10 would bring 2 others just to try it!

Great local ice cream shop! It taste really good and mostly Michigan products are made and sold. The inside is giving 50’s which is so cute!

I am so pleased with the Ice Cream cake I ordered for my husband’s bday!! Terrific flavor and great customer service! Was something fun and different other than just a standard bday cake. It was a big hit!

Ray’s is my favorite place to go for hard scoop ice cream. Cutest aesthetic with very friendly employees. Lines can get pretty long depending on the day but definitely worth it!

I heard amazing about Ray’s while visiting Birmingham, MI and it could not have lived up to the hype more. They have the best ice cream I’ve ever had in my life and I’m not exaggerating. Highly recommend a visit to Ray’s!

Locally made ice cream shop. They still sell ice cream in the half gallon. 20+ flavors, as well as a variety of flavors of sherbet, and seasonal flavors of ice cream. Shakes, sundaes and waffle cones for your dairy treat. Personally, I go for the English Carmel.

This place is so cool! The original store sign is on display inside the store as well as the old barstools that are still in use inside! They have a great variety of flavors and a “small” ice cream is more like a “medium” in my opinion! You get a great value for your money here.
