Very typical Aloft, good service, friendly staff. BUT, just as others have mentioned, the hotel is RIGHT NEXT TO a Mosque prayer broadcast, and it blasts off 4:00 AM (YES, AM) daily! I would rate this noise as loud as a fire alarm; visitors beware!

My usual go-to hotel in Jakarta. Pros - 1) Friendly staff - always willing to help or guide. 2) Comfortable rooms, with a nice workspace and natural light. 3) Strong pressure in the shower. 4) Good breakfast spread with local and Western options. Like the coffee here. 5) Strong wifi, never faced an issue with it. Cons - 1) Rooms can be a bit small for 2 people, or 2 people with a kid.

Always had good experience with Aloft until today. Being an avid travel and pardon my ignorance on deposit as I have never come across it. It’s either I pay for the room upfront or I put my credit card on file which should be good enough for all incidentals. So when you asked for a deposit, I naturally say no as it’s an unfamiliar concept. So there I go to and have lunch at the hotel and asked for it to be charged to the room. And I was very confused when you say I can’t charge to the room even when you have my credit card on hold. What I don’t understand is you could have told me to settle my room up front and any other incidentals I would have to pay on demand. So why still hold my card details when it’s useless

Nice hotel from the Marriott group located in Central Jakarta quite close of many activities, restaurants and bars. The staff is very friendly and professional The room are spacious and bed very comfortable. Room are quite well sound proof, but no windows as you can hear the close mosque prayer call during the night which can be disturbing if you have a light sleep. The breakfast is mainly Indonesian, you will find few pastries, pancakes and waffles however not as soft as you expect in Europe but still eatable. The pool and gym are a bit small for all the room however it was never full during my stay. at the lobby floor you might find some love band music over the weekend, always nice to hear. As well 2-3 machines game arcade are available for free, always good to have fun on games. The hotel proposes as well some massages , however didn’t get the chance to try them A good hotel to stay if you are a looking for a nice hotel budget in central jakarta

Aloft Jakarta Wahid Hasyim is located in central Jakarta so for me it was easy to commute everywhere. I didn’t get the free room upgrade even though I am a Gold Elite member of Marriott Bonvoy because the hotel does not participate in room upgrade program. The receptionist was friendly and helpful - customer-oriented. The assigned room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I didn’t use the hotel facilities except for the in-room service and the food was good. The breakfast menu was OK and the overall stay for 5 days was convenient and comfortable. Thank you again for the awesome hospitality.

For an Aloft property, this hotel is a little congested overall. Rooms, dining, gym all feel cramped. The location is good though with a number of good restaurants in close proximity. The rooms are okay. Not enough wardrobe space for a longer stay. But all the regular equipment is all there. My biggest issue is the water bottles. All Marriott properties seem to have moved to glass water bottles. Which is good. But these glass bottles are so small that its really pathetic. This needed to change. The morning breakfast got too crowded and it was really difficult to find space and get your eggs done or get coffee. I would recommend this hotel only for short 2 to 3 day stays.

Conveniently located close to city centre but avoiding the heavy traffic. There are restaurants along the streets but grab food is pretty easy as well. Good service and quiet rooms, only downside is the morning prayers at 4am and other times along the day which could disrupt sleeps and naps. Breakfast could be better as well in terms of taste but good thing is that you could order your own fruit blend and pastry were good!

Location very central. Soundproof is bad. Can hear 12am+ neighbour rooms doing all sorts of things. Dogs barking 12am. Mosque prayer at 5am. Can’t sleep. Noisy.

I stayed here for two nights for work. The hotel is easy to find, the reception was efficient and staff friendly. The hotel has a fun and modern vibe. My room was on the 14th floor. It was more than fine for a business trip! Lovely big bathroom, a desk to work from, small fridge, safe, and large bed. Breakfast was mostly Indonesian food but there were more than enough options for Western food too. Unfortunately I had no time to use the gym, pool or any other services at this hotel so can't comment on them. I would stay here again on future business trips.

The place is okay. They have indoor pool but not big enough where you can actually swim for exercise. For kids is ok. Walking distance to sabang food galore which is great point. But for 2 nights in a row i stayed i cant sleep well. There's always some noise i keep hearing, door opens and closes, some whirring noise every now and then.

