The worst condition I have ever seen

The room is clean and spacious enough. Out- dated? Yes, but if you are out exploring most of the day and just go back to sleep, it will do. Poor signal ( can’t use my mobile data) and very slow to almost non-existent wifi connection. So if you’re a laid back traveller who just rely on the map plus the internet on the travel day itself, I’d suggest to do a bit or research before arriving at this hostel. If it’s the location alone, I’ll give it 5 stars as it is so accessible. Photo below is just outside the establishment.

I stopped by Hostal Ruano briefly to take a much needed 3hr nap after a long flight that arrived early in the morning. The room was booked in advance. The staff were very helpful and accommodating! The room was clean and had beds, a closet, TV, and a sink. The shared bathrooms were very clean as well. The location is right next to Plaza Puerta del Sol, a central tourist destination. Would recommend.

Great location, comfy bed and good shower.

They charged the amount of the reservation twice, I prove it with my bank account details and I NEVER got my refund. Thieves!

Worst place I ever was. Only the location is good. But if you want to see how's the hell, then give it a try.

The room smells a lot a cigars. It was hard to find, dont have outdoor sign to help.

Wi-Fi was a little flaky. Heating seemed to come and go. Clean overall though.

Very noisy, difficult welcome at night. Nothing explained. VISA card payment difficult.

No towels, musky smell in the room, sheets were covered in hair. We checked out after one night and the receptionist didn’t even ask if everything was ok. It is probably a common occurrence!
