The service was really fast and the employees were nice. Now the issue I have is the portions are tiny. If I am paying $12 for a burrito ($15 after tax) it needs to have more than a tiny scoop of everything. The scoop of rice and beans weren't even a spponful. The burrito after being completely wrapped up was very small. The meat was good for the 6 pieces of steak that was on it.

Customer service was great. +The lady who made my steak burrito was nice and friendly. +The restaurant has a cool and clean atmosphere. -The food, however, needs some work. It wasn’t terrible, just lacked any sort of flavor. I had a steak burrito packed full of fresh ingredients and added their queso as well. It did taste fresh, but overall it was just bland and underwhelming. Maybe it was just the steak? It was definitely not flame grilled, and lacked any sort of seasoning. Come on baby, give me some FLAAAVOR! I will give this place another chance eventually, but I will not be getting the steak again.

So I’m originally from Colorado and moved here for college. I was excited to eat here because my Colorado friends have all told me me that it was a decent enough place to eat. I’m all ok on cold food because I can easily take it home and reheat it but that’s if it wasn’t for the service. So maybe I came in at the wrong time or a bad time, but the person making my burrito (long blonde hair gal) first didn’t acknowledge me, and then when she did looked put out with me and while making burrito she seemed kinda rushed when there was no one behind me. But the real kicker is after I paid and sat down to eat all I could hear was the my server talking bad about me to her coworkers in the back. That in itself made my food feel sour. (Also I’ve worked in the customer service industry, and can say I under stand looking done with life and being rushed… I don’t understand how you can talk bad customers while they are in the same building as you)

Excellent food. Very clean. Friendly and efficient service. Very nice art in the bathrooms.

i asked for salsa verde and she (the employee) gave me pico de gallo 😭😭 now, i didn't say anything, because im a coward and frankly it wasn't worth my time, but if im paying $15 for a burrito, it would be nice to get what i ask for...

This place has burritos and wraps (not hip-hop, but sandwiches, yo). My lunch was quick, made to order, and delicious. The only complaint-- and this is truly a "first world problem"-- is that they serve too much food. Seriously, my burrito was so large I had to rest it on the table to eat it. Burritosaurus Rex, in the house. Live and direct, at Barbacoa's in Spearfish. Worth the trip.

Road-tripping and stopped in here, honestly was the best food we’ve had from any restaurant in a week. I am extremely picky when it comes to tacos and burritos and this place was SO good. I got the #4, it was delicious and actually super spicy. My husband got the breakfast burrito with added chuck norris sauce and he was also happy with his. These boys in here were super friendly, and they even happily remade my husbands burritos because he didn’t want potatoes in it. Definitely stop in here, it’s super good. You won’t be sad!

Chipotle WHO? Real chill vibes, excellent food with A TON of offbeat options, fast and friendly service, and some whimsical artwork in the bathrooms (check it out). I’d eat here… often, if I lived in town.

Food was absolutely delicious and a lot of food for a reasonable price. Would definitely go back again.

Barbacoa’s is the best burrito place around. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful and the sauces are unique. The “Chuck” sauce is my favorite hot sauce(get it on the side so you can get the full flavor of it)! The owner Nick is great at coming up with a wide variety on his menus and whenever I am going out to eat in Spearfish I go back and forth between Barbacoas and Killians.