Nice hotel in a good location for a reasonable price. Nice city views if you stay on the right side. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent: never seen such a great selection of food at a midrange hotel. There’s a small gym but which is a bit better equipped than most small hotel gyms. Only downside was that one elevator went out of service and the whole hotel had to share a single elevator for about a week. It wasted a lot of time every day

Good cost benefit, gym and pool good enough for a work out and splash. Lobby with 24h shop for late snacks and a bar with pool table. Clean rooms and friendly service all around.

Repatriation (quarantine) package; kind sized bed room. The room is nice and clean but a bit too small for quarantining. There are 3 meals a day and a coffee break (snack) - it's more than enough, never really finished the full meal. One can order snacks and more food and coffee/bears from a room service menu. Pretty good and stable wifi to work. The bed is amazing and the view is nice.

Free smoker not suitable for smokers but lobby have smokers area, excellent staff, excellent room, good services, try to check in here, first hotel that hotel have a guard dog (German Shepard) for security purpose. Well-done Aloft Hotel Wahid Hasyim. Central Jakarta but still silence environment not to noise. 3 day 2 night here, for culinary both menu good Indonesia or Western. Keep it up

Great location and friendly staff. But the room is very dark, and the hot water in the shower isn't stable, sometimes hot sometimes not. Breakfast was okay, the waiter will take the food for you. There was TV shoots when we were there during the day until night, and it made us feel unsafe because many of the crew were not wearing masks, even when using the elevator.

Just completed my 7-night quarantine here. Truly best value for money. Room has decent size and features. Wifi speed is good (40-60Mbps). More importantly the meals served taste good and in good amount. Rate was IDR8.19mn already including one-way airport transfer, 2x PCR tests on day 1 and 7, 3x meals, laundry 5 pieces per day. Laundry service is same day!

It’s a pretty worn out hotel. AC was not working in my room and they send a repair man to fix it. Lol. Very unprofessional. Then they agreed to change the room. And there is a water leakage in the bathroom in the new room. Aloft Bangkok great value. Aloft Jakarta doesn’t worth the money they ask for.

This hotel services and staff friendliness is way more pleasant than a 5 stars hotel like swissotel (i often stay there). Sadly there is no bigger room available like executive suite or president suite, only 2 types of room and both are small.

Had the most wonderful stay at this hotel. It has a great location, walking distance to Sarinah, the night street food of Jalan Sabang and a short taxi ride to Plaza Indonesia & Grand Indonesia Plaza. Rooms are spacious, clean and the aircond works well. The bed is like resting in a cloud, so may not be great if you like a firm bed. Breakfast spread is big and has a lot of variety, but almost the same everyday. Staff are friendly and smiling. Great stay

Love it, room is spacious, bath room is adequate, water pressure and temperature was good. Gym room is good and clean, they provide towel and water. Location is good, near sabang culinary street and ealking distance to one of the biggest fancy malls in Jakarta (grand indo and plaza indo). I got the room on the higher floor so i didn't really hear much.... until at certain timel you will hear full blast of speaker sound from nearby p***** place... just be aware of that. It doesn't really bother me, but if you are a light sleeper you might.

Stayed here for a 1 week organised research trip. Clean rooms, great service. Would love to come back but the noise from the surrounding area into the night and at 5 am is not ideal. But it’s not really the hotel’s fault.

A perfect stay in the middle of Central Jakarta. The property are good and clean, which is a good stay for staycation or business purpose. Not so big but very functional in every corner. also A warm hospitality by the staff. Good job

The location is just perfect. Close To public transportation, Food places, attractions, train station and also business and government offices. You just can go on foot to reach the locations. Unfortunately you only can swim in very small swimming pool.

Good location and service from the friend staff! Pak Wibi and his staff has been amazing during breakfast. The customised juice counter is a special touch. Amazing breakfast spread! Room is a bit small but still considered value for money.

Good location, easy access to everywhere in the central. Huge room and clean, plus affordable! Unfortunately, when we order for breakfast in the room, there was some items in our plate that was not fresh enough.

