A beautiful place. Films like Laila Majnu (new) were shot here. Mughal Garden, the view of the city from top is extraordinary.

A great place to visit. It literally takes you to some other world away from city rush and noise. The garden is well maintained and built in a very unique manner. The place is rich and vibrant. The best experience ever to have from here is to watch the sunset. The top view of the Srinagar city and Dal lake is totally a feast!

The Pari Mahal in Srinagar is a wonderful gem tucked in Kashmir's stunning settings. The architecture of Pari Mahal shows a fusion of Islamic and Persian influences, creating a one-of-a-kind and hypnotic environment. The panoramic view of Srinagar from the Pari Mahal is extremely breathtaking. The enormous Dal Lake and the surrounding mountains provide a breathtaking backdrop. It's the ideal location for capturing stunning images and creating enduring memories. Nature lovers will enjoy the well-kept grounds of Pari Mahal. A lovely ambiance is created by the vivid flowers, lush vegetation, and the aroma of flowering plants. It's a lovely spot for a leisurely stroll or a quiet picnic with family and friends. Overall, Pari Mahal is a must-see for anybody traveling.

Getting in is quite a challenge as the roads are narrow and there's always traffic - I assume. But once we were inside, it became bursts of brilliant colours against the background of stone walls that holds the secrets of history. The scientifically planned residential school for Sufism belongs in the 17th century.

This six-terraced garden is situated atop a hillock. The main entrance leads you to the third terrace. The garden is well maintained. From the fourth terrace we get a beautiful view of the Dal lake and the Srinagar city. The retaining walls have arches. There are beautiful flowers and this is a peaceful area. Pari mahal is one of the best places to visit in Srinagar and spend some time . it has got beautiful views of Srinagar from top and nice garden .although an old monument but the views are worth visiting, so is the drive to top.

A perfect example of "Don't judge a book by it's cover". The roads that lead up to this fort is covered by trees on both sides and offers an amazing experience. The Mahal is full of beautiful flowers and has a great view of the Dal Lake and the city.

For foreigners: 24 Rupees (~0.3 $) It's a nice place to visit. It's beautiful and cold. There were not many foreigners there. I went there on 24th December 2023. It was chilly. It's a seven-terraced Mughal garden located at the top of Zabarwan mountain range. It was built during the mid 1600s by the Emperor Shah Jahan. You could see Dal Lake on clear days.

I have been there in winter that's why i missed the greenery beauty of the Mahal. But If u have the power to imagine the history u will love that place very much. Other wise everyone should go there in spring. But i must say it is absolutely very calm and quite place.

This place is magical. The spring water of Chashmishahi is magical and it is scientifically known. Back in the 90's when Indian PM Mr. Nehru was ill, the water from this spring was air lifted for him to Delhi and the water of this spring is known to have Internal body cleansing properties. Water is filled with Natural minerals and sulphur rich makes it super detoxifying. If you happen to visit this place, don't forget to gulp as much as you can and also take a bottle full for your family and near ones.

A must visit place in Srinagar. Its a historical monument different from all the botanical garden and has an amazing view. I went on a weekend and the taxi cars weren't allowed. Due to this special authorised alloted taxis were allowed which added additional cost. But apart from this the place was good. You can click wonderful pictures here. Overall a great experience from my side.

Peaceful place.... Pari Mahal, also known as The Palace of Fairies, is a seven-terraced garden located at the top of Zabarwan mountain range, overlooking the city of Srinagar and the south-west of Dal Lake in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is an example of Islamic architecture and patronage of art during the reign of the then Mughal Emperor khan Shah Jahan.

Pari Mahal in Srinagar is a true gem nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Kashmir. I recently had the opportunity to visit this enchanting place, and I must say, it left me in awe. The beauty and tranquility of Pari Mahal are simply breathtaking. The architecture of Pari Mahal reflects a blend of Islamic and Persian styles, creating a unique and mesmerizing atmosphere. As you wander through the terraced gardens and intricately designed archways, you can't help but feel a sense of serenity and peace. The panoramic view of Srinagar from Pari Mahal is truly magnificent. You can witness the vast Dal Lake and the surrounding mountains, which offer a stunning backdrop. It's the perfect spot to capture unforgettable photographs and create lasting memories. The well-maintained gardens at Pari Mahal are a treat for nature lovers. The colorful flowers, lush greenery, and the fragrance of blooming plants create a delightful ambiance. It's an ideal place for a leisurely stroll or a peaceful picnic with loved ones. One of the highlights of my visit was the knowledgeable guides who shared intriguing stories and historical insights about Pari Mahal. Their passion for the place added an extra layer of fascination to the experience. Overall, Pari Mahal is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Srinagar. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a nature lover, or simply seeking tranquility, this place has something special to offer. Prepare to be captivated by its beauty and transported to a world of serenity.