A very pleasant stay with an all around excellent hotel staff. From the security staff at the gates and screening, the warm reception from Atta at the front desk, to the excellent service from Yooshi and Selin at Nook restuarant and the refreshing welcoming customer care of Hiitan at Wxyz bar. Not forgetting housekeeping who kept my room clean and refilled amenities. I loved every bit of my stay here and felt welcomed and also safe. A big thanks to all the staff.👍👍

stayed at aloft wahid hasyim for four nights. first during april 7 - april 9th and second time is on april 10th - april 12th. check in was ok, no welcome drinks, very fast, no complaint here. nothing special to write about either. everything is done very fast. as a silver elite marriot member, we were not upgraded both times. room was good, much better than four points thamrin just a few blocks away bathroom was a bit moldy in the toilet and shower area. the grouts turning yellowish, kinda gross but still ok... the space behind the sink needs some cleaning. and yeah, the sofa was stained. location is perfect, close to everywhere. beds are also good. the security people are very friendly. will stay here again.

Parking lot is small (basement and outdoor). The only way from basement is only by stairs, no elevator. If you have a lot of stuff, make sure you stop by the lobby to drop them first. They bar and restaurant is nice. They also have billiard pool there. Not to mention some computers that are free to use. Beds and pillows are nice. View is okay depends on the side of room you have. Location wise is good, in the heart of the city.

The Aloft Jakarta Wahid Hasyim is a quality hotel in Jakarta. Guests will be comfortable enough here for a short stay in Jakarta. The hotel is located in a convenient area and off the busy street, so the hotel has a fairly quiet position in the city. As a Marriott Bonvoy Elite member, I was granted a free upgrade to a suite room with a fabulous view. Overall, the Aloft Jakarta Wahid Hasyim offers great quality comparable to Marriott standards.

  • 5/5 Eugene K. 2 years ago on Google
This is my first stay at Aloft and i loved every minute of it. The room’s space is great (30 m2). I love the layout of the room because it’s unlike any other Marriott rooms i’ve been in before. The bathroom has great lighting and ample space for movement. One thing to note however, placing the kettle on the bathroom seems a bit out of place but it’s not a big deal. And i would suggest and upgrade on the tea provided since Tong Tji doesn’t seem to cut as Marriott-level tea. But these are minor parts only. The staffs are stars. From the gatekeeper, security, the receptionist, the room service, they made me feel welcomed. They are affable and they are very spry in helping me with what i need. I asked for a hand towel and i received it with no time. And when i had some questions about why my points were deducted more than it should, they can give me clear explanation. By the time i checked out and i hadn’t seen any changes in the points, and the receptionist made sure to have the issue resolved, and resolved it is, in no time. I also feel like i was paid attention to, but also given the privacy i needed. 💫💫💫💫💫 They have a pretty complete facility as well (pool, billiard table, computer room, gym, cafe, restaurant, mushola, etc). I haven’t had the chance to utilize every bit of it but i can see they were all taken care well. The pool however is not very big. I think you can get from one end to the other just in a few strokes. And it's only 1.2 m deep i guess. Be aware that they only allow 3 people in at a time. So make sure you book ahead of time if you want to use it. And it's only open until 6 PM. There's an outside lounge for smokers which is a nice touch. Some sittings are provided. I personally do not smoke, but i guess it’s nice to see that Aloft pays attention to it. I love the modern futuristic/street-ish design in the lobby. The grafittis are beautiful. And you really can't beat the location. You are literally just a 5-15 minutes aways from big malls, business districts, hip hang out bars, restaurants, Monas, cultural spots, and many more. And you won't find any issue in finding options for food around. Breakfast is now served outdoors instead of delivered to room which is great. And i can see a lot of options given. I’ll try that on my next stay. Now, some downsides, the parking space is very limited compared to the number of rooms. I didn’t get a space on the basement nor outside. But the staff acted fast and offered me a space near some gates which is nice. Also, the fact that the hair dryer cannot be injected to the power socket in the bathroom because it doesn’t have enough voltage to supply it, is a bit weird. But out of this two, i would worry more on the parking issue than the latter. All in all, a very satisfying stay. And i can’t wait to have another visit next time.

Stayed 2 nights at the aloft hotel, this hotel is on Jalan Wahid Hasyim where along this road there are many choices of hotels because of the strategic location. Aloft hotel itself has a land that is not too wide but has ample parking space because apart from parking outside the front of the lobby there is also parking in the basement, it's just that the lift doesn't reach the basement so if you want to drop your goods, it's better to stop in front of the lobby. For public facilities such as gyms and swimming pools, they are still closed due to the PPKM rules that are currently taking place, it's just that breakfast can be served in the restaurant even though it can only be outdoors so it is quite convenient because of the varied menu choices compared to just being delivered to the room. the size of the room is quite spacious with a large bed measuring 200x200 cm using the kingkoil brand and equipped with 4 large very soft pillows. The interior design of the room is quite unique because the position of the bed is exactly facing 2 large glass windows where usually the position of the glass window is beside the bed. There is a work desk and chairs and a long sofa under the TV. the water flow is very fast so that it adds to the comfort when bathing using the headshower. the position of the cupboard and sink in one room makes it seem like a walking closet. during the two-day stay the breakfast menu also changed from the first and second days so it wasn't boring, every food menu also had the right taste. overall very comfortable stay at this hotel which is also part of the marriott bonvoy group.

Good view from my room, but don't like the window. Lovely swimming pool. Breakfast was okay. Friendly staff. Not too good experience in the room with connecting door. You can hear clearly the voices of guests next door. Pity of me. Unavailable hair dryer, no shower cap. But you can find iron and its table. Consistency warm water over the shower.. I love it.

The hotel and room are good, especially the bed, so comfortable. But i am sorry to say, this hotel is overpriced, you can get the same kind of room & service (especially the food) for over 20% off price even around this area. Nonetheles, this is a good hotel, and if you managed to stay here i believe you will enjoy it as i do.

Basic hotel. Rooms were fine. Water was lukewarm in the shower. Amenities were limited. It's fine for a short stay and was fairly priced. But there was nothing special about the hotel. They also didn't correctly count my room nights so I'm currently working that out.

Thankyou Aloft Hotel Wahid Hasyim. I have a wonderful experience spending 5 days of quarantine here. All the staffs are very friendly, helpful, and always give fast respond (most important), and food is good too. Everything is well-organized. They took a good care from arrival at the airport, the services, to last the day of my stay. Highly recommended for those who wants to experience a worry-free quarantine with an affordable price.

Would give 5 if the swimming pool weren't disappointing. The bed is great and they provide huge pillows. The food is okay; they try to serve a wide range of selections for a 3-star hotel but don't quite deliver the flavor, meaning I don't look forward to having a second round.

Clean, functional and comfortable hotel with good service for a business trip. Taking one star away as there are limited late night dining options and the surroundings are a bit noisy- so I didn’t get the best sleep. Some of the rooms smelt a little funny but the staff changed the room when I complained.

We had a fantastic time, the room was small but cozy and very clean. The hotel is right in the center so can get to East south and west Jakarta easily. The staff was amazing from Tiwi helping so much with anything from checking in to helping us grab a beer, and Satrio at the bar was super friendly and helpful. Both of them made it fun to hang around downstairs. We will be back on our next stay in Jakarta !

My third time staying here when in Jakarta. Nothing special about this hotel but it’s strategically located nearby Sabang, Sarinah and few other main places in Central Jakarta. The service was satisfactory. The cleanliness also satisfactory. The gym was pretty small and basic but enough for you to do basic exercises and weight lifting. The pool is quite small and next to the Nook restaurant. so there might be time people in the restaurant will see you swimming half naked next to them. LOL. Overall, good experience.

Located on Wahid Hasyim road, Jalan Sabang is 5 minutes or less from you, Sarinah is around 10 minutes. So many options for dining out around the hotel and easy access by all modes of transportations. I recommend to book the hotel with their own application then you'll get special requests like I did. Checked it via the website, went to the front desk to sign and access card, checked in was a breeze. I requested high floor then I got lucky and had room 1501. It came with a larger room I presumed, and the probably the best view from the hotel. It overlooked Monas and Harmoni area, so you'll sleep and wake with Monas through ur window. That night was raining cat and dog, they lent an umbrella to me. There was also a guard dog. So service and security were nothing to complaint about. Sudirman area was on the other side of the building, took the picture from the big window beside the elevators. I didnt have breakfast but I swam for a bit, the pool is 25m, but the water was quite cold. There is also a small gym beside the pool with treadmills, eliptical machine, dumbells, water machine and fresh towels.