Must visit place in Srinagar. There is nothing like fort but the structure is build in 7-8 step floors. Views from all these floors are too good. Specially helipad and dal lake view. Nice place for photography and garden. Can visit any time in a day. Ticke to be purchased offline. Locals come here for picnic and they are playing cricket in the property. That should not permit.

This palace is beautifully located at top of the hill and one of the best view point of Dal lake and the entire city. Garden is nicely maintained and the roads towards the palace is covered with jungle so it makes up for a great drive. Traditional costumes/dresses are also available here for a photo shoot on rent.

From here you can see beautiful view of Srinagar. Here you can see some stones sculptures and small caves. The main attraction is the numerous colorful flowers and exotic fruit plantations. It is also good place for photography specially selfies with Srinagar city in background. Don't know about history of place but I assume it might be of Islamic culture. There are some benches in the garden area so you can relax here. Overall I can say if you are visiting to Srinagar then you can visit this place.

The ancient ruins of the fort is very enchanting. There is a garden and several viewpoints in this monument. It is situated on the Boulevard road near Dal lake, Srinagar. The road to this fort also has great views. Parking space is available. The fare is Rs 24 for each adult.

First of all there is nothing great as a Mahal to see here. The hills and Srinagar town views can be enjoyed from here. Not sure why the cars are kept a long way away. One can only go in the autos from the parking area. Anyways, the place can be skipped if you have already seen such stone Mahals in the past.

The place lives upto it's moniker. The enchanting stone fort ruins nestled in the mountains overlooking Srinagar does feel like a watchful fairy of sorts. But what truly captured my heart was the unparalleled views. Luckily i arrived at Sunset with a light drizzle. It's the closest I've been to heaven.

Nature is a bliss in Srinagar. Colorful roses, blooming to almost the size of cauliflower. Have old and new memories of this place. Visited in 2022 after 41 years. This time with my kids, earlier with my parents when I was a 7 year old kid. Have added a fantastic bird eye view of Dal Lake from this terraced garden Pari Mahal

This is one of the oldest places in Srinagar. The places always very crowded It has seven different floors. You get a fantastic panoramic view of the city There are lots of small gardens inside that are well maintained The tickets are priced economical And there is always a long queue for the cars to be parked and is very tricky There is very less information available on this monument. There is no one to explain that aspect as well The lord of good spots to take pictures It's a good place for the family to spend an evening You can see a good person of the city The king built this place for is eldest son is what they say. There are many versions of the story and no one can say which is the write version of the story for us to believe Places well maintained but you would finish looking at it in an hour Terror stores below the Mahal selling snacks. There are armed personnel securing the Mahal. There are interesting ways to go up and down the 7 floors and the kids can really have good fun! There are benches too for people to sit and jibber jabber. We visited this during our vacation and had it in our one day sightseeing plan along with other gardens

Pari Mahal Srinagar, also known as Peer Mahal, is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Kashmir. It is a seven-terraced Mughal garden that may not be the largest but definitely sits at the best location of them all. It is also one of the best points to view sunset in Srinagar. The panoramic view enclosed by the majestic Himalayas provide us with deep serenity and mindfulness. The park is well maintained. The view of the setting sun that you get from Pari Mahal is really amazing which makes it a perfect spot for photography as well. This historical monument sits on top of the Zabarwan mountain range overlooking the city of Srinagar and the Dal Lake.

One of the Best place Visit In Srinagar. The view of Dal Lake is awesome from here. Well maintained by archaeological survey of India. Before entering are there is Body scanning is Mandatory including your luggage in Vehicle. Ticket is Mandatory before visit for Adults and Children's above 5 Year. The major issue is Parking is not that enough. You may leave your Vehicle one KM down and walk at peak hours. But it's worth.

Beautiful place worth a visit. Mahal was gifted to his wife by an Islamic king. Absolutely built with beautiful stone. The mahal located on hills has scenic beauty around. When we went a lot of renovation work was going on which made it difficult to walk around. The place is worth a visit.

Pari Mahal or palace of fairies is a mughal garden placed on the foothills of Zubarwan mountain range. It overlooks Dal lake and the city of Srinagar. The road to the garden is through a forest full of wild life and people are warned not to alight from the vehicle on the way. The view from the terraced garden is spectacular and photogenic. This palace is a seven-terraced garden and was built as a library and residence for the Mughal prince Dara Shikoh in the mid-1600s. It is an example of Islamic architecture and patronage of art during the reign of the then Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Dara Shikoh was said to have lived in this area in the years 1640, 1645, and 1654. It was further used as an observatory, useful for teaching astrology and astronomy.
